Well this summer I told then I was ready to move forward on the repair. They didn't want to use their quote from last fall which is fine but they ignored several emails and it took them months to even come out for an updated quote. Well now I have questions about the updated quote would like to make a change to it and these guys have been MIA again. I'm sure sweeping my chimney is low margin but when the opportunity comes up to for real work they don't seem to want it. Also, this year after my sweeping I now have birds in my wood stove. I hired Northeastern Chimney to repair my chimney. The crown was the key element of the repair…read more Seven years and 5 months later, I found water was coming into my fireplace. Long story short, the crown was poorly built and had separated from the brick structure. This created a gap that allowed water to infiltrate the chimney. A well-built crown should last 15 to 25 years or more. Northeastern refused to acknowledge that their crown failed to meet industry standards and refused to refund the $1,100 I paid. They are unprofessional and untrustworthy.

We travel a fair amount and scheduling service was a challenge because of our unavailability. On both occasions Czar Energy Solutions followed up to make sue we had the service we needed. The owner even spent 30 minutes on the phone with me to troubleshoot the problem so that I might be able to avoid a service call fee and to make sure the service person had the correct replacement parts when he arrived. While it was a weekend, anyone living in an area serviced by a well knows, how irritatingly inconvenient it is to be without water for more than 15 minutes. I had a similar experience this summer when we woke to no water and I called the local company I have used in the past. He failed to answer within a few hours, so I googled well service in Glastonbury and made calls to two other local companies. Within 10 minutes, Mr Ripley the owner of Northeast Well called back and said he could come out within an hour. "Believe it or not", he arrived within the promised time and thankfully diagnosed the issue as a simple blown switch which was replaced in record time. While here, he mentioned I should think about having the well cap replaced since it was loose and not secured allowing stuff to enter the pipe. He quoted me what sounded like a reasonable price and since he came so promptly even though we were not a longtime customer, I decided to give him the okay to do the work then if he had time. In no time at all, I had a shiny, secure new blue well cap! Mr Ripley, "Charlie" owns this Glastonbury business and has operated it for 30 years. Being a homeowner here for 25 years, I was surprised to learn this since there seems to be two other companies in town that everyone uses and I had never heard of it. I am happy to recommend this company and I will call Northeast Well Pump first if I ever have a well issue because of the way he handled my summer well issue and his prompt response to my friend this weekend. YES..he came within an hour for a weekend call.
