I wanted a doctor who didn't act like I was a part moving down an assembly line and I found that with Dr. Serdahl and his staff. Dr. Serdahl put me at ease immediately. He was the only one of 3 eye surgeons I have seen who explained that I had Fuch's Dystrophy and why it could cause complications. Surgery was pain and anxiety free. Two weeks later, I was ready to schedule surgery on my other eye. It takes a lot for a doctor to impress me. Dr. Serdahl does. You can trust him with your vision.

What should have been a simple appointment turned into a mess because of the front office…read more The appointment email made it look like my appointment was at 1:15 and said to arrive 15 minutes early, so I arrived at 1:00. I checked in and was told to sit down. After waiting with no updates for nearly an hour, I went up to the desk around 1:50 to ask what was going on. That's when I was told my appointment was "actually" at 1:30 and that the email somehow accounts for the 15 minute buffer. That explanation made zero sense. I was then told I'd be next, but multiple patients for the same doctor were called back ahead of me. At 2:10, a staff member came out and loudly accused me of not completing my paperwork. When I started filling it out, I noticed the back page already had my signature and date. I pointed this out and was told I didn't fill out the section on health issues or surgeries. I don't have any. Somehow this turned into my problem. It felt very much like they were trying to shift blame onto me to cover up how far behind they were, and the attitude was rude and unnecessary. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is the doctor, who was excellent. Unfortunately, the front desk chaos, poor communication, and lack of professionalism completely overshadowed the visit. The front office seriously needs to get it together.

What I like about this office is that the optometrist listened to my concerns regarding my old contact lenses and was able to provide me with a better brand. I opted to purchase a pair of glasses from this office and it took about two weeks for them to be ready. If you think you will need to make adjustments to your glasses, you must schedule a time to meet with an optician. This is the first time I have come across an optometry office requiring you to schedule a time to make adjustments to your glasses. I had a family member pick up my glasses so I wasn't able to see my glasses until later in the day. I noticed the lenses were a lot thicker than I was used to. My prescription is pretty high so I opted for the high index eyeglass lenses. High index lenses cost a lot more than normal lenses. The glasses I received definitely weren't high index and the way the lenses were shaved down didn't look right at all. I had quite a bit of a back and forth exchange with the office about these lenses not being correct. The office was telling me that these are high index lenses and the lab recommended I get a roll and polish for an extra charge. I have never gotten a roll and polish for any of my glasses. I really had to voice my concerns before the manager jumped in and agreed to send the glasses back to the lab for new high index lenses. It's a bit inconvenient that I had to request time off work to drop off the glasses and then schedule a time with the optician to try on the new glasses. Also, it took about another 2 weeks to get the correct glasses. However, i'm glad the office made things right by finally listening to my concern. The lenses to my new glasses are exactly what I was expecting. Overall, this office isn't the worst place. It's about average. At the end of the day, the office will try to fix the mistake. The optometrist I had listened to my concerns which is a plus as most optometrist just shrug your concerns off.

In the past few years my distance vision has declined a lot so getting the annual exams followed by a new pair of glasses or lenses with my updated prescription is key to seeing my best. That process is helped immensely by the optometry store adjacent to the exam area. Just a quick trip across the hall and there's a huge selection of high end designer frames to more budget friendly options. This year I treated myself to a new set of frames and brought in an old pair of rx sunglasses for lens replacement. Bianca was my amazing optometrist this time. Both frames were ready within two weeks and it was great to be seeing crisp and clear again. This is not a corporate outpost but really has a personal touch and they take care to ensure you are highly satisfied with your eye care and careful selection and delivery of the new glasses. Bianca made sure to go over my options, and I love both my new glasses. The polarized sunglasses she recommended are a game changer for those blindingly sunny days.

I saw Dr. Kim Kwang an opthalmologist who was very rude and dismissive. He relied on Epic for my…read morehistory and when I explained to him that Epic was wrong on several counts he said that I was a poor historian. He was not willing to see me again and said I should go back to my old eye doctor who apparently had my correct history. He did prescribe the eye drop that I needed for my glaucoma but when I went back for a refill today, the pharmacy said that the doctor cancelled all the refills. Fortunately I have another eye appointment with a new doctor in a month and can get a refill for the eye drop at urgent care. This is a very egocentric doctor but he will continue to have a full practice and make lots of money. Personality or how patients are treated makes no difference in this time of scarce medical care.
