[[HIGHLIGHT]]I tried Venus spontaneously once in 2024, the shop is 2 mins from my job, and my best friend and I needed a quick nail job done and they were able to accommodate us while being extremely friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fast forward to today, I have been a loyal customer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Kimmie and Lily are the only ones that have done my nails (both absolutely amazing and sweet) and i've NEVER had any issues with my nails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm particular about how I like my shapes, never too sharp and never too long and they always get it just right. I visited this location as I was I was under the impression that it was affiliated with the Venus nail salon that I frequent in Elk Grove. boy was I wrong! I brought 2 little girls with me for manicures. they are both under the age of 9. Somehow both manicures for little fingers with some hearts and flower needed up being $78. manicure base price for children is $10. they charge a $2 credit card fee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was charged a total of $88, when I questioned this (78+2=$80) , the response was " well, aren't you going to leave us a tip?".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I left upset but didn't want to ruin the experience for the girls who were with me and were overall happy about their treat! [[HIGHLIGHT]]one of the workers ran out and gave me $8 in cash.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] almost 2 weeks later, I am now being charged $96?!? when I called the owner asked for some kind of proof for me to bring in of course I no longer have that nor am I driving all the way back to Rocklin from Elk Grove to do so. Simple check of the books and receipt I actually signed and did math on to show the workers initially that they over charged me should have been done shady business. almost feel targeted, since they knew I wasn't from the area. I called and spoke to someone and they told me it was because of my nail bed being too short. BS. I came here with high hopes. The place seems clean and is put together very nicely. The two ladies who worked on me were very kind, polite, and fun to talk to. The front desk lady as well was super fun. Plus they played fun music! The execution of the work plus the price is for the lack of stars. For my pedicure, I received the paraffin one. The process felt great. Sadly, one of the workers kept coming up to her and pulling her away from me (3-4 times). Enough time for my water to get cold. 1-2 times I understand but more than that seems a bit much. My lady was very apologetic and I reassured her that I knew it wasn't her doing. The painting on my pedicure is uneven. You can see the different coats on my big toe as well as a couple others :(. The painting felt rushed and not detail oriented. Then my manicure. I asked for Gel X. I have received Gel x multiple times at two other locations. One in Folsom and one in Dana Point. Both had fabulous outcomes. The lady at Venus seemed like she knew what she was doing, till I noticed at the end. My nail was glued on crooked. I have gobs of glue under some my nails that will be completely in the way as my nails grow out, plus harbor bacteria behind it because it will be hard to clean. After two days of daily activity, one day of sitting most of the day due to flying, my left pinky nail is already popping off. My polish is chipped by my cuticles. Some of my nails she attempted to get rid of the gobs of glue, but used the file down to my nail. I asked for the color bubble bath and with most nail salons I've gone to they do 2-3 coats of bubble bath because of how sheer it is. My lady at Venus did one coat. I then offered to pay more for 1-2 more coats because you could still see through my nail and see the gobs of glue through it. She proceed with extra coats but in a sloppy fashion. I hate to say it, but it is the most poorly done gel x set I have ever received. I had super high hopes because of other reviews. I don't know what happened with me. I do not recommend coming to this location. read more

Don't waste your time and money here. Gel nails chip within days. Lily is the only person that preps the nail properly to have a lasting mani/pedi, but that lady Kim always messed up my appointment time and double booked her. i let it go twice but she did it 3 times deliberately. Maybe she wants other techs to have customers but they do a lousy job and nails never last long enough. There are plenty of other places that do a much better, lasting mani/pedi for less price, but I would avoid this place at any cost. read more

