"Sooooooooo" highly disappointed in the price charged for the amount in the basket as well as the underwhelming taste on the wings. I went to Phatt Matt's Hot Wings on 7/28/25 & order the "THE SUPPOSE TO BE THE 5 PC JUMBO WINGS" & 1 PC of fish. Well when I went to eat the wings the wings was very, very small. The wings that was advertised on the menu as being JUMBO was not even close. They was so small. I will not be going back to 118 S Cockrell Hill Rd. Nor will I recommend this place. I came here before and I remember the wings being ok. They weren't great but they were alright and we waited 30 mins after we ordered so I decided to give them another chance today but this wasn't it. The wings weren't fried hard at all, they were almost wet/moist. I couldn't get through even one Sweet heat wing because the skin was so soft & fatty. The flavors weren't good either. The sweet heat was basic and the garlic Parmesan, believe it or not needed salt. I very rarely add salt to any meal I purchase so this flavor was extremely bland. The blue cheese was warm and I heard someone ask if they had any in the back, not a good sign that it was fresh. I ate the fries only and said forget the wings. This place is really easy to miss and can easy be confused with the car wash next to it but once you find and try the food, you will never pass by this place without recognizing it. They really need to work on their customer service. This old black lady was there when we came in. She seemed uninterested in the fact that we were there, she barely greeted us and was moving in slow motion the entire time. I guess she didn't want to come in to work. I've done business with this place for a while now. The food is great, but the customer service is not. I've called several times during business hrs, and no one picked up the phone. I had to go there to put in the order, which is inconvenient. I've also shown up during business hrs, and the doors were locked. I could clearly see someone in there. They just close whenever the hell they feel like it, especially when the big lady works there. Her attitude is bad, and she shouldn't have a job dealing with people. I've continued to go though-not only because the food is good-but we're always complaining about black business not getting support from their communities. Well, this is why.
