Good: We booked the closed booth for our wedding reception. Photobooth itself was fantastic. It was easy to use, the lighting and photo quality and prints came out amazing, the props were adorable, the kids were even able to use it, and setup and takedown was quick and on schedule. Bad: The attendant asked my sister in law if he could get any alcohol (we don't drink and didn't have alcohol) and I was told he seemed bummed when he couldn't get a drink... As the bride I was not involved with this but the way I hear it it was a little bizarre. After the event I can't get ahold of them. 5 emails later trying to get the photos I still haven't heard back or gotten any follow up so 2 months later I still haven't even been able to see the photos. As far as quality of the product I would give 4 stars and as far as client service and communication I would give 2, so i give it a 3 overall. I am hoping that I will finally get some attention from the company after publicly voicing my opinion on yelp. read more

So, I thought it would be a good idea to surprise my niece with a photo booth for her 10th birthday. The technician they had during the event was super friendly and helpful. The technician had to balance taking care of his props and equipment from all the kids running around but at the same time be fun and friendly. I was in charge of planning this year's holiday party for our department and had Sugar Cube booked for our event. However, Sugar Cube canceled at the last minute on a Friday and our event was the following Tuesday! I was disappointed and upset at the same time because I had promised my colleagues that we would have a photo booth with props for our party. I called around Monday morning, the day before our holiday party, to several photo booth companies and they either could not make our event because it was such short notice (less than 24 hours) or the cost was too high and way over our budget. Fortunately, I found PHAME Photo Booth on Groupon. and spoke with Amy on the phone and asked her if they had availability the following day, 12/8, between 3-7pm and they did. She honored the Groupon price and props were an additional price which was still within our budget. Mai was our attendant and she was wonderful, professional, and patient with everyone who wanted to go into the photo booth. We chose a closed style photo booth and there were plenty of props to choose from. Everyone had a blast and we all had a lot of fun taking silly pictures with each other. Absolutely amazing. The attendant leah was so sweet and so helpful and really made us feel like our obnoxiously request photo taking and asking "Is someone in there" wasn't annoying. She didn't mind when we wanted to change the setting so that the booth could be outside and she was overall just very laid back, calm and kind. A+. My only feedback for her is that she might want to be allowed more training time so she can familiarize with the settings of lighting but she didn't mind when our in house photographer hopped in and helped out either. Small minor detail. Amy was excellent with set up, offered us amazing pricing, helped us get the perfect logo design for the perfect price and over all was just really sweet and communicative. Over all I had the absolute best experience with Phame and would definitely recommend them. I can't say I would ever be willing to pay $1,000 for 4 hours but that's just my personal budget. I was however suuuuper happy paying half that through groupon. My one complaint is that they could use some better props, everything was pretty corny and not particularly anything any of our crowd was super into wearing but there were a few gems and we definitely didn't bat an eye at the lack of props we liked we just didn't use all of them. I think the general public probably likes most of the props they have. Next time I would just use our personal stash. Nice, effecient, on time, work with you happily to make sure you get what you want, TONS of availability and great photos. 9/10! read more

PHAME was an AMAZING vendor to have. I could not have asked for a more communicative, responsible, full quality, and budget-friendly company for the dual celebration of my parent's 25th Wedding Anniversary and my sister's cotillion. The process to book them was simple and I was always sent an updated contract every time I called to add something or change a time. They were also very conscious of my budget and assisted me in getting what I needed for the price that I could afford. For example, my sister wanted a scrapbook of the pictures, but we could not afford for them to do it for us. So ,twin offered for the attendant to keep a copy of each picture ( at no additional cost, but was more work for the attendant) so my sister can make it herself after the event. The pictures are also available ONLINE for up to a year after your event. Throughout the planning process for this event, the photobooth was something I knew I did not have to stress about and that, in and of itself, is the reason why you should hire them. The Service is exceptional, well above the price that you pay. I really cannot speak anymore highly of this vendor. I was thoroughly satisfied by their operation. They arrived on time, were patient with my (drunk) family when taking pictures, and were nothing but professional and fun throughout the night. I am already spreading the word about PHAME to all my friends and family. They were amazing, and I will be using them again in the future. Thanks again to all at PHAME! I hired them to do my wedding about to two months ago and we were a little disappointed that they forgot to bring props or a backdrop. They did show up on time and were easy to get a hold of through out the process of booking them. All in all our guests still made most of it even with no props there to use. So if your going to book them make sure you specify that they are bringing props and a backdrop. read more

