Every interaction that I have had with Pflugerville peace officers has been great. They truly seem to care about serving and protecting the citizens of our city. I feel safe moving around town in my vehicle and on foot whether day or night. They are quick to respond when needed and patience seems to have been a hiring requirement. Keep up the good work! 2 loose dogs running neighborhood with no collars or tags tan up into a neighbors driveway and attach his little dog. I called for assistance at 5:29pm. An officer called me back at 6:17pm and said he would come check it out. The dogs were still running free with small children in area and other small dogs. 7:30pm still no sign of officer or animal control! I called back at 7:34pm and the dispatcher said the officer had driven by and not seen anything. I said NO he didn't because I've been sitting right here watching for him. Then the officer called me back and said he didn't come because the owner of the dog attacked did not call in to file a complaint. I asked isnt there a leads law in this city and he responded "I'm not sure i would have to look it up". It's called Ordinance 1468 officer! Not to mention we are in Travis County and they have ordinances against this! read more

As far as Police Departments go i gotta hand it to my boys/girls at the Pflugerville Police Department. And here's a partial list why. 1.) Policeman's dunk booth at the Deutschen Pfest each year... dunk-a-cop and not get thrown in jail...YEAH ! 2.) They help remove a 3-4 foot long snake hiding in my bushes. Photos available. 3.) They don't hassle me for parking the wrong way on the street when i check my mail next to mailboxes 4.) They actually have a few cute cops (female) 5.) They have horse mounted cops that come out during neighborhood watch night. Petting encouraged. 6.) They always wave hello when driving by as you mow your yard or whatever. But watch out as...being the cops that they are...they are sneaky with their speed traps as i unfortunately have had personal experience with. Thanks P.P.D. read more

I had an incident where I was riding my bike in my neighborhood and was almost run down by a guy in a car. Witnesses saw and came over to check on me, called the police, I called the police. They showed up and refused to do anything, said since I didnt have a camera on my bike (who does that) they couldnt do anything. I said what about the witnesses, they didnt care because no video. I then mentioned the dispatcher overheard him yelling at me and the witnesses saying he wished I would be killed, he told the witnesses he wished their family would overdose and die. The dispatcher even asked if he looked to be drunk or on drugs. The only way I could even get them to go talk to the guy was because I reminded them their own dispatcher overheard the guy saying crazy things, they finally said ok they had to go talk to him. Two weeks later the guy totaled his car, I just hope he didnt kill anyone that time. The two officers that showed up to "help" did nothing but stand around and make excuses for doing nothing. They did not care about me or the witnesses. Not a good look especially after Uvalde. If you don't want to do your job, go deliver pizza. read more

I've always have had a good experience with Pflugerville Police. The one time I received a ticket the officer was so polite. My second interaction, I dropped my keys by my truck door after parking in the street. The Police drove by later and ran the license and brought the keys to the door. Our third interaction is several weeks ago, I left the overhead console light on in my truck. The drive by around 3 am, cane to the door concerned that the vehicle had been broken into. read more

I was at Meineke on W. Pecan getting a 7;30am oil change. Their coffee machine wasn't working so I decided to go for a little stroll and perhaps partake in a cup of coffee. That was until officer Walline came screeching across 4 lanes and parked diagonally in front of me. I was detained and interrogated for several minutes and told "there was a crime" "there was no crime" "there was an alarm" "there may have been a crime." Coffee,kolaches, tacos, gas stations...there were people all over the place. But I was singled out maybe because of my tats...Because I'm bald. My fat face. No idea. There was no "you match the description" chicanery because there was no perp. There was no crime. Or maybe. He couldn't figure that part out. So much going on regarding police lately and I didn't see the Pflugerville department reviewed on here yet. Just want to say how great they are. It hard to wear the uniform right now and sometimes they have to do things they probably don't want to do but in my limited dealings with them, once a traffic stop and once an accident, they have so obviously tried to be a kind and compassionate as possible. Pflugerville's growing quickly and I'm sure they are seeing more and more incidents but their manner is still like that of the great, friendly small town that I hope Pflugerville can retain. Something needs to be done about the stop sign at Windemere and Old Austin Pflugerville. The traffic on Winderemete always feels they have the right away, even when they don't. The drivers on Old Austin Plugerville, wanting to turn right on to Winderemere the stop sign doesn't apply to them. i live one Delahunty Lane so i deal with this intersection daily. Been living in Pflugerville for about 7 years. About the 2nd week we moved to Pflugerville, we heard a knock at our front door. Looked through the peephole.....HOLY CRAP!.. its the police!!!!!! OK..I was pretty sure I was clean, so I opened the door. The police officer very kindly stated that he wanted to welcome us to Pflugerville. He had a little bag of welcome goodies. Not sure if that program is still in effect with the growth but.....let me tell you that was awesome. Fortunately, my experiences with the police force has only been in passing. They all seem to be highly professional and courteous. If you are one of the bad guys....watch out!...this group of police officers don't play! read more

My home was burglarized a while back, and the Pflugerville police caught the people responsible because they were patrolling our neighborhood so regularly and conscientiously. Their handling of the investigation was top-notch, and I found them very easy to talk to and work with. They made me feel a lot better very quickly after such an upsetting experience. read more

I've lived in Pflugerville for almost 2 years now. Out of all of the places I have lived in my lifetime, I have to be honest & say that...PFPD is absolutely the best department. I have been so impressed with how well patrolled the city is. This department is what keeps Pflugerville so quiet & low crime. Now I don't want to leave Pflugerville for this reason. I went through the CItizen Police Academy & became even more impressed with everything they do & with the staff. I was so impressed that I ended up deciding to be a volunteer (which was never in my plan). I love the fact that they are community oriented & actually care about the citizens. Being a volunteer, you really get to know some of the staff, which l have started this process. The ones I have met are great, kind people. If you are looking into moving to P-ville & weighing the pros & cons, well a fabulous PD should get noted on the positives list!! read more
