Listen. The strung out looking woman with the super tight bun in her hair is the absolute WORST! If you go there when they open, she make you want to leave. Rude would be an improvement for her. I walked in and asked, "Are you guys open?" And she shouts "WHAT DO YOU THINK?!". I stood there for 5 minutes watching her thrown things around and mumble god knows what under her breath. I left. How does someone hire a person like this to greet people at their store!! Do better PF and get rid of her. read more

I live in Florida so when I come up here to visit family, I always try to stop and get the Philly pretzels. My family is in so I usually go to the one the last two times that I've gone to the first time was early in the morning just shortly after they opened and the pretzels were very small and they felt like they were from the night before. I just went there today and they only had 17 of the regular pretzels left and I asked if they were I'm taking to be either the owner assured me that they are fresh so I took the 17 and they were not fresh. They were not horribly stale, but they were stale. I called to speak to what was the manager owner and she told me that the gentleman told me he would make me a fresh batch that was not the case. He never told me he would make me a fresh batch. I guess I'll have to head to the one in Manahawkin going forward. read more

I admit I'm a a hair torn between 4 and 5 stars, but ill be nice and give them 5 haha! We have ordered from here a few times for various parties at my SiL house in Brick. Its 5 minutes from their house! Sadly the one closest to me closed... We used to be able to order for major holidays in advance (this is the 4/5 conundrum) but they changed how they do it. Now you order when you get there for major holidays, and you need to order in store and not online! Depending on when you go, its a wait... They do this so the food is a fresh as possible when you order! I get it, I reallllly do, and luckily I get there early enough to beat the rush, but I would still prefer to order ahead.... Other than that, the staff is always friendly! Very helpful! And the store is always clean. For days when people order like crazy, they need to tweak their system, maybe put a sign in the door saying that if you ordered already and are picking up, just ignore the line and walk in. It was kind of hard for me to do that last time. The pretzels are pretty good, I'm German and used to the delicious reddish brown flaky crust with a soft pillowy middle... But that is hard to find anywhere outside of Germany! They stay good for quite some time. After a few hours, they start tasting a tad bit stale, but toss them in the oven for 3-5 minutes to just warm them up and its almost as good as new! For the American style pretzels, they are pretty good! Im not the biggest fan of their hot dogs, I prefer sabret, or nathans, but that is personal preference! Their dips are solid also! From sweet to honey and spicy mustards, to cheeeeeeeese and dessert dips! I havent tried them all, but all the ones I have tried are very good. All in all it is a great place to get party snacks for parties of all sizes! They are always a hit with my family! Make them the hit of yours. read more

Be aware, you will encounter the crack head lady that opens the store and is Big Mad she has to work. Maybe if you allowed people to place orders online in advance you would better understand staffing and make more money. Instead the buffoon running the place is nasty on the phone and tells you, you have to place that in person and you'll wait for it. I can't say enough bad things. I just left the Silverton location and experienced the worst customer service ever from the woman who opened up the store at 10 a.m. I was the first customer, and she was so rude. I downloaded the app and placed the 5 free pretzels order that I was given, and she refused to honor the app 5 free pretzels. She told me to call corporate, which I will. She also wanted to know what was in a bag I was holding. Like I stole pretzels through the glass over the counter. I told her it's my own bag from another store. She was very rude, and the whole experience was super upsetting. Now I have to call corporate and report the whole incident. This woman should not be working customer service at all. read more

