Show Stopper Potato, Pretty damn good..!

I've only tried the Show Stopper Loaded (Seafood) Baked Potato. It's in the hood so be prepared. But don't miss out on this treat to yourself, it's worth it..! Great customer service to add.

My brother introduced our family to this place because he's learned about them on social media. After trying the food, I can understand what the hype was all about. Everything we ordered was delicious! My biggest issues was how long it took to get the orders out for everyone in our party. There were four of us total and the time from the first meal being ready to the last one being brought out was nearly 30 minutes. I don't know if it was because they had a lot of mobile orders or big orders ahead of us, but it was a long wait. Now I'm back to the food itself, I got the twisted Philly bowl which came with their signature sauce along with plenty of Philly steak a bed of pasta. this meal was so flavorful and filling and I definitely wanted to go back for seconds but I had plenty leftover. In terms of dessert, we try to variety of things, including the German chocolate as well as the 7-Up cake. I enjoyed them both, but the seven up cake stood out a little bit more to me. It's not a very large place inside and most orders were definitely takeout, but there was space for us to all fit and enjoy our meal together, but definitely more of a grab and go kind of spot

Ordered upon arrival. There was a 30 minute wait from the time I placed my order but it was to be expected. The staff were friendly. About 3 people were waiting ahead of me. They give you a buzzer to alert you when your food is ready. When I did receive it, it was hot. I ordered the seafood pasta with mardi gras sauce. It was definitely filled with seafood. Not bad. I wanted the peach cobbler cake but it wasn't available. I opted for the chocolate cake bowl. Very moist. I had no intention of getting the kool aid but who am I to deprive myself of this popular drink but kool aid is kool aid. Check this place out.

Always great customer service! Mary and her son run this location excellently. He always gives a smile and great service to the customers. Mary is like a celebrity to her supporters and she comed out and greats most of them. The food is amazing. Today I got the delicious pork chops basket. You get a buzzer to know when your food is ready and it doesn't take very long for the items to be served to go.

The fried pork chop plate brought back memories of growing up in Beaumont Tx...very tender and seasoned well. The French Fries were standard but good! The seafood pasta Mardi gras had great flavor and a lot of shrimp, crawfish and lobster. The chicken and shrimp pasta was the same as far as a lot of seafood, but each had different flavors that I enjoyed. The 3 plates can provide enough food for 7 people with no complaints. This a great spot for pickup and I definitely will go back! Recommend!

Here's a lil hidden gym in the southern Dallas area that is worth checking out. They got some Cajun pasta with some unique blend of flavors. I had salmon and shrimp pasta. Was delicious. They was outta potatoes for the chicken and potato but I'm not picky. I'm sure they potatoes was good cuz they was gone LOL. But they had some cooking just would have been a longer wait. They got a buzz system like whataburger so you can wait in the car until your order is ready. There's even desserts. Got the wafer pudding and a peach cobbler cake. Sounds interesting. Overall it's worth going back for more. Surprised they only got 2 reviews before me.

The customer service was very good. You can tell this is a family own place I was greeted upon entry and thanked for my order. The cookie pudding was good just a hair too sweet for me BUT it was delicious like a banana pudding without bananas. The pork chops were cooked pretty well however only 1 of them seem to be seasoned (the top one) it was the same seasoning that they put on the fries and they were just a bit dry. They are thick pork chops so, I know they wanted to make sure they were cooked. I waited about 20 min for my order. Overall it was good and I would return.

When Yelp says do you recommend, I want to put a H* Yeah! I need for everyone to stop what they are doing and get to Oak Cliff/ Redbird area. Don't walk, don't run, fly baby fly! I am addicted to the seafood potato. No potato should taste this good. But oh it does. Your feet will do a wiggle because the food is so good. Chef Salad! Mary is the Queen of it! I have never in life had a salad so well prepared. It didn't make it home. Great customer service with an at home feel. You know the place is built on clean love. You will feel at home.

Food; I heard about this restaurant after a popular IG/YouTuber raved about it. I got the all seafood showstopper. The total was $30.74 including tax. My dish was essentially mashed potatoes with shrimp/ crawfish. Nothing else was prevalent although I don't doubt it was possibly present. The sauce/flavor was good but the whole dish was runny and unfulfilling. To be fair, I was expecting blacken salmon & shrimp over mashed potatoes with cream sauce. (more on this miscommunication later). Service; I placed a phone order around 2pm on a Saturday. The lady taking my order was uninformed about the menu. I asked if the showstopper included salmon in the all seafood option & she replied YES. FYI; It does NOT!!!!! Or my order was incorrect. However, after witnessing the busy counter and pickup window, waiting 20 minutes in line to pay and the utter confusion of the staff, I was simply ready to get out of there lol.. Ambiance; I was told my order would be ready for pickup in about 30/40 minutes. When I arrived there was a huge crowd inside so I called again to confirm my order was ready for pickup. It was over 100 degrees and my dog was in the car, I wanted to confirm I could be in and out bc I didn't want him to overheat. Great thing my order was ready, HOWEVER, there isn't a way to pay at the pickup window, and so I went to wait in a very long line lol...I would HIGHLY recommend you pay ahead of time OR just order while there to avoid this hassle! Tips for a better experience; Avoid peak times ie-weekends, Place and pay order online, (unfortunately uber was showing sold out when i tried) and I think the miscommunication from the employee came from it being too loud for her to hear. Thus, take your time to know the menu/what you're getting because the menu isn't very specific. Verdict; As always just check it out for yourself! No place is busy for no reason & the owner seems very genuine & personable.

