Vietnamese cold cut banh mi with Vietnamese coffee
Chad P.

Excellent! Not a lot of places in town to find a good Bahn mi. But this definitely delivered. The baguette was a good size, the meats were large, it was super flavorful. It came with some assorted colorful crisps that were all so good. I also got a Vietnamese coffee which was good but not sure if it was worth $5. Definitely going to try the bahn mi again! It's inside the Gatherall Food Hall at Factory 52 so parking is a bit hit or miss. Plenty of seating and a great atmosphere! Service was also quick and excellent.

Lemongrass Chicken Bánh Mì

Food halls have become quite popular and there are three within a short drive of my house. The newest is Gatherall at Factory 52. This location has over a dozen food stalls plus multiple bar options. The first food stall I tried was Phat Bánh Mì. The staff working was very friendly and helped explain the menu as needed. I watched from a nearby table as orders were quickly prepared and text messages sent to hungry patrons. I tried the Lemongrass Chicken Bánh Mì with lemongrass chicken on a toasted baguette with pickled daikon, pickled carrots, cucumber, cilantro, jalapenos, and Vietnamese mayo served with potato or shrimp chips ($13). This was a good sandwich and very filling. I'm not an expert on Bánh Mì but I really enjoyed the flavor combinations, especially the pickled vegetables and the mayo was a nice touch.

Lemongrass Pork Banh Mi, Green Papaya Salad lunch special

Everything was fantastic! In town for work and wanted to check out the food hall. I stopped by here twice, everything is made fresh to order and delicious. They are also running a lunch special at gatherall, where the stands offer $10 specials. Phat Banh Mi's is a papaya salad and half a banh mi. It was great, if I lived in town, I'd be here all the time!

Mango Fruit Tea with mango jelly

I went here for a Yelp event about two months back and absolutely loved their food! Im completely infatuated with their mango fruit tea and summer rolls! I've had a lot of summer rolls in my life and I think these have to be the best I've had! The service here is top tier! They have both one on one customer service and device ordering services in person! All the staff is super friendly and personable. As for the ambiance, it's usually a pretty medium-high volume place because it's in a food court setting. It isn't so loud that you can't take with others, but it can be difficult if you're hard of hearing. Overall, Phat Bahn Mi is a paragon of customer service and has phenomenal bahn mi!

It was decent, but not a great Banh Mi. The service was great, friendly and I'd go back, it's just not great.

Overall it was a bit overfilled so it was very messy and hard to eat. I could have done without the hidden coconut shavings inside. KIMCHI & EGG CROISSANT 5 I had this one for breakfast. I warmed it in my air fryer for 6 minutes on 330 so it didn't overcook. The croissant was flaky and delicious, and the kimchi added good flavor without being spicy. I would have liked to see a little more mozzarella but overall it was tasty! SOBACHA CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIE 4 Also tasty, oversized cookie. Soft and chewy texture. CINNAMON ALMOND BLUEBERRY TOAST (THURSDAY/FRIDAY ONLY) 5.25 Very good. The cinnamon filling reminded me of a brown sugar pop tart. I warmed it in my air fryer and it was perfect. Would order again. I just wish they had an espresso bar!

All seats at the bar were open, but we hoped to sit at a regular (not high-top) table. As it turned out there were a few options in the back. That said, it wasn't long before the place was packed. Our server Tyra was fantastic. Down to earth and helpful with recommendations. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. We started with Jumbo Ebi Shumai. Tyra asked if we wanted a fourth (the dish comes with three) so we wouldn't have to rock-paper-scissors for the third dumpling. I thought they were delicious. I loved the spicy mustard that came with them. I admit they had a slight fishy flavor. I mean it was shrimp and I enjoyed it. Mark is less of a fish fan in general. The dumplings didn't really hit the mark for him. If you like seafood and you like shrimp you should enjoy the Shumai. I opted for Tonkatsu Ramen - Ramen and thick creamy pork broth with roast pork, soft boiled egg, bamboo, wood ear mushroom, ginger and green onion. I added black garlic oil and did not go spicy at all. I thought it was very good and I ate literally every drop. Mark had Spicy Miso Ramen - Ramen and spicy creamy soybean paste pork broth with roast pork, soft boiled egg, bamboo, wood ear mushroom, and green onion. He said it was spicy, which was perfect for him. He also enjoyed his meal and finished every drop. We still had time to kill before the show so we opted for dessert. There were two options - Green Tea or Red Bean Ice Creams. Tyra recommended Red Bean and I'm glad she did. It was sweet with just the slightest crunch from the beans. It was a good size serving, hand dipped by Tyra. The proximity of Zundo to Memorial Hall or Music Hall makes it the perfect pre-show stop for dinner. We will definitely be back.

We planned to order off of their lunch menu, and split a bowl of noodles for her birthday. Chinese tradition is to eat noodles on birthdays, so we asked the server what she recommended. She told us they actually offer complimentary birthday noodles! We were so surprised; we'd never heard of anywhere doing that before. We ordered the Twice-Cooked Pork Lunch, Fish with Chili Bean Sauce Lunch, and the Birthday Noodles. With lunch, we were allowed to select an egg roll, egg drop soup, or hot and sour soup. We both opted for the hot and sour soup. Even without the complimentary noodles, this meal was incredibly well-priced at $10.99 per lunch special. High quality dishes with plenty of meat and fresh vegetables. The noodles were simple but larger than expected, well-cooked, and delicious. My mom raved about this place. She hasn't had quality Chinese food at that price in a long time, and is telling all of our family members that we should go back when they're in town. It wasn't very busy, but we hope it was just the weather. Hopefully lots of people are supporting them! We can't wait to go back.

We ordered a variety of entrees, but the highlight was definitely the pho. The broth tasted very close to what you'd find in California and even Vietnam, which was a pleasant surprise. Really rich, balanced, and comforting. The only downside was the lack of fresh herbs on the side. It only came with a dish of bean sprouts, so it felt like it was missing that extra freshness that usually completes a bowl of pho. Service was amazing, mostly students from UC. But everyone was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Parking was pretty easy, which made the whole experience even smoother. Overall, still a solid spot, especially if you're craving pho that tastes authentic.
