The hygienists here are extremely thorough, gentle, and caring. They do a great job of removing stains and are so sweet while they work on cleaning. Originally it was not a big deal to drive over there but the last two times I went, it took over an hour to go 8.1 miles due to traffic. In one case, I had to reschedule before I was over 15 minutes late even though I had called to let them know. Was able to reschedule and got in the same day. I've been a patient since sometime this summer. My wife found this practice and moved over sometime around the first of the year. Reason she moved is that we are both Seniors and have Medicare Advantage Plans with Dental Benefits. For some reason, we could never get them to bill our Insurance Company. Granted the coverage was not that much but a couple of thousand is a couple of thousand that does not come out of my pocket. Her Dentist is Dr. Allison Kelleher and she loves her and the great service she gets. I have Dr. Andy Pernell and he was the founder of this Service. When I came over, I already knew that I had some major issues related to resorption of tissue under the gums. On the initial examination, Dr. Pernell also that I had a cavity under a bridge under my upper molars. Made an appointment and came back and the bridge was removed, the cavity was filled, and a temporary bridge installed. Went back last week and got the permanent bridge installed. This was the first cavity I've had in over 10 years. I have an appointment in January to address the resorbtion issues on the lower molars. That said he referred me to Dr. Getz at North State Perio and he has examined me and we are schedules for planning and deep cleaning in December.

We also talked about my night grinding & an in office retainer was built. I had the crown done & I am so thrilled with the easy painless process. This is such a stark difference from the dentist I saw in Maryland. I had never had real dental work done before and at my prior dentist they identified I needed a crown. It was such a traumatizing experience that I was terrified when Summit advised I needed another one done. I also was given a plastic mold at the prior dentist that I had to put in hot water and try to fit myself - It never worked and it made me gag so I just stopped using it. Such a drastic difference between these offices- thank you Summit. My dentist fears are now gone.

I'm beyond thankful i came across this office which had all good reviews so we scheduled an appointment and they got him on immediately. Our office experience was being amazing everyone was super hospitable, knowledgeable and acted with genuine care from the dental assistant , office manager Lauri and Doctor Marshall himself! They have taken such great care to alleviate the pain he was in and create a care plan to help improve both of our oral health. Our family has gone to Dr. Kye for 4 years now. We were referred to him by an oral and…read moremaxillofacial surgeon after a procedure. The surgeon said he would be a great provider for our more complex then run of the mill dental care needed. Dr. Kye has been a wonderful provider and we will continue to use him. He is very knowledgable on any dental questions or care we have. He also screens for a couple of cancers which I had never had a dentist do before. I like that he is so proactive. It brings peace and calm to know he is looking out for his patients care in a more comprehensive way then any other dentist I have used. Stephanie is a delight and so communicative. She is prompt and on point. She books the next appointment before you leave. She knows how long non standard services require or will check if a couple of items to ensure smooth scheduling. Any time I have insurance questions or need receipts she takes care and pops them over to me in the best format for me. I prefer digital but they are happy to do printed too. I like the big windows in the rooms because there are adorable squirrels that play and run around. It is fun to watch. My favorite part is that Dr. Kye and his wife Jennifer who works at the practice too are massive dog people! We catch up on each other's rescue pups and trade local references of places for dog needs. They recommended us to our current groomer and a pet store we love. I find the dog stories adorable and make dental work that much brighter and more enjoyable. We are very happy with the care we receive and so happy we found them 4 years ago! I have had nothing but positive experiences with Plaza Midwood Dentistry and Dr. Hart, hygienists/techs like Weslynn, as well as their front office. I came in looking like a gremlin honestly, my teeth were in terrible shape. They worked out a plan to focus on the cavities first, then crowns and implants, but I wasn't expecting the huge difference, even with the temporary cosmetic stuff they did (I'm not a dentist so I don't know the right name for it). After my last appointment, I cried when I looked in the mirror and asked for a hug. Went home and cried some more because I was so happy. Sent pictures to my best friends and family. People who see me and know me comment on my smile all the time. They are some of the most caring and understanding people in the business. I've been to many dentists and oral surgeons after my childhood dentist retired. These folks are by far my favorite.
