I came in to get a consult on a chipped tooth and the front staff was great, however the vibe was weird. I saw an interaction where one of the doctors legitimately ignored their own staff member. I didn't think too much of it, because I don't know the culture there. So I did some asking around since I know some folks that have worked there in the past. Apparently turnover is incredibly high, as at least 5 people have resigned in the past 6 months. There isn't much communication as an entire team, which is obviously a problem with such a small office. Doctors are passive-aggressive to the employees they don't like. They use ableist language and get weirdly upset when people take sick days. Also, there have been microaggressions against Black and Brown staff members. I know 3 people who have worked under these doctors, and it sounds like they do great work, however I'll NEVER support an office that treats their staff so terribly. read more

Called and emailed multiple times to see what kind of recourse they would offer and got passed around from hold to promised calls back that never came. Eventually they just stopped responding. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! My wife spent a considerable amount for veneers. They invited her back for a deep cleaning and assured they would check insurance eligibility prior to the appointment. They went through with the cleaning, then admitted afterwards that they actually never checked the insurance, sticking us with the bill. After months and months of back and forth, they still would not do us the courtesy of admitting their own fault and covering the few hundred for the cleaning (after having already taken tens of thousands from us). To add insult to injury, they offered another free cleaning to "compensate" for the trouble. Turns out, this was another lie. Instead of being complimentary, they actually charged the insurance without us knowing, which resulted in more headaches. Dentistry For Life does not care about its customers and does not do business with integrity. They take tens of thousands of dollars without batting an eye, yet will not correct their own mistakes of a few hundred. Check other reviews for similar billing and insurance nightmares. read more

