It's been a while since our last visit to Phila Burger Station, and we were happy to see the same owner still there and as friendly as ever. We remembered how good the hoagies were, and they did not disappoint. This time we ordered the Teriyaki Beef Hoagies, which were delicious and packed with flavor. The fries were cut nice and thick, with the salt served on the side so you can season them to your liking. Standard order comes with Miracle Whip, I was too chicken to try it and went with regular mayonnaise instead. I'm willing to come back and give Miracle Whip a try, but if I comeback, I'm definitely getting a double burger or trying a Phila Burger. 4.1/5 Garlic fries were ok. Order came with a dollop of minced garlic, would have preferred if it had been tossed for a more even coating. 3.3/5 The absolute highlight of this visit was the service. Being my first visit, the cashier was incredibly patient and took extra time to go through the menu with me and giving recommendations. But this was not an isolated incident. In the short 10 minutes I was there, I watched as this cashier welcome back a old regular, give a child a small to-go cup of ice cream, and patiently work with a customer as they were experiencing technical payment difficulties. I haven't eaten here in years. Was really excited to go back there when I was in the area. First thing I noticed was that they're serving you at a plexiglass window now. The pickles complement the pastrami so well.
