We had the opportunity to witness greatness at The View with the artist Donald Hayes, and let me tell you -- he brought it. That saxophone was TALKING. He did the damn thang, and the vibe in the room was everything. Truly an amazing night. The venue itself is beautiful, and entry was seamless -- no hassle getting in, which I always appreciate. There is a 2-drink minimum, but no complaints there because the drinks did not disappoint. Now, let's talk food... We ordered chicken tacos, which took so long to come out I honestly forgot to take a picture. My hubster ordered the chicken wings and fries. Unfortunately, the fries were definitely undercooked, and the chicken was very light-skinned -- it could have been cooked much more. The food overall needs work, and that part was disappointing compared to the rest of the experience. That said, the artist + atmosphere combo was top-tier. I would absolutely come back for the music and the vibe, but next time, I'd skip the food and stick to drinks only. I cant tell u about the food cuz I've been seated for almost 2 hours at an event and still haven't received my order. The View cocktail finally came and tasted like watered down apple juice with sweet n sour mixed in. This is the same drink order I placed with my food. The seats in the vip booths are so high you have to stand up or sit at the end of the booth to see the stage. Overall vibe is nice. I came for an event to celebrate a birthday. Paid $100 for vip and If it wasnt a birthday with excellent music I'd leave asap. UPDATE: THE FOOD CAME. I asked of I could get the chicken tenders wit lemon pepper. Why these ppl gave me dry lemon pepper seasoning for already fried chicken. Smh Don't come ASAP. I sent my food back, and asked them to actually season the food. Not a fan of management, very funny acting. If renting confirm everything down to the WiFi access. Sound system was screeching every 10 minutes. Lady in charge was acting like she couldn't understand us. We asked her to turn on the lights she just stood there. We asked about WiFi she acted like she didn't understand English. Dj and her are in some sort of kahoots, I say bring your own dj. Very selective hearing and judgy vibes. Couch chairs were sunken in. The place is nice size but I rather a place with better service. A full multi purpose music venue for DJ inspired events or live performances. There is a stage, booth and table seating, dance floor, large video screen and professional stage lighting. Located in Torrance, View Music Bar has plenty of free open air parking. There is a full bar and a limited menu serving food items such as flatbreads, wings and sliders. Auntie GodMom invited Hubbers and I to dinner then catching a show her friend is doing a guest stint at. In all honesty, it isn't our kind of gig, but we got won out by the mere idea of simply spending time with her. We also happen to be free so... yeah, why not. Dinner was only a couple of miles down, so we had plenty of time to make it before Auntie GM's friend got on stage. The entry way was pretty nice and once we were checked in, we were led and seated immediately at our assigned area. I've gone through this area many times to notice this place. I was just never curious enough to look it up. Now I know what it is: it is a venue! I love the set up of booths and couches. I like that there's a bar. My favorite is the lighting on the ceiling. That was really cool, I really like that overall/general set up. For this gig, a full bar was available as well as a really simple menu. Since our party just had dinner, we kinda wanted to give it a little bit more time. Our server, Mo, was cool peeps! She was really friendly and was more than happy to take my order of the egg rolls paired with fries. The event itself had a couple of good moments, but it was pretty much borderline of a sh**show. The sounds weren't that great, it was completely disorganized, they were unprepared (they didn't have enough working mics, music was on and off, there was band equipment but no band, it was supposed to be a tribute to Miami Sound Machine but I didn't hear one single MSM or Gloria Estefan song the 2 hours I was there) and the cherry on top was they didn't even bother introducing Auntie GM's friend who was the special guest of the night! They just told him to get on stage! And the food? Well. The fries were great, but the egg rolls were under cooked. It was watery inside which means they didn't cook it long enough and/or cooked in the wrong temperature. Either way, one bite and I was done. Piggy backing on how disorganized they were? I didn't know it's pay first and they'll deliver later. When my plate was delivered, I asked who I need to pay. The staff who delivered it to me said, "You haven't paid for it yet?!" (I paid it right before we left. I got charged $25 instead of $20, and as much as I wanted to correct the cashier, I let it go. I just hope Mo got paid enough. I was searching for her before we left so I can tip her but all the servers had gone by then.) Judging the venue by itself? Really nice! 4.5. The overall experience of the event: solid 2. But that's on the event organizers. But I am glad of the discovery, though. Should I (or anyone) have the need for a venue for a special event, this might be a good one to consider. read more

The inside of the venue is amazing. The lights above change views, the dance floor is a good size, and there booths and counter tops. I went to a yelp event and there were about 5 DJs playing house music. The speakers can be kind of loud so don't expect to have a conversation with a person/people unless you want to yell a bit. I didnt get a drink so i cant say much about the bar other than they can make mocktails and there's a QR code for the menu. They had food vendors outside for you to eat. Only complaint is that the stools are the counter top are very tall and they weren't adjustable so it makes it difficult to eat read more

