My family and I ate here on Friday, August 30, 2019. I really appreciate their limited menu, but that's not to say that you can change things up! I ordered the Veggie Philly, but instead of the in I asked for the veggies and cheese to be served over a basket of the waffle fries. It wasn't a problem at all! The reason for the 4 star rating is due to the fact I didn't have jalapeños on mine and I think it's because my daughter ordered her Veggie Philly without jalapeños, maybe the cooks misunderstood and made both without jalapeños. I really like jalapeños, and I was missing that little kick of heat during my meal. However, the portion was spot on and I was full when I finished. I did really like that they have Pepsi products. I drink Pepsi over Coke any day! My bf ordered the regular Phat Phil's Cheesesteak 7" and my daughter ordered the Veggie Philly 7" but without the jalapeños. They shared a basket of fries and both had their own drinks as well. My daughter, being a teenager, basically inhaled hers while my bf and I were only about 2/3 of the way through. She said she'd want the larger 11" next time we ate here. She was still mildly hungry, but again, as a teenager, she has a bottomless pit for a stomach. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his and was stuffed once he was done eating. The service was quick and everyone was nice and polite. The food came out so quick and was piping hot and fresh! This could possibly be a really good place for lunch if you are in a hurry. We ate here around 6:15ish. They weren't terribly busy, but I did notice they were pushing that food out in an incredible speed. Color me impressed! I'd definitely eat here again! read more

For a hole in the wall place in Tulsa this place has FLAVOR!!! Small seating area inside, spacious enough for wheelchairs. Small tables that don't leave much room for elbows and food. We ordered the phat philly with a sub of Monterey Jack and provolone cheese instead of the whiz sauce and added extra mushrooms too the bread was so soft and the meat had such great flavor! If you're looking for a great late night food spot, look no further than Phat Philly's. Open until 4am, this local spot had a line out the door the entire time we were there (probably about an hour or so!) I was with a group, and we got Philly steaks, fries, chilli fries, and cheesy tots. The cheesy tots were a let-down, as the cheese had hardened and the tots were soggy and fell apart so it was hard to eat them in 1 piece. However, the cheesesteaks made up for that. Their fries were seasoned as well, a little too salty for my taste but they were good. The ranch dressing is amazing! They were absolutely packed at 2:30 on a Saturday (or Sunday I guess?) morning and cranking out orders like nobodies business, so I can say that the food was bomb considering how slammed they were. Tulsa doesn't have many late night spots besides McDonald's and whataburger, I'm so glad we have a local business that consistently has delicious food no matter what time a day you stop by! Ok... soo... I don't know why I don't live here.... the bread is freaking awesome and not hard or chewy which sets the perfect base for ANYTHING from Phat Philly's! So far my fav is the beef and chicken with bacon and you have to get the onions and peppers! Then there is the cheese.. it is a good group of it's own! And I have to say it is a touch call between the tater tots or wedge fries.. either way this is a great stop when you want an awesome Cheesesteak! Straight up.. I was coming concerned about taking my pregnant wife and two little kids here around 8pm. The neighborhood seems a little sketch but especially with all the gang stuff in the bathrooms but with that being said, I am glad I went. We all tried a philly and what's nice is they are really similar to what you would find in Philly especially using cheese wiz. They do give you options to customize like I added jalapeños and my wife added mushrooms. They had multiple potato options, which I always love. I did see first responders eating in which was nice to see. Overall, it was decently clean and the service was ok but the food was amazing. I'll be back next time I am in Tulsa. read more

We love going here for their late night Philly Cheesesteaks! They open until 4am (super late) on weekends, and one can see big crowds gathering here after midnight to grab a bite to eat after the bars close down. They also sell a variety of beer here too. I've been lucky enough to experience both types of Philly's in the city of brotherly love, with either the whiz or the melted cheese, and I've always preferred the cheese whiz with it's unique taste and plasticky (is that a word?) appeal. My friends from Philly almost come to blows when discussing what is 'real' and what is 'sh*t', and their passion belies a distinction I find ironic (like, who is the best team in the NFC east...but I digress). PPC's did a great job with the 'steak, and it was quite reminiscent of the ones I have received in The Big Scrapple, albeit a bit more expensive. The tots were a bit salty, and I'd recommend asking for it without seasoning in order to preserve what might be left of a reasonable blood pressure after consumption thereof. We yelped food for lunch in Tulsa as we were driving home for Christmas. And this place did not disappoint if you want a phat Philly! Good meat, cheesy goo all over with onions and bell peppers sandwiched in a soft bun. It was wrapped to keep it fresh and piping hot. My boy's I could see was still smoking on his last bite! Don't forget the waffle fries. Aside from the yummy sauce you could dip them in, you can use it to scrape off leftover goodness inside your wrapper (heheheeeee)! I think I died and went to Philly....or Buffalo! This place is the real deal! My wife and I came in after a show at the BOK Center. We ordered a cheesesteak, waffle fries and wings. I arrived in Tulsa and the first restaurant that was recommended to me was this one. I looked at many others in the area and this one called my name. The website menu price was different than door dash by three dollars per item. They explained and I understood. I received my food within twenty minutes and it started off great until I got to my second bite and a bug came out of the wrapping.l!! I was so turned off and decided to call the restaurant and speak to the manager "T". "T" immediately discounted that his establishment was responsible for it and that there is no way the bug was there. Either way, he was not responsible for correcting a wrong for a customer (me) and suggested that I contact door dash in order to get a refund or replacement bc it was most likely the driver most likely had a dirty car with a bugs in it. I did so and the support team of door dash did not agree but replaced my meal for me. The second phatter philly did not have the same consistency. No whiz. I was starving so I ate anyway. The tots are another sore spot that I would not suggest as they were so crisped that the potato inside was gone. It was basically a shell of over crisped potato and excess grease. We haven't eaten at Phat Phillies since 2020 due to the Covid. They make great cheesesteak sandwiches. This was our first time using DoorDash for our order, they did great & was fast. We ordered two 7" cheesesteak sandwiches. We decided that cheesesteak sandwiches don't transport well as the buns were soggy. Also, I don't usually salt my food when eating it, but surprisingly the beef used in the sandwich had zero salt, which made the beef bland. I use to really like this place, but for the second time they have messed up my order, we had $7-8 worth of add on's on the sandwiches that we didn't get, and they forgot to put one of the sandwiches in the bag for the doordash driver, when I called the restaurant about it, I was told that's the drivers fault for not checking, that's absolutely incorrect, these bags are either stapled or taped shut, it's not their job to tear open my bag and count everything. Update: I know I have to go back through doordash for a refund, the crappy part is your guy telling me it's DD drivers fault for not going through the bags, good integrity there... The young lady that "greeted" us with a stern face/frown seemed annoyed that we didn't immediately know what we wanted even though there was no one in line behind us and I even shared that we'd never been there. I thought maybe she was having a rough day (not excusing her nasty attitude but attempting to be understanding), however when other patrons entered she eagerly greeted them. I am unsure of how we differed from these patrons other than race and I don't want to imply this as her reason for differentiating her service but it was very noticeable that they were greeted with smiles and "Hey there, how are you?" and we were greeted with a scowl and bad attitude.
