This place was terrible. We ordered two açaí bowls and both smelled foul like old refrigerator and the toppings we had added were all noticeably old. The granola was stale and chewy. The blueberries were syrupy and gooey. The only thing that was fresh in our bowl was the banana and strawberries. Aside from that the açaí smoothie was full of large chunks of ice. I love yelp because it leads me to the hot spots! Went in here after a workout and tried a wrap. I went basic with a Caesar and just added some avocado. I wanted the spinach wrapping but she understood that I wanted spinach inside... it was all good though, it was still very yummy! I love spinach! It's near the gym I go to so that's a plus. Small yet convenient spot to go to! I was in a rush so it was in and out but staff seemed nice, there's enough parking and wrap was very delicious! Seven with some change and a decent size. I noticed the reviews and thought to give it a try. We ordered a bowl and a wrap. We chose what to put in each. I ordered a bowl with brown rice, beans, spinach, chicken, avocado etc...I tried the lemon vinaigrette and it was delicious! My wife ordered a wrap. The tortilla was thin...not a typical thick gummy tortilla. She filled hers with chicken, avocado, brown rice, black beans and spinach. Both items were great! When we went to pick it up, I probably would have passed right by it due to its location. The little strip mall it was in did not have any curb appeal but when I pulled up the place was packed. Likes- Location. This is very close to my house and having grown up in the area when it wouldn't have sustained a smoothie place, it's nice to see. They had friendly staff that fit the hipster vibe they've got going on here. I ordered a veggie wrap thing but I super liked that they had a bunch of options for fillings for their wraps and I would've built my own had I been a little more savvy. Dislikes- the flavors on the protein. I don't know, I just want like a hemp protein or a pea protein or something not fake fruit flavored. I can deal with a little graininess, but this may be very much a matter of personal taste. Also, the music. It was SO loud. I'm getting a smoothie, not entering a nightclub. I know, I know, 22 year olds enjoy the volumes that create hearing loss because old age hasn't entered their minds yet, but personally I enjoy hearing people when they talk to me now, and I think I'll enjoy it when I'm 77. I am extremely happy that they got a brand new location that is just five minutes away from my house. They used to only have the Kendall location which was very deep in Kendall and it would take us about 30 minutes to get there. Thankfully now it's right down the street! This place is great! They're super healthy, and very fresh. I probably go here once a week now since there opening. The food isn't expensive and it's made fresh right in front of you. The portions aren't small so you do have a full belly when you leave. You also have the option to take it home, which is great. The small bowl is about 7.99, and the big bowl is 9.99. You can choose up to about five toppings before they start charging you for extras. They have a set menu for the wraps, but you have the option to create your own. Smoothies all come in 24 oz sizes and are 5.99 or 6.99 (I don't remember). But when you buy a bowl or wrap, for just five dollars more you can get a 24oz smoothie of your choice and either a small bag of sun chips or a banana. The only little complaint I have is that steak and avocado based ingredients are a little too much extra. After a gym session this place is one of my favorites to stop by. The wraps are as fresh and as tasty as could be. They make them extra big so it's totally worth the $7 bucks. To compliment a wrap you can make it a combo for a total of about $13 with a protein smoothie that are all delicious. It's located with a mile of the LA Fitness and the 24 Hour Fitness, conveniently. The smoothies are amazing I am in love with the Popeye and the wraps and salad bowls are also great. I recommend the chicken followed by the steak not so much a fan of the turkey. Woke up this morning in good spirits. To head over to the smoothie spot. Door was open approximately 8:45-8:50. so I walk in to order a smoothie. They young lady Gaby stayed that they were closed. So, I ask a question. Can I just pay so when 9 come It will be ready? She had such an attitude. She was like you can pay this time but next time no. It's NOT my fault the door was open. As if they were ready for business. So, I was like thank you. She didn't reply back. "Thank you"... so...I was still like I can leave a good review. She replied "well that's if you want too". With a IDK attitude. I was taking back. Because since smoothie spot was open. I don't think I never experienced this kind of rudeness. So anywho after paid. She place my change and recipes right on the counter "smh" She was like... " you have to wait outside" which was understandable. And then she lock the door. But, why so much attitude. I walk in around 9:03 and she just had my smoothie right on the counter. I check my smoothie it was watery. So, I had to ask the other young lady to make it thicker Which she did. At this point I'm thinking I will not be leaving a good review for just taking my payment a few mins early. I'm going to write a review about How I was badly treated.