I can't believe there's a music venue so close to home! Located right next to my local Walmart, a 4 min drive from my house. In the same plaza where I usually get my take out sushi next door. We went to see Miyuki for my friend's birthday. The interior looked very luxurious, and the hanging flashing lights gave it a "rave" feel. Good ventilation. No line to get in, the workers were nice. There is an outside patio. They serve food here. Bartenders are awesome! I said my amf was too strong, and the bartender poured some of the drink into another cup and added soda to both and gave me both cups, so it really felt like I got two drinks for the price of one. A similar thing happened to my friends, they accidentally received the incorrect drink, and they gave them the correct drink while letting them keep the old one. Overall we had a really good time. Everyone's saying how this place is a vibe. Us locals still astonished that such a gem was here all along. read more

The lighting and the ambiance at the View Bar is nice . The owner is not flexible nor is she culturally diverse. And rude by my standards.We chose this venue because our original location was no longer in business. Our group was about 150 people. It was difficult to get a paid dress rehearsal with the lighting staff DJ owner. The owner was 45 minutes late. The second rehearsal owner had her mom let us in until she arrived. Owner counted her alcoholic beverages at the bar, and measured where the liquor was, as if we would steal from the establishment. One of the restrooms in the women's stalls was out of order for an entire week.the small dressing room became smaller the day of the event when all of tables and sofas were stacked an stored the day of the event 12/13/2024. We paid for hors d'oeuvres, and they were hour late. The bartender was friendly. They didn't have enough servers. Some of our guests had to help serve because it wasn't. She didn't have enough help. We had to purchase rental tables for the venue, and we had to hire somebody to set up the tables and move some of the furniture that was in the view, which should've been handled by the owner. The Food was OK. They served the appetizers one hour late, and it was meatballs, without a fork or a half of an eggroll, so . I'm assuming the venue never heard of a cocktail forks. Our event was a Renaissance after ffive party. The food consisted of mystery chicken red pasta mixed field greens diced carrots zucchini that was bitter and unseasoned jambalaya rolls . Sara Lee cake sliced 1/8 of an inch with blueberries and sliced strawberries.The Parking was plentiful. I would say if you're going to rent this venue. Think again. read more

This past Sunday, the wife and some friends went here for the 49ers playoff game. First off, security was great making sure no weapons were on anyone which is the right thing to do. Service was not great as you had to chase the servers down if you can find them. The bar tenders (female) that was there was very rude/impolite and not very respectful. Not sure if she had a bad day but, you are in a service environment and just a bit of respect would have been enough and she definitely did not get a tip. The drinks are were ok i guess but were overprice even the simple drinks. It's one thing if you tasted more alcohol but it tasted like water with a touch of alcohol. We paid $73 for 2 lemon drops, Heineken and a bottle of water. SMFH. Anyways the inside was ok but bootlegging the television service was not kool. In the middle of the game the darn screens were buffering. I can tell toy this was not the internet but either firestick or some other jail break streaming service. We left, and went some place else and had a ball. I can share that we will not be coming back to this place and won't recommend to none of my colleagues in the area. Underrated as fuck, let me tell you... this place is a random little gem. Straight up Vegas feel, with out the 4+ hour drive or prices. The new menu is straight fire, Chef Law is a crazy New Yorker that gets down in the kitchen. The chefs especial pork belly was mouth watering, the South Bay sliders are damn good as well. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the items on the menu, No Cap! The music is great, you can feel the bass in your heart, the lights are sick. Located off of the 405 at Normandie. A spacious bar located in a great area. In the plaza is a Walmart, Dollar Tree and other stores too. As soon as you walk in you definitely get Vegas vibes. Came to see a friend's performance during a Japanese Urban showcase. Doorman and admissions person were polite. Cool looking venue makes you almost forget its located in a south bay strip mall. Nice layout inside and smoking area organized and accommodating as well. Event was busy but bartenders were quick and efficient. It's no dive bar so didn't expect cheap strong drinks. Just found this place! It's a sports bar sometimes and also music venue. Good bar, tasty appetizers, big screens to watch games. The biggest one in the center is gigantic! Like 15 feet across. Great for game action. Seats are really plush, it's comfortable for a 3 hour game. Nice place! read more

The setting was awesome, but we cannot say that about the"dinner." Appetizers, snack. or basket would have been far more accurate. Was good until one off the bartenders threw a little pissy fit for not getting tipped after I bought my first beer (8$). Dude said "this is your third drink and you haven't tipped me yet!" It was my first drink I bought for myself lol. Dude is a fool for that and kinda ruined the rest of the vibe for the night. I'm sure he was just stressed about other things and needed money for whatever but not a good look for the business. Seems greedy to be pestering people for tips when all you're doing is handing me a beer, i would leave a tip for a drink that requires actual effort to put together, not overpriced beer. My family owns a couple bars In Chicago and we would get rid of any staff in a heart beat if they talked to customers like that. If I were involved with the management I would use this guy as an example to show other staff that they are indeed replaceable. To the owner, if your staff won't respect the customers the customers won't respect your business which could lead to a lot of problems especially considering that most of your customers are going to be intoxicated. I would not come here again unless they change these they operate. The event had doors open at 10pm. My friend RSVPd for me and him but still we had to pay $30 to get in. On top of that we waited in line for 2 hours! People were allowed to go to go inside instead of waiting in line if they paid 45 bucks but then at the end those waiting in line had to pay $33 including tax. Lame. The music sucked too. read more
