$5.99 breakfast! Home fries are spicy, and the service is great!

Definitely a place to keep in your back pocket when you need a good cheap place to grab brunch! I never knew this place existed until a friend of mine told me about it last week. We decided we try out on the weekend for breakfast as his co-workers are always talking about it. Definitely will be going here again when I need a quick breakfast or brunch at a good price.

Tried here for a couple of Saturday morning breakfasts by myself over the summer around 9am or so...it can be hard to get street parking so usually requires a couple of drives around the block, so unless you live nearby, I'd recommend earlier than later in the morning. The cafe wasn't busy either of my visits though. There are a handful of tables, and it's very basic, where you order at the counter and they will bring to your table, you pour your own coffee, etc. Very friendly staff/management, who I assume run it, a man one visit, a woman the next. I tried the veggie omelet (5.49 I think?) one time, which was standard, and the second time, their breakfast of two eggs, bacon, toast & home fries (5.75). The home fries are seasoned and delicious. The prices are dirt cheap as you can see, so I'd like to come back to try their lunch someday.

Amazing little cafe! I had the chicken skewers, and loved them! If I lived remotely near this place, I'd eat there everyday.

The place could be a little better kept, but the food was solid and really good price.

Really tasty chicken skewers. The tsatziki was by far the best part. Extremely friendly owner who is clearly proud of her food.

EPIC FAIL I used to love the original Rays food, but this…read morelocation has been getting worse & worse. Even when it opened the food was bland, but it keeps going downhill. The food is now completely lacking in distinctive Lebanese flavours, like they've either cut corners everywhere or the owner (nope, not a chef) has the palette of a camel. . I ordered chicken Shwarma, and my friend had chicken kebab. The meat was so dry it was hard - he LITERALLY couldn't get his teeth through it. My chicken was only a bit better - chewable, but bland and grossly overcooked. I took the kebab back to my terrier. Even he had to chew it hard on his back teeth, then he coughed and looked for water. TRUE STORY! The rice & lentils were mostly just rice, with no hint of the signature browned onions. It was served with some other pretty tasteless yellowish rice, so half my plate ended up being boring rice. The almost grey cabbage was too soft and had no added flavour. The potatoes had become soggy victims of the steam table and lost whatever browned taste they might ever have had. The hummus was wet and over processed. It lacked both taste & texture, and neither it nor the garlic sauce seemed to have ever met garlic. There seemed to be no lemon in ANY of it. Even the Tabouleh just tasted like soggy old parsley. My food was $20, and his was $22. We didn't buy the Baklava. The pastry looked stale, and it there wasn't enough honey (or syrup) to keep it tender or hold it all together. Not sure about the nuts, either. They looked pale the (ahem) peanuts-like. Baklava just shouldn't be made like that. I will never go back and was sad for my friend's failed introduction to Lebanese food. May you rest in peace, old Mrs Ray. I'm so sorry your recipes are also as tasteless as the grave.

Ordered via skip. Good food, very flavorful and fresh. I…read morepaid $2 extra to double up the portion for one of the two plates I got and they both looked the same... in the same sized bowls. The one that I doubled up had more tabouli, that was it. Thought that was a bit of a small rip off.. Anyhow $12 for a chicken plate is not bad, will probably order again but just won't upgrade.

It was a genuine standout…read morethat included a generous spread of high-quality Mediterranean dishes, all at a price point that made it feel like a treat without the guilt. We were regulars, and for good reason, sometimes going every week. ...but that's what makes the recent changes so disappointing. The buffet price has jumped from $35 to $42 per person (about a 20% increase) and yet somehow the offerings have gone in the opposite direction. The number of dishes on the buffet has been reduced, and most of the accompanying sauces have been quietly cut back or eliminated altogether. The toum, in particular, used to be a highlight (garlicky, creamy, and addictive) and its absence is genuinely felt. Now, two people are now easily spending $100+ for what is demonstrably less food than before. Since tax and tips are calculated as a percentage of overall spend, you end up paying quite a bit more per person than what you did a few months ago. The food that remains is still good. Darya's kitchen hasn't lost its touch, and the quality of the Mediterranean cooking is evident. And of course, the views are spectacular. But value is about the whole equation, and right now that equation doesn't balance. Paying more for less, especially when the "less" includes things you loved, is a hard sell. We probably won't be back again, at least for a long time . Here's hoping they reconsider and restore what made this special for everyone, locals as well as seasonal tourists, in the first place.
