Here's my experience: Moses was supposed to be the driver to pick up my vehicle. This company was assigned through AAA. They kept giving me later times of pick up, only reason I even got updates was because I kept contacting AAA directly because Phelan never bothered giving me updates. Finally after 3 hours of waiting AAA told me that the Moses showed up and that no one was by the vehicle. That was a bold face lie because I've been waiting with my disabled mother by the car. Moses also told AAA that he tried calling me and that was another bold face lie because he never called my phone, I have been staring at my phone this whole time waiting for an update. The towing technicians that helped me today were fast, nice, and excellent. I called AAA to tow an inoperable vehicle to my mechanic. They gave me a window from 10am-11am and they showed up at 9am which is a plus for me. They quickly picked up my non-operating vehicle on a small street. The vehicle had flat tires and a broken window. They were able to tow it with no problems. They were very nice and quick. They were in an out in less than 10 minutes. Today had a bad blow out on the 15 north before Bear Valley Road. AAA sent Phelan Towing and Jay was superior! Great customer service, polite & professional! He changed our tire on the side of the very busy freeway and we thought it was good He started to leave, we pulled on the freeway and right back off. We flashed our lights to tell him we needed help. He called us, checked back around from the freeway exit. Turns out the spare had failed & we were stuck! He said he was watching and realized that there was a problem. AAA uses these guys sometimes. Needed a tow. AAA dispatch PHELAN TOWING. Big surprise they were a NO SHOW. Called AAA wondering where my tow was. PHELAN TOWING told AAA that they completed the tow and the service request was closed. Had to start process all over again. If you're in phelan living in the boonies, there aren't many tow options. I tried calling Hesperia but they said i lived too far in Pinon Hills (2 miles from main phelan rd). Phelan tow came quickly but isnt cheap. Keep that in mind but those calling are doing so because they have no other option. After calling, tow arrived in under 30 mins. My car accidentally rolled down my own driveway but got caught on a rock. Just hooking car off rock and moving it 6 feet cost me $125. Unsure if that's the normal rate but seemed kinda pricey but living here we dont have many options. Otherwise, great service. 1 star off for expensive price. Thanks for the tow! read more

Honestly, this company needs to be sued... I avoided placing any reviews about this company, especially after they previously kept my family waiting all day for service, only for the driver to blame it on AAA, and asked if I would give the company five stars, please... Well, today we await service from them again. When I called AAA, they advised that the company claimed they answered the call. After the dispute, they requested a new call. I sit here, again, for hours... I will be taking time to contact the BBB and filing a complaint with them. I will also consult with an attorney to see if I can get some retributions for the anguish their service has caused my family and for the false claimed service. Terrible experience!!!! Called AAA for roadside assistance, and these cretins were dispatched. They never called or texted. Their eta came and went with no one arriving. About an hour after the eta, I recalled AAA. This was a robot answering, but I later learned that they sent the same company. Again no call or text to confirm, and no one arrived by the eta. I subsequently cancelled with AAA. About an hour later, four hours after my original call, Jose showed up. He told me the owner knows the company is screwing up, but doesn't do anything to fix it. Needed a tow home from Phelan. AAA sent our request to these jerks. Original eta 8:30pm, then at 8:30pm they changed it to 9:30pm. Then at 9:50pm they cancelled with the excuse that the roads were too bad. This is a total lie, there was no issue with the roads and I don't know why they would make us wait over two hours just to cancel!!! read more

If I could give one star I would. Waited almost 2 hours in 103 degree weather and they sent a truck with broken hydraulics. Had to wait another hour for a good truck. First driver was rude and the second complained about being overworked and underpaid. AAA needs to drop them! read more

If I could give zero stars I would!! I called dispatch about getting a tow was told it would be $125. The driver was fast and friendly. She was great. At the end she asked if we were paying $125 in cash I said it'd be card she asked if a processing fee was okay. She took pics of the card to send her boss, because she can't process card payments, and two days later I was changed $225!! $100 dollar more. I'd understand a few dollars, but a $100 for a process fee. Beware!!! read more

This is the second time that phelan tow has denied a tow from triple A. I have waited for over an hour with no response and no communication from phelan tow to triple A. This place lacks customer service skills completely. The last time they had me on the side of the road with my children for over 3 hours again with no communication with triple A. Denying a tow is fine, it happens, however not communicating that and leaving people on the side of the road for hours waiting is not. HORRIBLE!!!!!!! read more

AAA dispatched them a little before 5 and got an insist text that they would arrive about an hour later. After that hour a driver called to inform me a driver would be there about 20 minutes. Come 630 nothing or nobody. Tired call towing company themselves no answer. At 730 spoke to AAA again they say driver is 15 minutes out. 830 still nobody finally reach someone at towing company a little after 9pm and driver tells me he is right around the corner and he would call me back. 930 no call back and no tow truck. Even though no one wants to need a tow, both times Phelan towing showed up for the job and made the experience quick and painless. this company deserves zero stars for how unprofessional their staff are. the staff will refuse to tow your car after damaging it and then proceed to tell you your car isn't nice enough that the damage is fine. then call the tow companies near by and tell them not to tow your car after refusing to tow you and damaging your car. it is crazy they are still allowed to have a contract with triple a when they are so unprofessional. My first encounter with Phelan Towing was because I have AAA Roadside Assistance and that's who was called, I don't believe that I would have had a better experience if I just called randomly. I again needed an at home service call for a flat tire at my home in Phelan. We are notorious for nails in tires with our dirt roads. Phelan Towing was assigned by AAA Roadside Assistance, again a very POSITIVE experience. It was getting dark and the key to unlock the spare could not be found, Moses (the son) suggested that he come back in the morning, first thing, to determine the steps to be taken to get the spare off or since there was an obvious nail in the tire he would fill the tire and follow me to our local tire shop. I found the key that night and had the spare unlocked and ready to go when Moses returned the next morning. I truly felt secure and safe in that the flat tire was going to be fixed and that Moses only had my safety concerns in mind, I am a Senior Citizen woman just learning how to handle car repairs. Moses switched the spare with the flat tire, put the flat in my Jeep and offered to still follow me. I did not feel I needed to further take his time as the spare tire was secure. I felt as if I was the MOST IMPORTANT client he had, the job was completed in a very minimal time frame, he was professional, patient and friendly. Whether you have Roadside Assistance or not I cannot say enough good things good things about Phelan Towing. They will continue to be my "go to" if the need arises. read more
