Went here on a Saturday night around 10pm. I met up with a group of people that were already inside and we were the only ones there which wasn't really a problem but I do like a live atmosphere. The guy that was currently running the place was playing music but it was so low that the vibes were putting us to sleep. Manger wasn't the greatest. Also prices don't add up. We came on a Saturday night and it was $20 per person if you didn't want to smoke hookah but $30 to smoke for 2 people. We came with a large party of over 20 people to celebrate a wedding and the manager was rude to pretty much everyone in our party. They also didn't have a DJ to play music so they played music off of someone's phone. Who doesn't hire a DJ on a Saturday night? Hookah wasn't bad but service was trash. So, I thought I wrote a review about this place, but that was on Facebook. So let me make sure I tell the world how awesome this place is! Peter greeted me and my friend and was very nice and pleasant. He offered several flavors to get started and said we could sit anyway so we did. I forget the flavor we did, I think it was vanilla, and it taste good. However I was having a hard time learning how to do Hookah, so of course being the nice guy he was, Peter showed me how to smoke hookah correctly and from there it was on and popping!!! They don't sell alcohol, so don't you are going to get a drink and sit back and relax so get turnt up before you come. The scenery is nice and cozy and has an Egyptian look. Also they have several T.V showing music videos with the music loud enough to make you want to bob ya head a bit. It was nice! I will for sure be back for some nice simple fun. read more

Located in the heart of ghetto Carson, this hookah place was a welcome sight after a round of drinks in Hermosa Beach, and the main attracting factor was the fact that they were the only hookah place that was open past 2a, and not downtown! This is one of my favorite local hookah spots. They have movie night and it's pretty laid back. The seating is nicely spread out; not cluttered like many other places. The hookahs are made nice and staff us super friendly. There is a Dominos next door you can grab pizza and bring it in but you can't bring drinks since they sell them here. Water Melon Mint is one of the best flavors, I usually get that and a caramel Starbucks Frappuccino. Would definitely recommend all my friends to come here. read more

This spot is spacious and have lots of hookah flavors to choose from. And the price is very reasonable. The owner is also accommodating and friendly. During the week it does not get busy. The place was small and not much people the dj was okay and the service was good because they kept check on our hookah too make sure it wasn't too harsh. although service was good, I got to say that the shisha or whatever it's called was pretty low end quality because it literally made me throw up. Even one of the guys there who was sitting near us along with his girlfriend made conversation with us. He told me and my girlfriend that it made him throw up and I didn't believe him. I felt lightheaded which is normal after several hits. I have gone to other hookah places like one by USC and another one called Empire Hookah Lounge in Hacienda Heights/Rowland Heights. Once my girl and I headed out and got to our place I was nauseous and threw up too! I'm leaving this review as I sit here. Let me start off with walking up to the hookah bar. The "security" guard checks IDs at the door... But also pats down guys? Uhh since when did hookah lounges pat down people? The "owner" wasn't very pleasant when we got in. Sat us down by the door. As we looked at the menu he comes and asks if we are ready. So we tell him what we wanted and his response "hey I need to help my DJ bring his speakers in, ill get it for you when I'm done" okay really?? Customers come first is what I always thought? Guess his DJ is more important then making money. Hookah is "ok" it's not the best. Cherry bomb is better as far as tobacco. Hookahs are just whatever. But here's the topper It's 10 at night and before we showed up I stopped by 711 to get an energy drink to keep me awake. I walked in with the can UN OPENED and the "security" guard didn't say anything. once we sat I opened it and started drinking it. After a friend ordered a drink from him he looks at me and says "sorry, we don't allow outside food and drinks in here. You need to take it outside or your car" so whatever, I let it go and my boyfriend took it to the car Wasn't Untill maybe 20 min later I realize his friends who happen to be across from us have had fast food drink cups. And he never said anything to them. So why are you going to have a rule but not follow it with everybody? He doesn't come around at all to change the coals or shake them to get the ash off. The place is kinda small so you might have to wait on weekends. The ambience is dark and foggy as hell (maybe air out the place a little), but aside from that no complains. As I promised the wonderful staff person Peter, I would review this place upon my first visit. I visited with my boyfriend, and we've been to many hookah lounges all over the state of California (Especially San Francisco and Los Angeles) - and my boyfriend has been to a few in Las Vegas. Hands down, I have to say not only in the South Bay, but California, this is THE BEST hookah place I've ever been to. I will tell you my reasonings below. 1. The customer service is impeccable. The staff is very friendly, will help you with your choices, and they don't give you a hard time and try to overcharge you for having a person at your table who doesn't even smoke. (For instance my boyfriend doesn't, and there was no problem with that.) At other places like SeaSide or the other place in Redondo on Torrance Blvd... they not only watch you like a hawk but will charge me for two people even if I'm the only one smoking. EVEN IF I SIT IN FRONT OF THEM TO PROVE IT! Its ridiculous. Here, you can enjoy and not have to worry about anything like that and I'll explain below. 2. You purchase by hookah, by flavors. Its either going to be 13 or 15 depending on which you choose.... regular, or premium flavors. I must admit that is so much cheaper than anything I've ever come across. So that makes my wallet happy. And even on a Thursday there is college night where if you bring your college ID you get discount hookahs! Sweet deal. 3. The atmosphere is something I can really appreciate here. Comfy couches, spaced far enough away from each other that you dont feel cramped at all. Walls painted dark red which gives it a nice dark ambiance, and some cute little lava lamps to go along with the decor. There isn't any any overkill of tapestries and draperies most hookah places tend to have (which begins to smell after a while to be quite honest. Its just a nice feel, large space, and I really appreciate that you can actually have some privacy even in large groups. Even though theres not a food menu, staff is happy to tell you that you're welcome to get Dominoes from next door and bring it in. :) Everyone should give this place a try. read more