Better customer service training of employees needed. Sign in window advertised "teacher specials" and then employees know NOTHING about it, saying it's "from corporate." OK -- and that is why your store SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IT! So, at the very least, "false/clueless advertising here." Then, I go ahead and choose to buy a pretzel anyway, and the girl gives me a COLD pretzel! I feel it, ask her if she can please give me a HOT one instead, and she gives me ANOTHER COLD ONE! I mean, if I wanted cold pretzels, I'd buy them bagged from a convenience store! What's the point of coming into a Philly Pretzel Factory store if you're not going to get a HOT, FRESH pretzel??? (And I'm traveling, so no, I don't have a microwave or toaster oven in my car to warm it up myself.) So ANOTHER worker then tells me a hot one is available if I can wait 7 minutes for her to make it. Just enough time to write this review. PLEASE get your act together, guys; you're making the company look bad. (Although I never had this issue with my local store in NYC.) *I originally gave a 1-star rating but changed it after a gentleman from the back (May have been the manager) handed me a bag with 5 super-hot, fresh pretzels in it, even though I had only ordered one. I appreciate this level of customer service; he definitely did the right thing! So HIS service gets 5 stars, but being I had to push multiple times on the other employees to get what I originally came for (a HOT, FRESH pretzel), the overall rating is still less than 5. I informed them I had my comformation paper with me from their online site where I ordered my platter.. A woman who stated she was the owner toldl me I had ordered through Door Dash. What could improve?? Train your employee, whoever the woman was that was nasty to me when I went in to pick up my order, not to be nasty to your customers! The fellow, standing to my left but well behind the counter asked me a question and I didn't hear him, EVEN though I wear hearing aids. I took two steps towards him to hear what he asked, and this woman was extremely rude and nasty. "You can't come back here. Stand back". Don't know what else she even said. Seriously lady? To start of there customer service was absolutely amazing. The place was clean and cozy. While we were waiting for our food the cashier handed me a free pizza pretzel to eat while we waited. Pretzels were good but the service was not. The workers are not pleasant people at all. After ordering I asked how long it would be because the girl did not tell me. I received dirty looks from all the workers for asking a reasonable question (could have been 5 minutes could have been 2 hours I didn't know???). I would give less stars if I could. I ordered a tray and went to pick it up. When I arrived my order wasn't ready and to my surprise either was anyone else's. The worker stated they just been give order to anyone. I waited thirty more minutes for my order for them to give it to someone who walked in after me. I will never order from there again. The woman in charge is not customer service oriented. She is very confrontational, rude and abrasive. You can only place orders in person or online. I placed my order on line and forgot to indicate it was for the next day. I did receive a call from the store, but didn't retrieve the message until that evening. When I went into the store the next day, to reorder the tray and explain what happened. She took the order and starting yelling at me and trying to prove I was wrong, which I admitted upfront. I just wanted to know if I could have the sauces from the previous order (mustard) with my new order. She said, my entire order was thrown out. Funny, all the mustards are displayed on the counter, and not refrigerated, so I doubt she threw them out. Needless to say, I walked out and will never again visit another Philly Pretzel. If they allowed orders to be taken over the phone this would never have happened. read more

I guess I'm becoming some combination of an addict and a whore. I am driven to write this because I got to get me some o' that First to Review, baby. I have written previously about another Philly Pretzel location, and so have pretty much already said what I have to say about it. I am struggling not to do a cut and paste job. This location has just recently opened, and they seem to have their act together. As the name foretells, Philly Pretzel makes fresh Philadelphia-style pretzels, by which I mean that they are shaped like figure eights, and not that they are cold and burnt, which is the truly authentic experience. This is one of those surprisingly numerous instances where inauthentic is much better. They open early, so you can surprise your coworkers with an unusual breakfast that is also inexpensive. Don't skimp and neglect to buy mustard like someone I know. You don't want to be that guy. That guy is a dick, trying to come off as magnanimous, not realizing that he's an obvious cheapskate. They also close rather early - 6 pm during the week - so abandon any hope of a munchie-abating late night pretzel run. You'll have to plan ahead, instead. As I have mentioned before, I am very fond of the Pretzel Dogs, which are pretty self explanatory. I just got two with one of the mustard cups they offer, a stone ground type with horseradish whose name escapes me, and the bank wasn't just broken, but shattered at a whopping $3.50. I wish there were one of these near my work; I would eat that for lunch often, if for no other reason than because it's practically free. I wish them the best of luck, and I hope they develop a following here and stick around. As a business model, I'm unsure of how pretzels support an actual storefront, because even if the margins are enormous, we're still talking about small dollar products. So get out there and buy tons of pretzels, fellow townspeople! Do your part and support my craving for junky sausages wrapped in a firm crust, and for them to be conveniently available near my house, please. read more

