Went in for a cleaning. They suggested X-rays. The X-rays were not covered by my insurance because I had them done a few months earlier with the oral surgeon they had recommended. I was refused a refund for the X-rays. I told the office that I wouldn't be coming back. And then I was offered a refund that would be held and applied to my next visit. They were basically holding my refund hostage in exchange for keeping me as a patient. I again said that I wouldn't be coming back and they kept my refund. Bottom line. They don't care about you as a person or patient. They want to keep you coming back so they can continue to bill you. Even when what they do isn't covered by your insurance. read more

After 10 months one the crowns (My Front Tooth) snapped completely off The other front tooth was as now getting loose also. SHADY, SLIMY, DECEPTIVE BUSINESS. I hope to God someone sees this review and does not go to this practice because of it. This business practices with zero regards to ethics, engages in borderline predatory lending, is not clear with details, does not provide good dental service, and cannot be trusted. Please sort by one star reviews before you go and get swindled like myself and the rest of us. I am 26 and brand new to the world of navigating insurance, I made that very clear before I went to this practice. I even reached out and, like other reviewers, was told "we work with most insurances." Being someone trusting of doctors, I assumed this meant that they truly took my insurance. NO- it's all a strategic semantic to get you to come in where they will continue to act like they work with your insurance. During my "free consultation" they did X-Rays which my insurance didn't cover and then told me I had 12 cavities and needed a crown. Admittedly, I had not been to the dentist in some time (and they knew that) so I trusted what they said (again). Next, they ushered me back to this tiny room where I was told "oh you have a PPO plan the way it works is we bill you up front and then your insurance reimburses you $1500" (my maximum for the year.) Having not even received a bill at this point with estimated costs, I was confused and even paused to ask whatever questions I could think of. I was only told the cost of the work would exceed my maximum, so they opened a line of credit for me. It wasn't until a few weeks later (and my first payment coming due) that I realized they ALREADY paid themselves by charging me the total cost of the work. Having now gotten the work done, I have more tooth sensitivity than I ever had and never received the $1500 reimbursement check from my insurance and I never will because that's not how it works either. To date, my insurance reimbursed me for $75. My insurance would have covered more on a per-treatment basis than what this office swindled me out of AND they jack up the prices on every single thing that they do. It is disheartening to think that a dental office could be so deceptive, so I requested they provide me with a rebate only for the difference of what my insurance company would have covered and the answer was a flat out no, but I could come back for a "free appointment" where they will inevitably tell me I need more work done to fix their shitty work in the first place. They have NO interest in truly accommodating clients, their only goal is to swindle as many people out of as much money as possible. As I told the office, if they had only shared with me "WE ARE AN OUT OF NETWORK PROVIDER" instead of their BS "We work with most insurance" I NEVER would have stepped foot into this practice. read more

