Awsome place, awsome friendly staff and honest. My daughter went there for here eye exam and a new glasses. We are so thankful that we chose PVC over anybody else after our previous eye care profession retired. This place is very honest due to the fact my other doctor use to charge us on an average of $300 every visit for any member of my family and for a long time due to extras on the glasses such as scratch free among others. We haven't change the insurance at all its always been VSP. It's my fault I have never checked with the insurance and trusted the Dr office and had no reason to do so. PVC straight up honest I paid $40 which is the copay for the exact glasses my daughter had 2 years ago that I paid $300 for. I've gotten two different frames from this place at two different times. The first time was alright but the second time I came in they made me want to rip my hair out. I was told I'd have the frames in 1 week or less but not only did they LOSE them SCRATCH the lens but they told me I had to wait an extra 3 weeks. I'm so glad I found them. The receptionists and techs are courteous and very nice. The office is clean and well kept. Most importantly my eye doctor Doctor Bethel is awesome! She is very personable and she tries to get to know you. I only see her once a year yet she remembers me. She is very professional and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend her. I have been a patient for many years, and love Dr. Thomas and his staff. They know what my benefits are before I arrive, and are prepared for my questions about coverage. I normally buy contact lenses, and they arrive quickly. My children wear glasses, and I have had a few problems in the past with my son. He tried on frames that looked too small for him. I was assured by a staff member that they were not too small and looked fine on him. A couple of months later he refused to wear them because they hurt him. My daughter and husband have had no problems with their glasses, and they were happy with the selection. My son has since purchased another pair of glasses that he is happy with. We've been going to Pflugerville Vision Care for years and they now serve our entire family. Dr. Bethel is the best eye doctor I've ever had in 35 years of wearing glasses/contacts. She is always professional and knowledgeable, yet warm and personable with all age ranges of patients. The whole staff has always been very helpful and nice. The only downside is that more people are discovering this great place and booking it up! But even though you now need to book weeks in advance for a general check-up, they will still get you in quickly for an emergency, as we recently discovered when my son started having migraines that affected his eyesight. Went for the first time today, and the staff was incredibly friendly and efficient! It was such a quick visit for an eye exam, and Dr. Amie Bethel was probably the most enthusiastic and friendly person I have ever encountered in the health care field. She was so sweet! Not to mention, my prescription is absolutely perfect! I got some great advice regarding my insurance (as it would only cover either contacts or glasses) and we were able to figure out the most cost efficient way for me to have both. I had a great experience with the woman working in the glasses department, as well. She gave me lots of options for what I was looking for, allowed me to model each pair for her, and gave me feedback on which she thought looked best! Took my 5 year old and the staff was great with her. They were very patient and sweet with her. The doctor was playful and very nice to make my daughter feel at ease in her first eye appointment. I used a different eye care facility before for my other kid and will change him to this practice because of the service we received. We have also seen Dr. Bethel and she is very good too. Over the years this practice has grown so much and is super busy. So It generally takes 2-3 months to get an appointment. We moved to Round Rock a year and a half ago and I needed to find a place to do eye exams. This place was close, so we gave it a try. I was very impressed with the service. We saw Dr. Bethel and she is very nice, explains everything and is great with my kids (ages 8 and 11). We have since relocated to Pflugerville, so now PVC is even closer. We went again this past week and the service was still great. The office is very clean. We didn't have to wait long to be seen. We never have a problem getting three appointments on the same day (although the website didn't seem to work very well. I ended up calling to make an appointment.) I would recommend them! read more
