I'm not from the area so I googled searched nail salons in the area. Specifically one near a Ross Yes, Ross is a must! lol But I am so happy I came across Philly nail and spa! I walked in with no appointment and they happily accommodated me. I walked in with coffin shaped black nails and walked out with a gorgeous oval shaped French manicure. They are absolutely stunning. I was blessed to have Philly herself do my nails. She did a style of French manicure that I never had done before. She used all gel. The white and the pink and they came out so perfect! Philly and I had such great conversations. She is very friendly and personable. I wish I lived in the area to come back more frequently! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place. I highly recommend coming here! The salon is very clean, the owner is amazing, and the pricing is affordable and worth it! I hope you come here and love your nails as much as I do! Had a nail job done. Haven't had one in years. I've been here before, but got an earful today. Waited patiently, because only two workers were available. Lilly ( owner), stated that all her workers are on unemployment or don't care to work. Told her it's okay, I understand. I'll wait. She then stated, " I'll never hire another Vietnamese, because they work under the table, they're not hard workers." Moving on.... Alrighty then.... AFTER bill was paid. I had decided on my own vibrant color, Red by Chanel. Beautiful Red . All of a sudden, she saw my Black Lives Matter bracelet under my sleeve. She said she was tired of hearing Black Lives Matter. "All lives matter, she said!". I said, "YES THEY DO. I'm not discounting that. " I explained BLM stands the constant police brutality and injustices all over the world. She then proceeded to tell me of an "unruly", African American woman who she called police on, in her neighborhood, that ended up getting evicted. Apparently she decided to be disrespectful and said, "Oh, when you wear Red, it means your a hooker. That's what I was told". I've come to Philly a few times over the past few years and the pedicures were never wow but never terrible either. Location is convenient so when I needed a pedi I came here! I decided to try a dip manicure recently which the Owner did. Her conversations and opinions are very honest and blunt but I am not the type of person to take it offensively so *shrug*. The manicure was decent, not WOW but decent. Majority of cuticles were straight, 1 nail was crooked so I fixed it on my own. 2.5 weeks later I came in to get my dip taken off. I didn't make an appointment but figured maybe it was ok since it was mid morning. Anyways the Owner said she couldn't help me because she was too busy. She said she had zero availability the rest of the day and suggested I take my dip off at home. She said..."You can take it off yourself at home, it's easy, use your file and soak in acetone." I'm so upset and honestly in tears. I'm very pregnant (about to pop) so i came in for a gel mani/pedi. Didn't ask me what shape i wanted my nails so i figured theyd just follow existing shape... no... my nails were square and now they are round. And not straight at all! I couldn't really see my toes till the end and oh my gosh!!! I'm not kidding when i say my big toenail was almost twice the size when i came in. She cut it like half way down my toe. My son was harassed by the owner asking him what color he wanted, I said he doesn't want a color after he had already said "no thank you" then I proceeded to say so what if he wanted a color it's no big deal, she said this three times. I wanted to punch her in the face for being such a small minded person! I decided to treat my self yesterday to a birthday pedicure as soon as I pulled I noticed it was a very clean atmosphere very clean establishment so I called up and made appointment with Philly and she was able to get me schedule at 10:00am which was perfect for me since I had a busy schedule I was greeted right away when coming in and I decided to get the $35 dollar pedicure why not spoil my self on my birthday the girl who did my pedicure was very sweet and very quite and the owner told me politely that she didn't know English and I said no problem I definitely enjoyed my pedicure it was very relaxing and it was very well needed with the warmer weather now it time to wear flip flops lol when it comes to pampering your self this place definitely does that i highly recommend this for anyone looking to get a pedicure or a manicure or getting your nails filled they also offer waxing service this is a very clean establishment very impressed with how well kept this salon is managed I will definitely be coming back here again very soon for more future visits and more great experiences to come thank you Philly nails you guys are awesome read more

Philly nail salon cares about their clients. I took my mother there and we both had a pedicure. Both technicians asked for our input on the selection of type of pedicure we wanted. The technician also checked to see if the pressure of the massage was good and they took my mothers direction and adjusted to her liking. There were some nail issues and Philly suggested not to wear polish for a bit. Not something you normally hear from you technicians. Much appreciated for quicker nail recovery. I like seeing the sterile equipment being used and the single use bags for the bowls. read more