Unethical Practices and Poor Quality Care: A Warning My experience at this dentist office was nothing short of a disaster. Firstly, the receptionists seem nice but really they are very careless and lazy. Their only job was to check if my insurance was in-network or not and they had months in advance to check before my appointment but they didn't do it until the day of my appointment. On the day of my appointment, when they had already stabbed me with 6 novocaine shots, they had the nerve to come in and told me that I had to pay for this entire procedure out-of-pocket because they had just checked and found out that my insurance does not cover for work done at their office. What was I supposed to do? I'm already in pain and all drugged up so I paid. But it could have been completely free for me if they had done their job in the first place and told me that I was not covered and I could have had time to look for another dentist office that is covered by my insurance to go to. I feel like they purposely do this so they could take as much as they could from anyone that walks into their office. They knew they did me wrong so they told me that they will file a claim with my insurance after and will refund me back what the insurance send them. Well guess what, I waited for months and didn't see any refund or even hear back from them. I called them to check and found out that they didn't even file the claim yet. Of course I was shocked by the lack of professionalism displayed by the staff so I asked to speak to the owner/manager. She tried to make amends for her staff's laziness by offering me a free cleaning. Once again, it became clear that their main goal was to squeeze as much money out of me and my insurance as possible, rather than genuinely helping me get my money back or fixing the problems that they caused. Free wasn't really free. I found out that they made a few more claims with my insurance that I did not get done with them just to cover for the "free" cleaning that they offered me. Overall, I would strongly advise against trusting this dentist office with your oral health. Their unethical practices and subpar care are simply unacceptable. I was very nervous about getting dental implants. I decided to get the implants (top and bottom). After having chemo all my front teeth started to become loose at the same time! I contacted two other dental offices and finally decided on Dentistry for Life. From my first visit, I knew I could trust what they were telling me about treatment options. The entire staff was warm and courteous. They helped to alleviate the intense fear I have always had for dentists. The office manager, Leanna, helped me right there in the office to get the financing I needed. Both Drs. Parikh and Patel are professionals and very knowledgeable and it is clear they know their stuff. I got the entire initial procedure completed in one visit and now I have to heal to get my final implants. In the meantime, I have a great set of temporaries that look as good as the final set. Both dentists are super knowledgeable and really nice cool people and the same goes for the rest of the staff, everyone seems to be happy to be there which is the total opposite of my previous dentist experiences. I just got molded for Invisalign by Dr Patel and had a pretty intricate tooth extraction and new implant surgery done by Dr Parikh and all I can say is he does great work. The procedure was done ahead of schedule and I didn't even take a single Ibuprofen even though I was worried about the pain and left the weekend open, I was feeling back to normal that evening and didn't even have any pain at all it was seriously amazing. As a professional in an emergency situation, I came to the Dentistry For Life. I am overall glad that I came to their offices. The type of oral attention I needed performed was out of the scope of work that Dr. Parkih and Dr. Patel would normally handle, but because of how critical the situation was, they were able to take care of re-cementing my tooth. I'd moved to Philadelphia late last year and it was an easy decision to check out Dentistry For Life, given their amount of 5 star reviews. After a few appointments in, I can confidently say that they their rating is 100% justified. Every single point of interaction with them - scheduling, communication, the appointment itself, reminders, etc. - is top-notch and I can't really think of anything that they can improve upon. All of the staff are extremely friendly and it's always a pleasure talking to any of them. I've generally been apprehensive about visiting the dentist in the past, but I don't feel any of that here. Lastly, to make things more relevant for COVID-19 times, they're taking precautions very seriously and I feel that everyone's safety is their top priority. And again, I still don't feel any worries because of how well they're handling this. I honestly don't see myself ever wanting/needing to go to another dentist. I recently booked an appointment for a cleaning with the hygienist there which I need every three or four months now and I was told I could see the hygienist if I signed a release so I got there for my appointment yesterday and I signed the release. At the time I told her that there was an area in my upper right back of my mouth which shouldn't be cleaned but at some point during the cleaning I thought she was getting incredibly close to that area so I motioned to stop and at that point something fell out in my hand which I had felt in my mouth right before then and I didn't know if it was part of the tooth or the bonding of that tooth. Then she said she'd have to take an x-ray and go get the dentist who was Dr Parikh. He wanted to do an extraction of the tooth right then and of course I refused and said that it should be put back the way it was which was bonded together and he said he could not do that until today. So I had to commute from Exton which is where I'm staying with my friend as we're traveling through the area. I would have to say at this point that I agree with a reviewer further on in the Yelp reviews saying that this man is a bit like a used car salesman. We exchanged niceties and we did agree on politics but that doesn't mean anything as far as how he treated me as a patient. In Dentistry IQ which I recently read it says a red flag of a dentist is a dentist who consistently puts down the dentists that a patient has gone to prior to him or her and that is what he did in this case and it's disrespectful of me and he sets himself up for a lawsuit. My lawyer actually told me that I shouldn't have to pay any more than what I was supposed to pay originally which was the $100 for the cleaning and nothing else but I feel like I perhaps should pay for the X-ray but nothing else past that. Apparently there is another dental office in the same building and I ran into a woman in the elevator who said she'd been going there for 12 years. Philadelphia Dentistry has pretty good reviews. Perhaps consider going there instead. But if you do need cosmetic work make sure you follow the advice of Dentistry IQ which is to look at the before and after pictures of any cosmetic dentist that you consider or ultimately go to for your own safety. Dr. Pateh actually had the audacity to ask me if the prior dentists I was going to were legitimate and if they had their credentials on the walls of their lobby. I said I noticed his credentials were not in the lobby. He said they were behind the reception area. He disrespected and discounted the work I had done in Mexico as well as all the other work I've had done which is more than one red flag. the hygienist yesterday use the term after she made her mistake that I was under supervised negligence. She was negligent in following my request and when I saw her today she looked away. read more

I wish all of my life's dental work could have been done here. They have the state of the art equipment to do everything amazing. I had two root canals, two build up and two molars. I have to say I was worried. I had a lot of bad experiences with dentists in the past and felt like I was rolling the dice but the second I got into the office , the office manager Lianna, made me feel like this was do-able and they were going to help me figure it out. Once funding was in order a had an appointment for ALL THAT work. It didn't take nearly as long as other places because they have excellent skills, great staff and the most efficient work ethic. The even have great music! My two back molars are now my favorite teeth in my mouth and I can't wait to keep going. I did have a small problem unrelated to Dentistry for Life, dealing with the Care Credit, but Lianna, generously and on her own time (!) asked me to come into the office and she got on the horn and went to bat for me to get the 0% financing they promised in the contract.