It's very nice and clean inside, I mean but it is new so it should be. I went for a pedi, and even with the 25% we got off it was still way over priced. They add fkn $15 jus for gel, like seriously that's more than the price for the bottle of polish, they will also charge $10 to remove the polish (there went her tip). The girls will sit there and chit chat continuously and not pay any attention to what they doing. There is white polish on the cuticle's of my toes, it looks so bad that I'll have to redo them myself. If you want to relax and enjoy your time I suggest maybe going to VIP nails, that's where I'll be going back to since this place literally sucks! Honestly it was very weird right when we walked in. Way too over priced and they charged 2 dollars for using your card. The pedicure I got was so basic that Idk why I was paying $30 and $15 extra for gel nail polish.Didn't even really get any cuticles, didn't get my ingrown toenail, painted over my cuticles, filed down my skin AND the paint chipped a day later... I'm so disappointed. Idk why this was so expensive when they did BASIC pedicures and gel... I could've done better on my own toes when I never went to school for this. NEVER going again. I walked in for a pedicure and eyebrow waxing. The salon itself is clean and staff is friendly and welcoming. My pedicure was done by Katie. She provided an excellent experience. With my work, I have sore achy feet and the massage made me relaxed and eased away my pain. I was running low on time and mentioned coming back for my eyebrows. I came in the day before going on vacation to get a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure felt fantastic but the polish chipped in two days even though all I did was relax around the pool. The gel manicure was an even bigger disaster. Even as my nails were being done the polish started to bubble. I pointed this out to Kelly and asked her to remove the polish and start again. She started to but her next customer came in so she rushed me through and said if they started to peel or crack to come back. Sure enough the very next day on the plane I noticed bubbles, cracking and peeling. So my nails were a mess the entire vacation. I came back in when I returned from vacation and true to their word the redid my nails. That's why I am Giving two stars. While Kelly redid my nails a second time she told me they had problems with the OPI polish that they used on me the first time and that another customer had the same thing happen. However, even the new nails, which looked great when I left started to crack and peel in under a week. I went back and had her polish over the crack but within a day all of the other nails started to crack and lift up. I have had gel manicures done in many places and have never experienced this type of cracking and peeling. While I thought the salon was clean and the staff nice I will not be returning because the quality of the nails is just not there. read more

I see great reviews which is good but she is rude as hell, at least to me she was. I don't know what her mood was today cause interactions with her before were pleasant. I picked a color initially which I left on the counter which my toe polish and then got put away because I didn't tell her it was the color I wanted even though I announced what they were when I left them on the counter. So picked another color out (a chrome white color) but I also want the original pink color I picked out. The white turned out to be a color I didn't even chose and she said she couldn't fix it. Eventually I said just chrome all my nails even tho the white isn't what I wanted, because I had to go. She came back and said "actually I have to go to" and I wasted her time because I changed my mind on what I wanted done with my nails. I'm sure you're just fine without our business which is why you felt it was okay to talk to me the way you did. So thank you and you won't have to worry about me wasting your time again read more

Maybe I came on a bad day, based on reading all of these outstanding reviews.. However, THIS WAS THE WORST MANICURE I. HAVE. EVER. HAD. I have been getting gel manicures regularly for 6 years. My tech at my usual salon is out of the country and a co-worker had good things to say about Venus Nail Spa, so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm the quiet type. The type that never says anything until I leave. I literally told her I didn't want to finish the manicure and I would have the existing gel removed elsewhere. It had already been AN HOUR into the manicure. I asked her to only file my nails to smooth the edges and she filed some nails down to the skin underneath. She buffed my nails repeatedly for 10 minutes. Every time she placed a coat, she dipped her brush in acetone and wiped it off to do it again. She kept telling me how "ugly" it's going to look if I don't finish because the color was too light to only place two coats, as if they looked good to begin with! She eventually said "fine" and looked at my nails in disgust. SAME, Lisa. My nails were GLUED with gel to my skin. The polish was ALL OVER my cuticles and fingers. Horrrrrible. read more

The best manicure and pedicures in Rocklin and Roseville. I believe in sharing a good thing when I find one! Venus salon is one of those finds. I went here for a mani pedi and was amazed by the prices being affordable and the OPI products... last forever. My French manicure by Vanessa looks awesome and always natural; I have had Ton also do my nails and I'm happy to say all of the nail technicians are good. I had full set of lash extensions put on by Vanessa and I love the complements I get. People aren't sure if the are mine or extensions. I love how full and natural they look. I love not having to put makeup on every morning because the lashes give the look you already have makeup on; Thank you Vanessa for making me beautiful from head to toe. read more

I love my pedi! I was in Rocklin for another appointment and needed a pedicure. I tried and tried to go to my usual place by my house yesterday but they were way too busy, after trying 3 times, no more. Found this place on Yelp, was skeptical of all the 5 star reviews... This place is under new ownership and the old business had awful reviews... It was so close to my appointment so I decided to just give them a shot. I'm so glad I did! Amy did a wonderful thorough cleaning on my toes!! My usual place is not very good about that! I went with the $32 package, hot stone massage. I knocked a star off because the massage was only two minutes long if that. For $32 I would at least like 4 minutes... Sheesh.. But overall very nice experience and I gave Amy $8 tip for how nice my toes look. ***Updated to add, today's pedicure massage was 11 minutes long... Felt so good!