Today was my first time visiting this nail salon and I wasn't very impressed with my experience here. I was hoping to get a gel manicure with a single flower accent nail on each hand. I showed the technician a picture of what I wanted and she then showed the owner. I was promptly told that they couldn't do what I wanted and that they didn't do gel nail art unless it was simple lines or dots. This really disappointed me since I hadn't had my nails done in months and the nail art I picked out was so pretty. So I sat at the nail station to begin looking for a plain manicure color with a single glitter accent nail. The technician was impatient and hurried me to pick a color. For my manicure I requested enough coats of the glitter so that it was not opaque, the technician acknowledged my request and said okay. During my manicure I alerted the technician that there was a flaw in the paint on my right thumb nail, she said okay and continued working. Hoping everything was fixed and to my requested liking the technician applied the final coat of gel polish and set me to dry. Upon inspection of her completed work my glitter is transparent and the flaw on my thumb is still there. Gel nail art could not be done and neither could a simple gel manicure. My only reason I'm giving this salon two stars was the price was good for a plain manicure, had it been done efficiently, and because the owner offered me a water while getting my nails done. I stayed at the local Holiday Inn Express for a wedding and needing to get my nails done before the event, this salon was within walking distance. The girls took me in quickly without needing an appointment even though they were busy the entire time. I opted for their Luxury Mani ($22 + $10 for gel) and Royal Spa Pedi ($35). Two girls worked on me at the same time. Their massages were very relaxing and quality of their work was great. I doubt I will ever be back since I live on the other side of the country but I would HAPPILY recommend to anyone local or even passing through. read more

I love her honesty ( not everyone can take it ), but would you rather have the person that is working on ur appearance lie to you? She will not do that, I like that if she thinks it will not look good on you she will let you know but at the end of the day it is still your choice. I walked in around 10 o'clock asking for a fill. There was only a few people inside so I got right in. The atmosphere of the salon is happy and welcoming with lots of light shining in. The lady who was doing my nails took her time and did an amazing job. I didnt have my hand all the way under the UV light on accident so my thumb nail did not dry properly, but instead of just painting over the mistake (like ive had done at some other nail salons) she noticed and completely filed down the nail and redid it so it looked perfect. 30$ for a fill. :) read more

Let's start with when we entered. Customer service lacked; we were asked to come back in half an hour. Okay came back and my sister was seated first before I decided to get mine done shortly after (since the only options they had were acrylic and gel). I sat next to my sister helping her with her newborn and waited until it was my turn. The nail tech that did my sisters was great. I even told her it's okay that I waited for my nails to get started on so my sister and I could take turns with the baby. So my nail tech came over started me off with my manicure (cuticles/nail soaking). She left and took forever to come back. Oh forgot to mention the amount of flies inside! The other nail tech (3 total) starts killing flies on the chairs customers are sitting on, including mine, and to be any worse she begins swatting the flies on my nephews car seat! Like that's beyond disrespectful and disgusting to say the least. My nail tech finally returns as my nephew begins to get fussy. I begin pushing the stroller as she is doing my nails and complains about me moving! Maybe if she wouldn't have taken so long she would've been able to finish before my nephew would've woken up. Not only was she horrible with her customer service side of it but her job was terrible it hasn't been 24 hours yet and my nails have begun to chip!!! Wtf! Never again will I return to this place. My 14 year old daughter went in to the salon to have her acrylic nails removed the correct way to preserve her own nails the best she could. When she was done she called me crying because the salon did not soak her nails in solution to get them off gently, instead they used a nail to dig under her acrylic nails and just ripped them off. They tore off one of her nails entirely and the others look more ragged than they did ever before not to mansion the pain she went through to have her nails ripped off. I could have done his myself at home and saved her the pain! I called two other nail salons who both assured me they would have never ripped off my daughter's nails and would have soaked them off. Thanks for charging my daughter for a "professional" nail removal. I will never go here to your salon again! Terrible service. Go to cozy nails or coco nails. I'm giving them the 2 star rating for several reasons. My boyfriend wanted to take me for a pedicure. And this was also his first time. We called ahead to schedule. Person who scheduled us said: we are busy but can take you at 3:30. We say okay. At the time we arrive we notice that they were busy. But Nothing crazy! But most everyone is with a customer. Well except for the Owner/Manager that is. She on the other hand was doing nothing but talking crap about the customers to her employees ( in their native language) it was very apparent. (And I understand her. ) Note to owner: be careful when talking crap! You never know who understands what you are saying!! After being there for a few minutes. The owner went around to each customer and asked them to pay now. she said:: because I want to leave early! She waited to gather all the payments and tips. At that time is when I noticed that she kept part of the girls tips as well!!!! We gave each of our girls $15.00 tips! In addition to the cost of the pedicures .. But the owner only gave them $6.00 or $7.00 each for tips. I watched her go through each girls tips for the day and take out her portion. Now correct me if I'm wrong. But I thought tips belonged to the person doing the labor? This isn't a restaurant where you split the tips with another worker like a bus boy! Not to mention the place was dirty. After sitting there for awhile is when I started really looking around. It didn't seem like a very sanitary nor updated place. Very run down and cheaply put together. I didn't expect it to be some upscale place. But I did think it should have been more up to date. I did however think the pedi chairs were nice. We were not happy with our experience! And I felt so bad for this being my boyfriends first time experience. If you value or respect the actual person who does the work. And you want to make sure they are actually paid what you intended to give them. Don't Go Here!! This was a disappointing experience all around! There are better places in the area to go! The manicure was nice, but I think they should have a chart for different nail shapes. I asked for an almond shape nail. It was a gel manicure which is somewhat new and I guess my nail tech did not know how to do them.