This place is one of the best and the owner PETER really knows his stuff i.e. Hookah. So i would suggest, if u like to go to some place in and around Torrance, this is the place. Friday, Saturday nights are music nights followed by movie night on Sunday. Nice place to be with very very reasonable prices. Friday, Saturday nights are usually happening with a lot of people, good service; and what else you need from a hookah place. DJ is awesome with all the latest songs with good acoustics. Ambience is very good and the guy just got the renovation done. If you want to take a leak, restrooms are also maintained in a pretty decent way. Oddly enough when I was looking for a new hookah lounge this wan't my original plan but I'm glad that other place was closed and I ended up here. This place is pretty good. Peter, the owner/employee, is pretty great. He's a nice guy. If you come during happy hour the hookah is only $10, score! They have a good selection of flavors, many that I've been wanting to try. It's not as strong or flavorful as other places that I've been to but it's probably average. The atmosphere is neat. It's dark inside and has lava lamps and other under the seats lighting. It's different and kinda rad. I'd recommend this to anybody looking for a hookah fix, especially on a budget. read more

I'm not from that area but we go to redonda beach a lot so I guess it was a year ago we were looking for hookah lounges and found this place decided to give it a try. I'm very picky about my hookah I barely like anyone else's hookah but this guy was just really good and had alfakher which is the only flavor I smoke and the place was just an awesome Lowkey place we loved it. Yesterday again we were at redonda beach me and my friend wanted hookah and I found this place again and had the same experience than before. Came here with some co-workers after our shift because we wanted a place to relax and unwind. Originally we were gonna go to some place in Pasadena but that was ruled out due to distance. So with a quick yelp search we found Pharoahs Shisha Lounge. We came on a Sunday night so it wasn't really that busy. The atmosphere was very relaxed and there was not too much going on, compared to some other places that have really loud music and a million tvs playing outdated movies. We were seated by Peter who I think is a co-owner. It was a bit awkward at first because out of the five people in my group only 3 people were gonna smoked and I happened to be the only one with experience in using a hookah and choosing flavors. Since not everyone wanted to smoke we still had to get two hookahs. He told us that it was one hookah per 2 people, regardless if they were gonna smoke or not which is reasonable. Besides that Peter was really helpful with recommending flavors for beginners and mentioning flavors that can be mixed and so on. They have a $13 hookah with your basic fruity flavors and a $15 hookah which I think was Starbuzz. We ordered one of each. Peach and mint for the $13 one and Blue Mist for Starbuzz. For a group of 5 people and 2 hookahs with about 2 1/2 hours of use we only paid a little over $30 bucks!!!!! Probably the best thing about this place is the fact that you can bring food from anywhere you want. Which is really convenient because there is a Dominos literally next door. NO OUTSIDE DRINKS THOUGH!!!! Doesn't matter their drink menu is awesome! Overall, my experience was great. Great hookah, great service, great place.
