I was visiting family and stopped by to pick up lunch for the family. Front guy at register was nice & welcoming. I noticed a man & woman standing behind the sandwich packing area chatting away. This place has left me dissatisfied, the service here also is questionable. So I called in for an order and was offered a combo which the person on the other end offered to me stating it came with waffle fries and a drink but failed to mention which fountain drinks they had available or at least ask if I'd like to know which fountain drinks were available. Also the price of the food jumped an extra 5 bucks and the only thing on the Philly cheesesteak was a small amount of weird tasting liquid cheese and super dry steak. In all I would not recommend this place which is named "phat Phillys cheesesteak" which is misleading because the cheesesteak is not up to par and doesn't come with any toppings, definitely will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We came to Phat Philly's the first night we arrived in Tulsa. We had been on the road for a while so we were ready for a great sandwich for a quick dinner and Phat Philly's delivered. We all got basically the same sandwich, a 7" Phat Philly with onions, mushrooms and cheese. The sandwiches came out piping hot and we prepared our selves with plenty of napkins before we dug in. The meat was thin sliced and perfectly cooked. The bread was just the right delivery tool for the meat and the cheese was hot and covering the meat. It looked like a bit of a mess when we opened up the wrapper, but oh boy was it good. We got the waffle fries with our meal and they were seasoned very well. Great parking. Fast, friendly service. Delicious food. We had a steak salad which was really fresh but nothing great. The steak doesn't go so wonderful with salad in my opinion but I appreciate they offer it. The waffle fries were crispy, well seasoned and delicious! I really liked the cheesesteak. The roll was soft, the meat was thin and the cheese and vegetables were well mixed into the meat. Had the occasion to schlep into Tulsa and have lunch with my smokin' hot missus, aka The Wife. At her suggestion, we made the highly adventurous and somewhat perilous trip across the Busted Arrow Flyway downtown to Phat Philly's. We arrived just about 12:15 to a packed parking lot. Only my superior parking skills (and a lot of help from the Good Lord) allowed me to navigate into the only empty spot. We entered into a packed restaurant as well. Having anticipated this destination (who knew?) The Wife quickly placed her order for a 7" beef philly and fries, and I dittoed with an 11" sans fries. We found a table, as it turned out, directly under a speaker. Now you know how much I love a noisy dining experience.... but all in all, it was good. Not too loud, and I'm certainly not going to blame someone else for my poor choice. Food arrived pretty quickly, it seemed. I heard my name yelled out, turned around, and saw a petite little locomotive weaving her way through the crowd with sandwiches and a boat full of waffle fries. Sandwiches were good. Really good. We do phillies at home a lot, and we typically use provolone or baby swiss, so the real-deal Cheez Whiz was different. Not only was the flavor profile distinctly different, but that stuff is like golden lava when it's hot. Which loops me back to the sandwiches. Piping hot, flavorful meat, and peppers and onions nicely diced to the proper size for efficient and semi-neat eating. I say semi-neat, because unless you knife and fork it, you're gettin it on ya. Just accept it and roll with it. It's worth it. I didn't see the buffalo wings on the menu when we ordered, so I picked up an order to go for a round two at home. They were good. Really good. I prefer mine breaded, but that's me, and not a reflection on them. Good flavor, nicely tender and not at all dry. Philly's is on a par with any great philly steak sandwich place in town, that's for sure. As good as the best and better than most. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more

Didn't get a chance to take a pic of my food because I was too busy scarfing it down. I had the chicken philly and really found it to be tasty. The bell peppers, onions & cheese all seemed to melt into one. I wish I would have tried the original philly cheesesteak, but that'll be for next time. This place was packed & that's always a good sign. Also, seeing it's open til 4am. The Philly Cheesesteaks from Phat Philly's are the best and most Philadelphia authentic in Tulsa. The meat is well seasoned, and onions a peppers are cooked to perfection. The thing that makes it authentic is the Cheeze Wiz. I see some people complaining about it, but that's what a real Philly sandwich has. Their tater tots are good, but their waffle fries are the better choice. Grab some ketchup and some ranch and you're in business. Here's a tip: (This is a life changing tip. Seriously.) The girls who work the register will always answer your questions and provide suggestions if you don't know what to order (My advice: keep it simple and order the 7" Phat Cheesesteak). I was a fan of the old Phat Philly's, despite the fact that you may have had to wait a long time for your sandwich, regardless of how busy it was. The new location is clean and spacious. They have beer now at a small bar area, but come about 1:55a.m. they start threatening to take drinks away. Sandwiches are big and messy, but most importantly delicious. They come with onions and peppers and cheez. Extras like mushrooms, real cheese, etc cost a bit more. A regular combo (sandwich, drink and fries), will set you back around $10. For late night food I'd choose phat phillys over whataburger. Open until 4am on Friday/Saturdays, but wish they had those hours on Thursday as well. read more

This is hands down one of my favorite Philly cheesesteak joints I've been to! Now I've never been to Philly to try their cheese steaks but I can't wait to try an authentic one after dining here! Whenever I see Philly cheesesteaks on TV they always use cheez whiz so I was excited to see that that's what they use here. Most Philly cheese steaks that I've come across in restaurants use some sort of sliced cheese like American or provolone which I'm not a fan of. This place is open late too so it's a great place to stop by for drunk food! Cheesy, amazing and so good every time. Phat Phillies always hits the spot for a great philly. These bad boys are messy and greasy but that's the point. With their special sauce condiments and ample cheese I never leave disappointed. A favorite is to mix it up and get white queso and jalapeños on a chicken philly. Pretty good if you are a fan of spicy. They also have great tater tots as well. They have a bar with a few beers on draft. It's a cool place to hang out and watch some sports while you chow down. This place is best as a recovery food! Many times my hangover has been soothed by a greasy philly and tots. I'd give this place a 5 on their waffle fries and phat sauce and ranch! I could've just enjoyed those and been super happy! My cheesesteak came out swimming in cheese whiz without much meat. As in 2 bits of meat on one half and about 5 on the other. I asked if this was their norm and the server offered to make me a new one even though I was a 'weirdo' who asked for lettuce and mayo. Being from philly, I like a cheesesteak hoAgie oven grinder so adding cheese and mayo would be the norm. The meat tasted more of pot roast than the 'steak ' like I am used to in Philly.
