This is standard hotel food-- nothing fancy here. $5 for a blueberry pancake-- not hot, but still crispy and light. I used the whipped butter, strawberry jam and maple syrup, which was okay; I ended up spreading peanut butter all over my pancake, ha. Note: You can still order the breakfast special all day, but it raises by $3 after 11am. I don't recommend their mints; taste like a weird mouthwash?

Kids pasta. Good portion size, see chunks of veggies - good sign

Dreadful. 20 minutes for the waiter to notice us. Pepperoni pizza came straight from a box. Could t even finish it.

Dine in was bad. Obviously understaffed saving costs due to covid, but still an embarrassing experience

We were in Tobermory for 3 days and went to the Hungry hiker twice for lunch because it was just that good! We ordered the Thanksgiving special called the "Gobbler" - consisting of smoked turkey, cranberry sauce, gravy and homemade stuffing. Perfect for a crisp fall day! I believe their most popular item is the beef brisket sandwich which was also delicious! It's a messy sandwich but it's amazing. I also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches which had a healthy amount of fried eggs, bacon and cheese on a brioche bun. Absolutely hit the spot. Lastly, their Dilly Tots were *chef's kiss*. Perfectly crispy out the outside, and fluffy on the inside. Loaded with dill to season with a sour cream dill sauce on the side. The only "downside" is that there is only outdoor seating. While it isn't the most comfortable, its part of the vibe. It probably isn't a big deal in the summer but for a chillier day, many people were eating inside their car.

This place is a solid option since they have a covered patio section for bad weather, a small playground for energetic kids, and dog water bowl for furry kids. There is a single port-a-potty if you need as well. The owner is super friendly and food comes out in a reasonable amount of time considering it's usually just one guy cooking. Food: Believer - Packed with 2-3 large eggs, bell pepper, bacon, sriracha mayo, and served with a brioche bun. It's a hearty breakfast sandwich with just enough zip to keep things interesting 4.5/5 Western - A classic egg sandwich with cheese and a smidge of ham. It's plainer than the Believer but larger and more filling. 3/5 Reuben - Pretty legit with buttered rye bread crisped on the griddle. The corned beef is warmed evenly and tender. You may want to request extra sauerkraut if you're a lover of it but it comes with a reasonable amount normally. They also serve it with a side of homemade honey mustard which is an interesting twist. This is a bit greasy but probably my favorite 5/5 Yeti - This is a seriously crunchy and juicy chicken breast sandwich. The sauce is kind of a sweet heat bbq sauce which is very tasty. It is topped with a tasty and mild coleslaw which brightens things up. A bit small to be a full meal but dang good l, my second favorite 5/5 Overall the 4.5 star rating here is well justified. The menu is extensive for a food truck and they're genuinely making fresh gourmet food. It's honestly one of the best places in Tobermory and out-competes the actual sit-down restaurants. Would highly recommend giving this place a try.

There are a few other places to eat in the area; however, we're in a mood for a brewery. This place was clean and well kept! They had sitting on a deck around the front and along the back as well as indoor dining. Our server, Boggy, was terrific! He was personal and professional, keeping us informed and checking on us throughout our late lunch. I ordered an adult beverage and my wife ordered a peach spritzer. Their sweepstakes IPA was absolutely delicious! No question on what it was wanting to be! I decided on their prime rib burger with poutine fries while my wife decided on a grilled chicken sandwich with no bun. Our meals came out relatively quickly. Even though the burger was required to be well done by provincial health standards, it was moist and tender! We really enjoyed our meal! If we were in the area, I know we would be back often! Thank you again Boggy!

Our server, however, was extremely friendly and the reggae music playing overhead was enjoyable and not obtrusive. The food and check did take a while to come out although the restaurant was admittedly full when we came. Prices: You're looking at about $9 pints and $21-25 entrees, it's not cheap but it's also about par for the course in the area. Food: We got the lamb burger and messy fish sandwich which were both very good. The lamb burger had a decent sized patty and wasn't gamey at all. It had a good amount of tatziki and pickle onions to balance out the flavors. They do also have great burger buns that was pillowy while still having a robust golden crust that doesn't get soggy 4.5/5 The fish sandwich had a breadcrumb breading that was very crispy and served with some fresh shredded greens to lighten up an otherwise heavier sandwich. I would recommend asking for a side of tartar sauce though to give it a little more acid/tang. 4/5 We got Cajun fries and poutine fries as our sides and they are the soggier once-fried kind although they had spot-on flavors which made them still enjoyable. 4/5 We would also strongly recommend trying the blonde and amber ales which were excellent summer beers with a light body and subtle complexity. 4/5 Overall, I would say this place is a solid choice. The food has great flavor, good quality, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. The prices are expectedly high for a tourist area but not so bad that we wouldn't come back again.

Unfortunately, the glasses also smelled like it (but wandering around had made us too thirsty to do anything about it) This place is really hidden away, so much so that you are concerned if they are close. And their bathroom is a portapotty, which should really concern you about the sanitary standards of this place. We ordered a few dishes. The Caesar salad was alright, a little small for $12. The lobster ravioli was definitely premade ravioli covered in ketchup. They also only give you six of them, for a whole $17 dollars. The redeeming quality of this restaurant was the fettuccine with seafood, which had giant shrimps and lots of seafood in it. It was ok, certainly not the best though. The kitchen is very open and you can see it where you are seated. It should make you feel more reassured that the food will be good, but the chef literally looked like he would have rather been anywhere else but there. Another guy came in a little later carrying loaves of uncovered bread with his bare arms, bread which later became the feasting grounds for a bunch of flies. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Her pasta slightly undercooked. Unfortunately, the lasagna I purchased from Costco tasted better than Molinari's offering. The portion of my lasagna was also way too small. The terrible, cafeteria-like setting made the prices they charge even more outrageous (even in a tourist area). This experience was helped only by a waiter who was genuinely nice.

The staff are very friendly and food comes out reasonably quick. Food: We got the cochinita pibil, birria, and chicken tacos and actually found them all flavorful. The meats were tender, juicy, and stewed in savory juice which drips from the tacos. The tortillas were fresh and pliable. My only gripe was that they were a smidge small and I easily could have gone for a 4th. The Cubano sandwich is not authentic and really is a pulled pork sandwich with a cubano riff. It did have ham and cheese but they used a sweet ham and regular sandwich bread instead of a true cuban loaf. Despite not being authentic, it was still tasty. Overall this place is fine if you're craving a Mexican meal. The prices were steep at $21 for three street tacos and $18 for a Cubano but most things in Tobermory are tourist-priced like this.