I drove out to the hole-in-the-wall spot Mary's Kitchen to give it a try while I was in the area. I ordered the Showstopper Chicken Potato, the Figure Watching Salad, and a Kool-Aid. I appreciated the use of a beeper system while waiting--it's an efficient way to manage guests. However, the wait ended up being longer than expected, even though the restaurant didn't appear particularly busy. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet my expectations. The potato itself was unseasoned, and the Cajun sauce was poured on so heavily that it overwhelmed the dish rather than complementing it. The grilled chicken also tasted somewhat processed. I ended up adding sea salt just to finish the meal. I didn't personally try the salad, but my relative said it was good, although it could have used a bit more dressing. Overall, the food lacked the flavor and balance I was hoping for. read more

They told us it would take 30 minutes but it took a little over an hour. And I was so excited to try the loaded potato but the Mardi Gras sauce had a sour taste and it didn't give creole or Cajun at all which is what I expected when you name the sauce after Mardi Gras. My husband salad on the other hand was loaded and looked good but had cucumbers and onion which he asked them to not add. All in all I wish them the best but I probably won't be back read more

Mary's Twisted is one of South Oak Cliff Dallas best spot for great food for the price , I love the Philly Cheese Steak, Pork Chop, and Special Sauce on the Shrimp. And Service to my TAX And Financial Service employee's go at least once a week. Main staple in Singing Hills and University Blvd. Customer Service is great and friendly from the back to the front. Note: name is Mary's Twisted Kitchen, took me a little to find the place and give a Yelp review. But I needed to do it, because this place is serious. Parking not an issue within the same strip mall. Lady at the front was extremely sweet & patient with us, as it was our first time here. You do need to present ID if paying with credit card. Offset - I think we got this? Cheesy potatoes with fried catfish and crawfish. Crawfish were nicely seasoned with cajun flavor & catfish came crispy and hot. I thought it would be more of a baked potato, but it came in cheesy chunks. Made for a delicious bite. Everything was seasoned individually and came together for a GOOD meal. Red & green koolaid - Definitely sweet but classic, can't go wrong. I liked the red more but reds my favorite anyway. Not much seating inside, better to grab n go. Would definitely recommend this spot and 10/10 would return! read more

Hi everyone, I haven't tasted the food yet so my review is based solely on the desert and drink. I went on my birthday even though I had a cake. I purchased the 7-up and I believe it was the butter pecan cake along with a pineapple koolaid with 5 flavors. To be honest I'm not a koolaid fan but I shared it with a friend and it was fresh and tasty. The cake was moist, bursting with flavor and very delicious. I will be back to try the food. In the meantime, what are you waiting for? Put the address in your gps and give this establishment a try. read more

Great spot in the southern part of Oak Cliff in Highland Hills. "The most talked about spot" so I had to try it. I purchased the fried shrimp basket with fries. The shrimp were tossed in a sweet and spicy flavor with bacon bits on top. It was . The customer service is outstanding, with the employees working there. First of all, when my bf & I walked in we were greeted immediately. The kind women in the front helping us were soooo sweet and welcoming! Now let's talk about the food.. my bf got 'the handler' and i got the 'smash bowl' w/ Mardi Gras sauce. Let's just say both meals are no longer with us cause we ATE all that! The kitchen ATE, Mary ATE, the kind lady that gave us our order ate!!! We definitely gone be back! Lol! Very delicious & seasoned well. The shrimp & salmon were so juicy. I tried my bf's too but i had to stop or i was gonna eat all his food So many beautiful smiles ! & we loved these cake bowls i got the peach cobbler cake! It's soooo good omggg!!! The ahi tuna was super fresh and went so well with the accompaniments, and the crab didn't get lost in the other flavors on that tostada. The crisp tortillas underneath also held up really well to each bite; I'm so used to tostadas shattering upon first taste but the structural integrity of Hugo's were super impressive. For our main we split the fish of the day, which was seared Hokkaido scallop atop a bed of corn risotto. This also came pre-split into two bowls so we didn't have to do it ourselves, which was a super nice touch. The scallops were cooked to perfection, super soft and tender with an incredible crust, and the corn risotto was super creamy and savory. Almost a little too salty for me with the amount of cheese, but still so good I almost licked the bowl clean. Seriously good food here - sad it's a bit of a trek from where I live but I can't wait to come back to try more of the menu!

