WARNING!!!! Do NOT USE THIS MAN!!!!…read more Lorenz came to my home and told me I had a simple oil leak and towed my car to the "shop" on a Friday. We had some bad weather and he stated that they needed until Wednesday to complete the job. I paid him $40 for diagnostics and then $150 for the tow. Then sent $550 for parts. I also got a rental for 5 days through budget rent a car which cost me 500$ Wednesday came and it wasn't done. He said it would be done Thursday. I got the rental another day. Another $68 and $15 extension fee. Friday came and he said it's still not done. So after a week I have paid over 1k and it's not done. He promised it would be done the following Tuesday by 8pm. I returned rental that morning. At 9pm when he didn't show up he texted that he was done but there was still an oil leak. WHAT!!!!! He said he had parts and needed until Monday. Monday morning I asked him if it was going to be completed as promised and he said no. He needed til Wednesday. So 13 days he has had my car and it's in the same condition. I just had enough and sent a tow truck to their shop to get my car. When tow truck arrived it was at someone's house. They told me it was a mechanic shop. It's a random house on a sketchy neighborhood and my car sitting in front untouched with snow covering it still. He misled me as he had a shop. He just paid google bc he was the first to pop up. I trusted him and he lied several times. I am now at a mechanic shop hats legit and have had to get ANOTHER rental car for the week. This guy has lied and set me back almost 1500 and my car is in the same condition as it was 13 days ago. Do not trust him

Great. These guys are wonderful. They came to my house and fixed my car that I had already paid…read moreover one thousand dollars to another place. I can't. They were nice and answered all my questions. Any service my car needs in the future will be taken care of by Reno motor work.

The transmission is still leaking after you kept it for a month…read more You hacks got me. Spray-canned the rust-leaking converter and put in some kinda Stop leak. That watery stuff leaking is not transfluid. left a bunch of stuff unplugged If I go back, I will get in trouble or worse. Was told by neighborhood Whites that Black people in Dayton know not to go there, Dummy. Trolls under the bridge. Should not have taken my dad's old truck there. Zero trust. If you couldn't fix it, you didn't have to rob me. For what I paid, I could have just bought a rebuilt. Jesus will make it right. Done.

I had a very concerning experience with Dayton Transmission Repair and would not recommend this…read moreshop. I brought my vehicle in for a rear differential issue that was supposed to be covered under a 12-month / 12,000-mile parts and labor warranty. This warranty was confirmed by my warranty company, which originally paid for the repair. Despite this, I was later charged approximately $450 in labor for work that should have been covered. The pricing throughout this process was inconsistent and unclear. I was initially quoted around $450, then later told approximately $1,600 over the phone, and ultimately charged $1,794.40. At one point, I was told that the cost to tear the car apart was "about $350 + tax," yet the final invoice shows $925 in labor, including a $450 "complex labor" charge. These numbers do not add up and were never clearly explained. The shop claimed my axles were "gaulted" or had "welded themselves" to the differential, requiring replacement. However, I was never given a clear or consistent explanation of what actually caused this or why it justified the additional charges. Even my warranty company attempted to get clarification and was unable to receive a clear answer. I was also told that no further work would be done unless I agreed to the charges, which left me in a position where I felt pressured to approve repairs without a full understanding of the total cost. When I asked questions, communication became unprofessional. I was called a "terrible customer," told I was being petty, and had calls ended on me. The owner was rude and dismissive during this process. After retrieving my vehicle, I discovered an issue in the fuse box area that was not present before service and is now causing electrical problems. This has added further concern about the condition in which my vehicle was returned. This experience was marked by inconsistent pricing, unclear labor charges, poor communication, and a lack of transparency. I would strongly advise others to ask for clear, written pricing and full explanations before agreeing to any work.

Not knowledgeable mechanics!! Took our truck there because the breaks were going to the floor and…read moredash light said low break fluid when trying to leave work. Had it towed to Midas on Airway. After first pick up we didnt even leave the lot due to all the lights still being on. That was after 2600 spent, picked it up a few days later and another 400 spent and it was back the next day after only driving 15 minutes right tire was smoking. Left it there ...after another 600 its still not fixed!! Its was there for pretty much a month and we've replaced the right front caliper( reading 420° after driving the block...after the repair), bleed and flush Hydraulic system( metal shavings still coming out of lines), parking brake replaced, master cylinder, R&R Brake lines, Brake Power Booster, R&R oil dip stick tube, Hydraulic Breaking System fluid Exchange...Even better when they called to say it was ready this last time they said the battery was dead and would replace it for 200....we declined and said well take care of it. Talk about another last ditch to rob us of more money. They brought a battery pack out to jump it and it was dead, so we drove home grabbed jumper cables... it started right up. The battery is just fine. Im assuming they left the doors or whatever open draining the battery. Drove it 1.9 miles home to put it on trickle change and when hooking up felt the extreme heat coming off the caliber....grabed a heat gun and we were over 400 degrees. The system is not fixed!! Totally defeated and dont know where go from here. Totally unsatisfied customer and feel we have been duped and taken advantage of!! We should of known when we went to pick up the car the first time and all the lights still were on....like how do you let someone leave like that or even call knowing its not fixed. I feel they dont know what's wrong and just started replacing everything hoping it would fix it. Here we are in the whole 3700 dollars and still cant drive it!! I WOULD GIVE A ZERO STAR IF I COULD!!