Best dental office ever!! Trust me, I hate going to the dentist as much as anyone but I would rather come here to have a visit than anywhere else. ALL of the staff are SO incredibly kind, helpful, and supportive. I had a lot of questions and concerns and every single one of the employees made me feel heard. I was able to schedule a first visit super quickly, and after my initial visit I was able to schedule a follow up appointment for the next day to fix issues found during my cleaning. During my follow up visit I had a filling and a bonding on my tooth fixed. This was my first ever filling and I was freaking out but all of the staff made me feel SO comfortable. The bonding that was fixed on my tooth looks AMAZING and completely changed my opinion of my smile. I'll be honest, I was worried after having read some reviews and hearing that previous reviews had either been removed or filtered. A little bit about what I had done: I had an incredibly discolored crown that I had gotten when I was much younger. The tooth was incredibly decayed underneath the previous cap. My dentist gave me an incredible amount of detail on the procedure before going ahead with any options and was honest about me possibly needing an implant. Luckily this was not the case, a simple crown was the solution. Simple, but pricey as I have no dental insurance and paid everything out of pocket. I felt as though I was given honest information about the cost before I made any decisions with going through with the process. I don't feel like I was tricked into anything and was offered options in terms of payment. I was fortunate enough to be able to pay everything up front. I will say however, that they do make you feel as though you need all these extra things done so be cautious and ask a lot of questions! Otherwise you'll run your bill up in a blink of an eye. I had gone in for the initial removal and temporary crown a few days after my first appointment. The process took a couple of hours and was not painful. I really loved both of my dental techs(?). (Sorry I can't remember title or names! But you guys were awesome! Probably the best part of my whole experience!!). They took a decent time picking out the color of my crown and showed me a bunch of times before making the decision. My crown was ready in about two weeks time and the application was probably the fastest part of the whole procedure. The only reason why this isn't a four star review is that almost every time I was in the office I didn't feel like the front end people were very friendly. They seem almost robotic. I would rather travel to NYC in order to see my prior dentist's office where patients are spoken to with respect. I always found it strange that your office has patients be pulled into a separate room with the door closed with Stephen to handle billing which is usually a front desk responsibility but now I understand. This setup is in place so that Stephen can disrespect patients in private and others visiting the office will not observe his unacceptable behavior. When speaking with me regarding my mom calling first thing in the morning to pay over the phone I was told by STEPHEN, "I'm trying to work with you" and "have her call at 8am because I am trying to get this over with" which was not only disrespectful but completely unacceptable and unprofessional. My family and I will no longer be supporting this office. If you would like to keep patients I would suggest proper bedside manners. I am not going to the bank, I am going to the Dr office, if your financial executive cant treat patients as people you don't deserve their money and most certainly will not gain their trust. I will never make patients feel the way this office made me feel and I will not tolerate such treatment in a healthcare setting. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.  Hygienists do not even clean under the gumline of every tooth only your back teeth, barely scrape plaque buildup off, gentle to the point of not properly cleaning your teeth. -They told me they accepted my insurance, that I would just have to pay out of pocket and then my insurance would refund me. That ended up not being true so I had to pay out of pocket for the cleaning. -They told me I had two cavities and needed a crown which would have cost thousands of dollars. When I went to a second dentist that accepted my insurance, they told me my teeth were fine. -When I asked for a form that I needed filled out for work (I'm in the military so you have to show them proof that your teeth are ok) they never sent me the form back. When I asked them if they had it they informed me that they had lost it. Find you a dentist and dental practice who believes in science, y'all. It might come in handy during a pandemic where your exposed mouth and nose are right under the mouths and noses of people who are talking and breathing right over you and who refuse to use N95 masks. Heads up -- THE OFFICE DOES NOT REQUIRE STAFF TO BE VACCINATED, and if you ask to be scheduled with vaccinated providers, they will refuse your request. I've gone to Dr. Cirka for 7 years, and was previously pretty happy with the practice. Unfortunately, their response to COVID concerns is seriously lacking, and I cannot continue to patronize a dental practice that does not seem to believe in and/or respect science. I don't think it's insane to ask that only vaccinated folks work on me since they're literally going to be standing over my open orifices while breathing over my face for 20-40 minutes, but apparently they will not accommodate any such requests. I will not go to a dental practice where people are going to be breathing over my open orifices and where I have to play a guessing game as to whether or not the breather is vaccinated. They will also tell you that they cannot ask employees about their vaccination status. Check the EEOC guidance on that issue -- this is NOT true. Employers absolutely can inquire as to an employee's vaccination status though they cannot inquire as to WHY an employee is unvaccinated. I have only been a patient here for about 6 months and so far the entire staff has always been extremely kind and helpful. I was a new patient after not having been to a dentist in about 3 years and I knew I needed a lot of work, so I was very anxious. It is not easy trusting a new dental team when you know they need to do a large amount of serious work. Every single person who I dealt with there, from the first woman on the phone taking my reservation to the dentists (and everyone in between) treated me like I was a first class rockstar all the way. They always gave me their undivided attention and made sure all my questions were answered about every procedure before they began. They are also very quick to return phone calls and texts so I never felt like I was left hanging with a question or problem. I couldn't be happier with my decision to choose Dr Cirka and his team as my new dental care team. (And just fyi, I had to find a new dentist because of a location issue, not because there was anything wrong with my previous wonderful dentist.) The care I received here was great. The office staff are all very nice and I promise they will not let you forget about an upcoming appt! I received approx 2 texts, 2 emails, and a phone call before every appt. The issue that most everyone who is money conscious has with this place is they are not 'in network' with any insurance. I went in the first time on a promo they were running so it was free. Second cleaning was just a standard cleaning, ended up costing about $20 over my insurance reimbursement. Third visit they did X-rays and a cleaning. The charge was $85 over my insurance reimbursement. They also ask you to pay the full amount at your visit, then they will submit the proper paperwork to your insurance company and the ins co will send a check for the Amt they cover directly to you. So on my third visit, I paid $337 and then my insurance co sent me a check for $250 within a week or two. So as I said, great practice especially if you're not concerned about staying 'in network.' read more

Once more - the very best. On Thursday afternoon, I was chewing on hard Beef Jerky and I heard a little cracking sound in my mouth. One of my molar sides had broken between the filling done in an old cavity. No pain but the sharp edges were shredding my tongue to pieces. As soon as I could, I called Dr. Cirka's office and they told me they could see me right away or on Monday, but since Dr. Cirka wasn't available, it would be with Dr. Meier. My odontophobia cold sweats returned as only Dr. Cirka and the hygienist Jen have been inside my mouth since 2002, but the receptionist assured me I'd be taken care of as well. I made an appointment for Monday and arrived with some trepidation. Yes, I have seen military action but the mere mention of a dentist makes me sweat. Once again, the receptionists are part of the process, making the patient feel at home and relaxed. Hard to find a more genuinely congenial and competent set. My anxiety started to melt. I had my mind set on close to a thousand dollars of repair involving several visits, a crown, and the whole enchilada. Keila, the Dental Assistant, was more than pleasant as well as competent. She took a look at my situation, left for a few minutes, and both her and Dr. Meier came back to tell me they could get me out of there all fixed in less than an hour at a fraction of what I had thought of. And moreover, it would be done right then and there instead of several visits. One of the administrative assistants came over to brief me on the insurance coverage and get my authorization. The entire process involved the removal of the filling and the manufacture of an amalgam-free restoration of my molar. Dr. Meier administered the anesthetic and took the old filling out in less than ten minutes. Keila was absolutely superb in getting the molar restored with new mercury-free composite. She even ran into some difficulty as the adjacent molar had an Air Force-made amalgam filling that was built too close to the molar in question and had to grind that one a bit to allow for the new restoration. The final result was an expertly done color-matched molar restoration that looks as if the molar had never been worked on. Even then, I had a follow on telephone call from the office to make sure everything had gone smoothly. Once again - and again. I can't recommend these folks any higher. Tops. read more

Dr. Ridge is so incredibly friendly, compassionate, and has the most incredible rapport-building skills.