I don't even know where to start except to share that PHAME is bar none the BEST! I know there are a couple of options out there for photo booths, and as a savvy shopper I did my research and talked to them all. There were some that were pushy and would talk at you and not really listen to what your needs were. However, when I called PHAME, I can tell you that they were top notch in customer service. I dealt with Twin a lot and he was nothing but professional and fantastic with communication. Being that I used them for my wedding, I can assure you it was definitely appreciated that they were doing the follow up with me and not vice versa as I felt I was doing with many other wedding vendors. On the day of, it was seamless, they showed up and set up exactly where we had discussed without disturbing our wedding party and the gentlemen working the booth was super friendly and patient with all the action at the photo booth. It was by far the highlight of the evening, well after our ceremony of course, ;)...and the kids LOVED it! Phame and Mementostrip clearly are two names for the same business as I dealt with the same Amy N at Phame as well as at Mementostrip and had similar results. My review for Mementostrip is below: Well. That was the strangest, most unprofessional experience I've had with an actual "company". I contacted this vendor last week to book a two hour photo booth session for our company holiday party. The fine print of the Groupon through which I found them reads as follows; Promotional value expires 120 days after purchase. Amount paid never expires. Limit 1 per person, may buy 1 additional as a gift. Limit 1 per visit. 2-week advance appointment required; subject to availability, please call to check availability before purchasing. 2-week cancellation notice required. Tax and gratuity not included. Must sign contract upon reservation. Valid only within 50mi from city center. Merchant is solely responsible to purchasers for the care and quality of the advertised goods and services. So I called before purchasing and confirmed availability 2 weeks before the event and was given the ok and emailed an invoice. The problem came once I mentioned I would be paying with a Groupon voucher. All of a sudden "Amy N." came up with a littany of excuses including: "We're not take any groupon deal right for the Holiday season." - "Holiday season" isn't mentioned anywhere in the fine print "We also mention that clients must call for availability date prior to buying the voucher" - check, didn't I do that? "We also mention that yoy must book at least 3 weeks in advance" - wait, what? It says 2 weeks I say fine, let's not do this - I'll contact Groupon and get a refund. I don't want to deal with a company for whom policies in writing mean nothing anyway. Matter is settled, right? WRONG. Amy N continued to badger and harass me through email and phone calls to try to engage me in an argument and sent me screen shots of a DIFFERENT Groupon voucher to try to prove her 3 week point. At this point I asked her to discontinue emailing me because I've long since decided not to use this company. Her psychotic response, of course, is to email and call me again telling me she would like to discontinue our relationship. Ok, fine, you did the breaking up? Does that make you happy, you lunatic? I refuse to engage with this kind of absurdly juvenile and unprofessional behavior and have asked Groupon to ask her to no longer contact me. In short, doing business with this company has been the professional equivalent of dealing with a crazy ex-girlfriend. Well, it appears last weekend was a big one for Phame Photo Booth because we, too, enjoyed a wonderful experience for my brother and sister-in-law's surprise birthday party in Santa Cruz. Even though a ways away from their Campbell office, Phame Photo Booth's Dillon arrived early and made the setup a breeze. The props and things that accompanied the booth made it so much more fun for everyone. Even our shy guests opened up with some great, fun shots. Delivered as promised. Only thing I didn't appreciate was the lack of communication from Allison near the end. In the beginning she was helpful during the initial conversation and she did give me a deal in meeting my budget with my exact needs. However with regards to the custom graphic. They dropped the ball on that and we had to re do it at the last minute, with the designer himself. Which I am glad they came through in the clutch. The on site staff was very good and they went the extra mile by providing a 2nd person to help with the booth. I really enjoyed them. My friends really did too. I just wish they allowed me to view the photos individually online instead of the photostrip. However different companies have different ways of doing things. WOW! I do not even know where to start. From the moment I called to inquire about a photo booth to the moment our attendant, Joe left, it was the most pleasant experience ever!! Amy was the lady I talked to on the phone and she was so helpful and kind. Joe was our attendant and everyone at my party, including myself, loved him! All of the PHAME folks I interacted with were absolutely phenomenal. From the customer service, to the graphics department, to the staff they sent on the day of the event, it was a wonderful experience working with PHAME. I hired the photobooth for my wedding, a small family event held in my home, and it was a huge hit! In