We told him it wasn't necessary, but he still went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. We also realized we didn't even check what time they closed (the boys made the reservation), and right as I was finishing my Bloody Mary, we asked for another. He came back and let us know the bar had already closed and said he wasn't sure why they didn't make a "last call." You could tell he was worried it might affect his tip, even though we reassured him it absolutely wasn't his fault. That level of service and care is exactly why we keep coming back. Always a great experience.

I stopped by QT on my way home to get a large frozen coke . Surprisedly the food was still pretty hot from my nineteen miles journey. I forgot to request my fish be fried hard paper on the side of the basket . I smelled it strongly from the moment I picked up my order from the counter. Fries were nestled under the three flaky crispy filets. The fries were soft kinda soggy but edible. I was able to eat this meal and enjoy for a couple of days . It's been a few days and I thought I'd give my opinion on Mary's Twisted Kitchen. When I walked in, their menu was on the wall and I was impressed by the amount of items they offered. From previously watching a video from Facebook by Dallas's own Sherrell, I opted out of being different and wanted her exact meal. When I approached the counter for my order, I noticed the staff in the back working hard with some nice old school jams playing in the kitchen. That's when I knew I was in for a good time. The woman who took my order was a sweet soul who reminded me of one of my favorite aunts. When I told her I wanted the same order from Facebook she laughed and asked if I was sure. I didn't think anything of it and told her yeah. Soon I'd find out exactly what was behind that familial-esque laughter. After she rung me up she came out into the lobby and turned on a movie. We continued to talk and I shared with her me being from the midwest and always looking for spots with good food. When I asked her for some promotional flyers, she told me to hold on and came out with a few of them. We laughed and joked about her choice of Bad Boys I, and she went back inside to help get my order ready. After a few minutes it was my turn. I grabbed my order and thanked her for her hospitality. When I tell you my eyes bulged as I opened my food at home?! First of all let me tell you about the salad. For those who are trying to eat a little healthier, the side salad is the way to go. Well, let me take another swing at it. The salad is a whole meal in and of itself. A full plate LOADED with tons of veggies and sliced meat, lightly seasoned. If you haven't had a seasoned salad, you're missing out. No dressing is needed at ALL for this salad. Next let's move onto the Seafood Pasta. I got mine with the Mardi Gras sauce. A healthy portion of pasta, loaded with crab and shrimp. Many places give you only like three to four shrimp and a teaspoon of other seafood. Not this place. The pasta was flavorful and very creamy. Definitely the most banging item on the menu. On to the Twisted Kool Aid and Cookie Pudding. The name Twisted Kool Aid initially made me think there was a some liquor mixed in it. That was my mistake. The drink is actually pretty tasty. Not too sweet with a smooth citrus finish. After sipping for a while, I thought some ice kept getting stuck in my straw. When I popping the lid, much to my surprise the bottom was filled with diced pineapple! Everybody around me knows that I love pineapple. I ended the meal off with the Cookie Pudding. For those who aren't plugged in, think banana pudding without the bananas. It was very tasty, and loaded with cookies! This place is a must try for everybody in and around the DFW Metroplex! I follow Mary's Kitchen on Facebook but have never been until yesterday (3-24-23) for the first time. I was not sure on what to get so the lady at the front desk (don't remember her name) helped me. Man when I say that 3 meat pasta was so good, I will definitely be back. The food didn't take long to receive and when I was grabbing my order she let me try some kool-aid, and told me that if I would want kool-aid every time I come back, this lady was not lying. It was gone before I got back home. I'm strongly thinking about making this the place I have lunch everyday. Keep doing what you're doing Mary's Kitchen, you'll have a customer in Shawn. I have tried most of everything on Mary's Kitchen menu and it all good. The establishment is always nice, friendly and always serving you with a great attitude. The place is busy, which is a good thing, however you never have to wait long and the food is always served "hot" and ready to just dig in. I also know that when you food is not correct Mary the owner is quick to re-do your order and if there is anything wrong she is on top of making it right. It's the little things that really bring out every dish to be the best it can be. every food sent out is warm, the service feels very relaxed, and they aren't stingy with the sauce. Some of my favorite dishes are the stuffed salmon with crab meat and diced shrimp; the salmon always melts in my mouth and the crab is to die for with the Madi gra sauce. Yelp didn't disappoint. Was in Dallas for the night and found Mary's Kitchen and glad I did. I got the Seafood Pasta with the Mardi Gras sauce. It was phenomenal! I highly recommend! read more
