Update: Let me just say customer service is BIG with me and I appreciate Swish reaching out not only to check on how I was feeling but to explain everything that happened and provide me a breakdown. I am always willing to listen when a business is wanting to know how they can incorporate a not so good situation into a learning opportunity. You have regained my trust and respect. Also want to shout out Dr. Magee because I truly had an amazing experience with my dental work that was painless and quick. My original review was based off financial miscommunication and not services. The fact you guys went over and beyond to make sure I was okay speaks volumes!! Today was our second visit here and I really wanted to like this office but I left very disappointed today and now will have to search for another new dentist. It is already hard enough to find good medical/dental providers that are honest and practice their craft safely. I agree the checkin process is quick and easy, you can fill out new patient forms online. My X-rays and services needed were explained during my first visit. I signed two treatment plans for me and my daughter and scheduled follow up appointments to start getting our dental work completed. However today when I arrived at the office and paid about $350 it was not for what I was originally quoted. $204 was supposed to be for a cleaning and two upper fillings on my left and right. I was told I was only scheduled for one so I was very much confused about what I had just paid for. I had to show the treatment plan I signed and was told that is not what is in my chart. Okay thank you for reviewing the information. After having mine and my daughter's work done I am then told our prices have changed because they were using an outdated fee schedule....which I was asked to sign the new ones. These were not small price adjustments like $20/$30 the quotes were off by $70-$150. That doesn't make any sense that you cannot even provide me the correct quote so how do I even trust that this "new" fee schedule is correct. I have never had this happen. If anything I'm usually paying over and ending up with a credit. It would have been better to show me the different fee schedules and how my treatment plans were calculated wrong versus showing me to different plans with very different amounts. If you go here I would definitely have them double check your quotes and billing. read more

I had an appointment with them on June 15th and asked for a specific medication, they sent in the wrong prescription for a topical cream that had nothing to do with the dental paste I requested. I called them on June 18th to inform them of their error and they said they would rectify it and send in the correct prescription. They did not. I called again on July 2nd to ask them to please send in the correct prescription to my pharmacy, they still have not, nor have they followed up with me like they said they were going to. It's now over 2 weeks trying to get them to fix an error they made and I am growing increasingly frustrated, as we are going into a holiday weekend and I still don't have the prescription I NEED. read more

Was needing a new dentist and this is right next to where I live. Appointment process was simple and mostly online. I liked that they outlined what the insurance would cover. The staff was super friendly and all seemed to know what they were talking about. The office is very clean and modern. The actual exam seemed like it took a long time. It's like a new machine comes up every year. Got a cleaning done pretty quickly though. I'm glad cause that sucked. Not surprised at the comments on additional work needed. I hadn't gone to the dentist since pre-pandemic. I'll come back for regular appointments. The teeth whitening caused me no sensitivity. It just really sucked during the hour long process. Whatever thing is used to keep my teeth prepped for the light was hurting so bad. Didn't see too much of a difference, but my teeth were already pretty white according to their scale. This is the most unorganized chain of dentistry. Recently I left a review for the location in Austin. The regional manager reached out to me. At that location I have had them cancel almost all of my appointments within 24hr. When I finally got through to see the dentist, she messed up my cavities and I have been in extreme pain since. The regional manager saw my review and suggested I give them another chance, and that she was going to have me go to the location in pflugerville to see their best dentist because he trains other dentists. Well once again, they just cancelled within 24 hours. No apology, no compensation, just a oh well, get over it take. This place does not care about your time, all they care about is your $. At this point I really am done with this place. Shame on you people for overbooking and constantly cancelling. I should be reimbursed for you inconsiderate approach. Swish Dental - Pflugerville - Cancelling AGAIN and not caring AGAIN - Cosmetic Dentists Near Me - Pflugerville, Texas

Don't let the cute vibe fool you, their business practices are dodgy. A couple weeks back (when I was pretty aggressively sold expensive Invisalign on my first appointment ever with them , despite having very slight orthodontic problems - they even pulled out an interest rate chart and tried to sell me a discounted package deal with my wife), the hygienist thought I might have gingivitis as my gums were inflamed, but that it could just be something else. They booked a cleaning for gum problems (that cost me much extra), and then a second normal cleaning that had to happen weeks after the gum cleaning. My gum inflammation went away, so today I asked the checkin people to skip the gingivitis cleaning and go straight to the normal cleaning, because I didn't want to pay extra and then wait weeks (a total of 3 appointments for someone who had no cavities). They said they couldn't go to the normal cleaning, since I had a diagnosis. So I just ate the $50 no show fee instead of the gingivitis rinse fee. And canceled the next appointments. It was worth it to be out of their appointment I'd avoid this place and go to a normal dentist that isn't using used car sales tactics to nickel and dime you and sell you Invisalign whenever they can. They are probably killing insurances with all these appointments... read more