two hours, everyone had the opportunity to pose to their heart's content, and play with lots of fun props. As an aside, the two staffers were incredibly sweet to the two two-year-olds who couldn't stop hamming it up in the booth--they even got them chairs to stand on :) The prints came out beautifully, thanks for the graphic department's support with my custom artwork, and the online gallery with all of the photos has been fun for everyone to enjoy. If I could give them 10 stars...I would!! As many others did research in finding the right Photo Booth company, I took word of 2 friends that used Phame Photo Booth and read almost all the reviews on yelp. I didn't look any further and ordered a Living Social Deal (which was totally worth the money). Booked our date of the event and was contacted immediately by an employee with the details. Communication was on key and customer service was on point. The day of our event, "Tree" was awesome!! Showed up exactly on time and set up the booth exactly where it needed to be. There was a little mishap that Tree had to fix, but it didn't take long for him to fix it. The night went well and the photo booth was a great addition to our event. Later when we received the email to look at the photos online, we found out there were two printed graphics on our pictures. I contacted and emailed them right away and received a call a couple hours later. I will not go into detail, but the issue was solved and the apologies from them were great. A little mistake can be a big mistake to some people, but I thought the generosity and the AWESOME Customer Service that was provided to us was very personal and professional. This is the epitome of a great business that I know will last for a long time. I can't thank Twin and Tree enough for the service they provided for our wedding reception. Our family, friends, and ourselves will look back on the photo booth strips and remember our special day and how fun it was to have the Photo Booth from Phame!! They have affordable prices and I spoke to Twin who was very approachable and easy to talk to. Twin reserved my date, provided a breakdown of prices and followed up with me before the wedding. First time renting a photobooth and decided to splurge on our Baby Shower. It was the best decision EVER! Bao was by far one of the friendliest person I have ever worked with. He was very patient with follow up emails to make sure everything was to my liking. We went through several email exchanges to set up the perfect template and he was also super responsive. His pricing was VERY reasonable and service was excellent. Jamie was the on site person who helped us on the day of the event. She was FABULOUS! We had a few hiccups in the beginning since I didn't quite plan the placement of the photobooth well but she worked with me on it. We moved it around until the perfect spot was found. She went above and beyond what she needed to. All in all, the event was a success, all the guests were happy with the souvenirs and the quality of the pictures. We used Phame for our 20 year class reunion event this past Saturday and the experience with them was perfect! From first contact on the phone Twin he was friendly and helpful. We emailed back and forth to nail down details and he was alway quick to respond and accommodating to our requests. Night of the event they arrived right on time. Our group was a rowdy bunch who were not shy about hamming it up in front of the camera and the attendants were very sweet and patient with everyone and even seemed to be having fun themselves!! I thought it would be a fantastic idea to have a photo booth at my event that was scheduled for October. I came across Phame online and I emailed them a few questions before I booked them. They seemd legit so I booked them in August, for my salon Grand Opening (2 hour photo booth service). I was very excited to have a photo booth at this important event and I knew all my guests would enjoy them as well. I paid them their deposit and paid them the remaining balance a week prior to my event. I had sent them the graphics for the photo booth paper and I had spoken to and emailed Amy several times, so everything seemed to be in order. The day of my event, I looked at the time and it was already 7 pm (they were scheduled to start at 7, so they should have set up 30 mins before the start time). I immediately called Amy and I asked her why my photo booth wasn't set up at my venue. She said she was going to call her people and figure out what was going on. She calls me back and gives me the lamest excuse in the book. She tells me that her people got into an accident and weren't going to make my event. Just like that! I was so upset I could have cussed her out at that point but I played it cool because after all it was the Grand opening of my salon and I did not want to get riled up on my special night. I bet they doubled booked themselves and had forgotten about my event. It was very dissapointing to have Phame's photo booth no show at my event, after I had advertised their attendance to my clients, on our invite, and on social media. It was one of the most important nights for me and my family and I was majorly let down. I made sure I was civil over the phone with her because after all I wanted to make sure I got my full refund. It took about a week and a half to receive my full refund and she did offer me a free photo booth service, but I declined that offer because they had stood me up the first time and I did not want to deal with another disappointment. I would never recommend them to anyone, they do not value the importance of peoples time and or occasion. Steer away from Phame! read more