The other girl answers the phone and says she'll be right back she had to go get someone to punch out. She comes back in and says she's gone. So the girl on the phone say s she should run after her. Have eaten here on multiple occasions and really enjoy it here. They even allow you to buy pretzel buns (hot dog/burger) if you want to have your own take on them. The prices are actually very fair for their pretzels and they have lots of combo deals. read more

I mean it's just pretzels so don't expect anything exciting. They have a good assortment of pretzels and when I bring them to parties people seem to be happy with the quality. The place is usually pretty quiet so you can get in and out quickly. The people that work there are not exactly the more pleasant people but I can imagine the work kind of being a pain. read more

I hate that I even have to give this place one star. Last week I ordered 2 Party Trays and an additional 14 dips($35 of JUST dips). With the party trays, I ordered the included dips- one with 3 Honey Mustard dips and one with 3 cheese dips. I spent a total of $91 for pretzels and dips for my mothers surprise birthday party. My intent was to have pretzels and 2 different types of dip on each table for guests to enjoy. I do not live in the Toms River area and the party was being held on Staten Island, so I had my Aunt from Toms River pick them up on her way to the party. I told her I ordered two trays and extra dips. When she arrived she had two trays and only the 3 dips inside each tray. They were all cheese dips. She was never given a receipt at time of pick up, and wasnt aware she was missing dips. A call was placed to the Store right away, where my boyfriend told the girl of the situation, and was told he would receive a call back. When she called back he was told I would be refunded for the full amount of dips that were not received in addition to a credit for a party tray or a full refund for one of the trays. This was all on a Saturday night. She told him the owner (BOB) would be calling him to see how we can proceed. After calling the store several times between Saturday through Tuesday we finally got a call back Tuesday afternoon. Maybe the owner does not care that a whole tray and a half of pretzels had to be thrown in the garbage, but I do. I was only given the option to place the pretzels in one location at the party, and only able to provide my guests with cheese dip, when Honey Mustard should have been included with AT LEAST one of the party trays. No one wants to walk across a room to have a pretzel. They want it at their table while sitting and talking and enjoying company... Bob was more interested in letting us know it was a simple mix up, and that I would be refunded the $35 for the dips. When we asked about the refund for a tray, he decided it was a good time to fight with us, his customers, act rudely, and insist what we were saying was not true. He also decided to LIE and say he tried to contact us several times since Saturday. What a joke. Now we are being verbally offered a free tray of pretzels when we are in the area.. and we would want them why? And we believe this verbal agreement will be followed through why? Being this is a new store, I cant believe the owner would not do his best to make a customer happy. I already was annoyed enough to have to throw perfectly good pretzels away, but to then be given attitude from the manager over it makes me want to never return here... let me know if someone needs some pretzels I'll pick them up for you.. just don't order any dip. I agree with the other Yelpers.. The pretzels are great, the dips are great but the way the owner/ manger handled this situation is unacceptable. read more

I have been a huge fan of the Philly pretzel factory as their pretzels kick the competitors butts. When one moved into a shopping center barely 15 minutes from my house I was extremely excited! I frequent the store quite often. Their combos are at a perfect price and their dips are to die for. The workers are kind and efficient, they are always smiling and obviously love their jobs. You can tell by the way that they act that they are happy there and honestly that makes a big difference. When the employees are happy, you know the environment will be very welcoming. I have ordered trays for all of my parties ranging from my mother in laws birthdays, my daughters graduation, her random parties in between and I have never wen disappointed. All of the guests always say how delicious the pretzels are and I'm always excited to tell them how much (well really how little) it costs. And they often have speciality items like the sausage pretzel for October and special giveaways! You should definitely give this place a try! read more