I have gotten regular and deep cleanings, regular dental exams and cavities filled and all these services were carried out efficiently and with attention to detail. I went in because I was having tooth pain, it turns out I had a cavity that was hitting a root. I would need a root canal to resolve it. They didn't have anyone that did root canals so they said they would deaden the nerve and cap it until I could get a root canal. During the procedure, the dentist was hitting area where the novacaine wasn't doing its job and rather than administering more novacaine, he continued on and put me in more pain during the procedure. The assistant didn't know half of what she was doing and had to be continually corrected by the dentist. He said I should be fine for a couple of weeks until I could get an actual root canal, but within days, the pain has returned which tells me he did not kill the nerve as he said he would. Also, he called and left a message as a follow up and said to call him back at the number he was calling from if I had any issues, except he was calling from an unlisted number. Not worth what I paid for. Hopefully the dentist that does the actual root canal will be better. Also, I have reported them to the state board, which I highly recommend if these "dentist" mistreat you. UPDATE: The state board has agreed to investigate after deciding there was significant proof that malpractice had occurred. read more

Appointment at 4:00pm for an emergency visit; I get contacted at 3:50 (while in transit) to advise my primary insurance was not accepted despite an email I received earlier in the day which says the contrary -- and they didn't bother to verify my secondary earlier either nor use Internet verification for secondary insurance -- which is odd -- offered to pay $150 cash pay for office visit but 2 to 4 weeks reimbursement to refund if insurance coverage ... sent home with a reschedule for a full week out because they could not accommodate another emergency visit .... And instead of offering to contact another site, I was offered a phone number to contact myself to schedule another site ... Does customer care no longer exist? Very bad experience for a new patient ... DO NOT RECOMMEND this location ... they do not care about your time nor have any empathy for inconveniencing a customer !!! I love my dentist here BUT my problem is with the financial department. I was told I had a credit on my account which is great they told me a certain amount and it was even better. Then a week goes by and when I ask again where the refund is all of a sudden it is waaaaay less than they said. The whole situation was unacceptable. You shouldn't tell someone to expect x amount when you aren't 100 percent sure. The other incident I had with them was in the middle of my Invisalign treatment they threw away my trays. For weeks they were messaging me to confirm my appointment then the day before they called me to tell me they didn't have my trays. So apparently they don't check their stuff ahead of time. It really sucks because I love my dentist but they need to get these other issues in order. read more

Had a great experience here at my initial appointment. I have a lot of anxiety with dentist visits and everyone was nice and made it as easy as possible. The office was very clean and nice looking better than my old dentist office who used their exam rooms as partial storage. They seem up to date on technology and techniques. The dentist cared about a concern I had and was the first to not gloss over it like it had been so many times before with other offices! Cleaning was painless and efficient, hygienist was very nice. The worst dentist I have ever been to. I went in with a small chip on my front tooth. This had happened in the past several years ago and the dentist I saw at that time easily filled it and made it even. The dentist at Swish was the most incompetent dentist I have ever met. He literally started grinding my tooth down. When he showed me in the mirror I was shocked. I asked what the plan was to even it out (assuming fill it in to make it even) and he said he would grind all four of my front teeth down to match. WTF. I don't know if he was just lazy or really unintelligent, but I got up and walked out and went to a dentist that knew what they were doing. It's not like a bad haircut, teeth don't grow back. I have been here twice now. It is five minutes away, which is super convenient, and every person there makes you feel at home when you enter the office. Dr. Stone is the poster boy for a perfect smile, and his humor and easy going attitude put you instantly at ease - even while poking around in your mouth with a sharp object. My dental hygenist was amazing - will update review to give her props when I remember her name - and she remembered details about our first meeting. First off I DESPISE going to the dentist . I actually pulled 3 of my teeth myself just so I wouldn't go. But of course I messed up and left a piece in one . not saying it was a great feeling after it was pulled , because it was!!! pure relief and joy . You just have to be able to commit . Months later..... it gets infected . I go in just wanting it pulled . the Doc was so damn cool and didn't judge me . Had a terrible visit today. You never see the same technician or Dr. when you go in. I was originally told I would be billed $64 for a cleaning even though it was fully covered by my insurance. And then after my cleaning, my technician said that the last person that cleaned my teeth (also at Swish) basically did a bad job. Upon hearing this I requested a deep clean to remedy the issue and was presented with the most outlandish and confusing pricing. I will be finding a better dentist for my next appointment. read more

The dentists and dental techs here are great. The scheduling and reception staff not-so-much. I had an appointment for a minor procedure today. Less than 30 minutes before my appointment I receive a phone call followed by a text message that they were running behind, and asking could I come a half hour after my original appointment. I replied to the text that I was on my way out of the door and that the half hour was not acceptable for a procedure that I was told would take an hour. Her reply was then "what about 2:15pm?". I told her that even though I work from home I had that hour set aside to have the procedure done. She then says "well it's only 15 minutes". So my time is not valuable?! I informed her that I had a web meeting and could not be late. She said that if I canceled I would be charged a $50 same day cancellation. For their delay?! Know that if I receive a bill I will be taking it to the BBB, the American Dental Assoc, and anyone else who holds people accountable for this type of practice. read more
