The string of flight cancellations and delays were enough to stop us from flying with this airline ever again. But the worse was when we actually flew with them. Unbelievable how bad this airline can be. Bought business class tickets for two, return flight from SFO to KUL. First time, and our last time. We requested for vegan food. We were constantly given butter. For the 3 meals we had from KUL to SFO, it was all the same main meal/ main course. For business class that we paid usd$4100 per person. Outrageous how horrible the food was. The fruits wasn't fresh, the apple was brown in color, the rice was undercooked, the taste was a mixed of soggy socks water ( yucky) and tomatoes purée. We were so highly disappointed. What a failed service. Nothing except salad and apple in the lounge at the airport. Transfer time between terminal is over 1.5 hours- a lot of waiting in Manila airport. Ground crew told us to wait few minutes as they asked us to hand over our passports. Why lied to us? One hour and 40 minutes is not few minutes. Horrible service, incompetent staffs. And I have not even get into details of how ridiculous they were, giving me so many wrong info over the chat and phone calls before the flights. Oh, they even missed our request for vegan meal for one flight, from MNL to KUL. 4 hours of no food as the regular business class menu is NOT vegetarian friendly at all. Will never fly Philippine airlines again.

12/29/2019 PR105 Review: If you want your holiday spirits dampened by cold unfriendly, inexplicable attitude then this is the flight of your dreams. Our flight stewardess never smiled during the 15 hour journey. During the meal service, she asked me what I wanted to drink. I requested for ginger ale. Her cart was out of ginger ale. She acted like I asked her to fetch for a gallon of liquid gold from the fountain of youth. I would've changed my preference if she gave me another choice. I could not believe what I just saw. I wish there were more choices when it comes to direct flights to the Philippines. Flight PR5104 01/15/2020 however was a different story. This was a make-up flight from a cancelled one from the night before. Passengers were understandably tired and weary but the crew were very helpful and made you feel that Filipino hospitality that you know.

PAL: Plane Always Late Imagine this.... Saturday evening at Philippine Airlines. You're dropping off your loved ones at SFO (San Francisco International Airport). They're flying Philippine Airlines (the midnight flight and only flight that leaves SFO). So you drag your balikbayan* boxes for miles from the parking terminal or drop off point to the check in. Herds upon herds of confused and sometimes angry Filipinos are waiting in line. Each one of them has a story to tell or a dramatic event that brought them here. But somehow you manage to entertain yourself and your loved ones like this... "Go to the nearest white courtesy phone and ask the airport operator to page, "Gary Valencio". Tell the operator that Gary has to meet his party in the baggage claim." After the operator makes the announcement, you'll have the ease and simplicity of getting your baggage and boxes checked in on time. Provided that the check in staff doesn't abandon this stations. From Incheon to San Fran they hand out small size bottled water twice. Sometimes they give you an entire can of beverage and other times only a poured cup portion. Personally, meals were tastier going to Incheon. Coming back to USA mostly a darkened sleeping flight. I started watching episodes on Copenhagen Test. Not sure if toilets were freshened during the 11 or 9 hour 57 minute flights as wet floors, definitely not water. They provide one sanitizing wipe as you enter the plane, an unusual configured pillow and a good blanket both ways.

We arrived with three young children and none of our belongings. This completely disrupted our travel plans. We had planned to continue traveling after arrival, but without clothing, personal items, and essential belongings, we were forced to change our plans and spend valuable vacation time dealing with a problem that should never have happened. The communication throughout the process was frustrating, and the compensation offered did not feel proportionate to the impact this had on our family. Traveling with young children is already challenging. Arriving with none of your checked luggage makes it exponentially more difficult. I am sharing this experience so that other families can make informed travel decisions and ensure they keep essential items in their carry-on luggage whenever possible. Unfortunately, after this experience, I have lost confidence in flying with United Airlines.

As a result, my family -- including a minor child -- was forced to remain at the airport overnight. No hotel or transportation assistance was provided. Eventually, we had no option but to return home by Uber at our own expense. Delta has since refused to reimburse our transportation costs, even though the cancellation was due to a mechanical failure, which is fully within Delta's control. Additionally, the airport staff were unprofessional and unable to provide clear assistance. For every basic question they had to make phone calls, acting only as intermediaries without authority to resolve the situation. After many hours, we were simply told that there were "no flights" available. The cancellation process itself took approximately five hours to complete, creating unnecessary stress and hardship, especially while traveling with a minor child. Delta's handling of this situation reflects a serious failure in customer care, communication, and basic passenger protection obligations. I am requesting full reimbursement of our transportation expenses and appropriate compensation for the overnight disruption caused by Delta's mechanical failure.

The flight attendants never announced to the plane to let passengers who were potentially late for their connecting flight to get off first. So these were just random, selfish people who decided to clog up the aisle. I was sitting pretty far back in the plane so these people just made it more claustrophobic by standing in the way for ~15 minutes. It was awkward to deplane because they were in the way and you had to let them all cut in line first. Even though our flight out of SFO was delayed for hours, encountering these passengers were the worst part of the whole experience. Strange how they never learned flying etiquette. Or is this a Frontier thing? The flight attendants never said anything. I will avoid Frontier in the future.

We made sure that we followed the allowances as described on the Korean Airlines website. In general, I would fly this airline again except for the way the steward/stewardesses were waking people up periodically to serve food etc. I am not sure what there policy is, but other airlines do no wake you up. The main reason for four stars (not 5) is the stewardess woke me up on landing as she put away my stowable entertainment system back into the armrest and took my knee out as she lifted it. I have a bruise on my knee. She could have shaken me awake. In any case, her decision did not work well for me. Suggestion: clear policy on waking up customers.
