Stopped in around 8pm for a quick last minute dinner. It was my first time eating here and was very happy I went. We were quickly seated and attended to by a lovely waitress named Pam. The menu was extensive, but I settled on an Italian grilled chicken sandwich deluxe and my fiance ordered a Turkey Rueben. The food was very tasty and had a good flavor. The portion size was big and the price was good. The diner had a 50's feel with an Elvis statue and jukebox at the entrance. Very nice spot that I plan to return to.

I went to this diner numerous times in the past after a doctor's appointment or a dentist's appointment (please don't tell them). Now I get to review this spot between hectic highways and a wooded part of Farmingdale. Website: 5/5 The website has a very standard look that is easy to navigate and does not overwhelm the eyes with complicated colors. It leaves no room for misunderstanding pertaining to the menu, which popped out on its own page with bright colors and easy-to-understand font. You will also find plenty of photos of the restaurant during special events, along with one page about the food served there. Brand: 5/5 The Googie aesthetics of the '50s, from the bubbly design of the menu to the music to the interior and exterior design, always pervades this establishment. Indeed, they become JB's Diner's most spectacular elements, seen with such displays like the Elvis Presley statue greeting you or the boomerang-decorated table surfaces. You will find jukeboxes and black-and-white-tiled floors that definitely reflect the style. Ambiance: 5/5 You will find plenty of booths that provides enough room for large groups along with bars. The noise does not become as much of a problem if you find yourself on one of the booths. I would say that the establishment has enough space for afternoon rushes. With the exception of the delivery app Chownow, the diner tries to maintain the classic visage of an old-fashioned diner without much technological update. It definitely works in such an exceptional case to preserve its charm. While no other diner could sustain this, I would say that JB's Diner manages to work with it. Service: 5/5 The staff patiently ask specific questions about your order. The employees do have importance beyond their stations, indeed, since one of the waitresses wore a hat indicating her birthday. Wait Time: 5/5 We did not have to worry about interruptions throughout our wait time. Not only did we get to seat ourselves, but I managed to write up to half of my page before my order arrived. Food: 5/5 I ordered the '29 Ford Special, which included Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, pork roll, home fries, and orange juice. It definitely had a lot to fill me up throughout the day. While the waffles had a hard texture, every other food was well-cooked. The pork roll had a smoky, savory taste, while the home fries had the right amount of crunch, and the orange juice had flakes of pulp that added nutrients with every sip. They all complement well with the sweetness of the Belgian waffles. Worth The Money?: 5/5 JB's Specials all reflect classic vehicles and have their own unique selection of menu items. Indeed, they definitely work for the consumer if they wish to save costs while getting a full breakfast. They reflect the brand perfectly while also making it worth the wait. The owner sees the diner as more than just a diner, rather as a family with many recurring customers. I can definitely see how this would work within the diner's demographic approach. While maintaining its ageless facade, it manages to appeal to many age brackets, be it Baby Boomers who lived during that time, Millennials like myself who grew up listening to the music from the car radio, or Gen-Z. I really have no personal suggestions other than to adjust the Yummy Plates page of the website to include the names of the dishes on it. Other than that, I will ultimately say that the price was definitely worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars I have hope for this establishment, for if life could be a dream, than JB's Diner would make it so. Recommend To... Anyone looking for a family-friendly diner that reflects the 1950s. You will not be disappointed once you arrive.

Hubs and I decided to give this place a try and were immediately seated after arriving. Hubs ordered Veggie omelet with home fries and whole wheat toast. The omelette comes with peppers, onion, broccoli, mushroom and tomatoes. This order has never disappointed him. Omelette is standard diner omelette. It was a little overcooked and flat but still did the trick. Potatoes were nice and golden brown with onions ( which is very important ) and also satisfying. I ordered a short stack of blueberry pancakes and thought that this was nice and fluffy. I've been wanting to come back here for a while but the traffic outside of this place scares me into coming. It's not bad entering into the parking lot, but it's a nightmare trying to exit. You have to close your eyes and hope for the best. LOL. Service was quick and friendly. Will eventually return to try other items on the menu when I get over my fear of the traffic outside.

    Mushroom & Swiss Burger

Every state is known for something. Well, New Jersey is known to have the most diners. Unfortunately, this one was a miss. - worst meatloaf I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. - my mushroom burger lacked flavor, even the ketchup couldn't save it. - I'm pretty sure my hot chocolate came from Swiss Miss. - the chocolate egg cream needed more seltzer. On the bright side, these following items were good. - my pickle & coleslaw that came with my mushroom burger. - the plain baked potato that came with the meatloaf. I rarely ever complain about bad service. The servers are all high school girls. They do not look like they want to be there.

Our family decided to dine this morning at JB's! It was our first time and I will say it was fantastic. Food: The food was great. Generous portion sizes and decent pricing. They also offer a kids menu which is great for the kids. Service: Overall Service was excellent. We were in and out within an hour. Staff was very prompt and attentive. Everyone who sat down got served immediately. I absolutely loved how as soon as customers would leave they had bus boys cleaning and SANITIZING each and every table. You don't see that too often and as a mom I appreciate how clean it was. They also offer sanitizers at each table. Ambiance: The inside is very retro and cute. It's filled with lots of older car memorabilia and super cool to look at and show kids. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and ambiance and will definitely be coming back!

    ENORMOUS American burger stuffed burger

Try their burgers. Yes to die for. I always have a BLT which is the best in all diners around. Waitresses are fabulous and caring. They dress for all holidays. Love the schtick But back to the burgers.... Anyway. Worth the stop to see Elvis greeting you at the door.

Brand: 5/5 Tenth and Willow is an Italian-themed deli located in Colts Neck Plaza in Farmingdale. The logo has the Italian flag emblazoned in the background. The solid aesthetics on the website of the sparkles and shining rays perfectly represent the brand. When it comes to the interior, I will say that they deliver on all they promise, for you will find many Italian food and ingredients throughout the establishment. Website: 5/5 It brings you immediately to an image of a sandwich, which makes a good first impression on anyone coming to the site. Scrolling down, you encounter the backstory and the menu with many selections from beverages to wraps to heroes. You will find at the bottom a regularly updated blog section filled with fun facts of Tenth and Willow. Wait Time: 5/5 I experienced no delay or disruptions during the time I waited for my order. Ambiance: 4/5 The establishment housed plenty of Manhattan Specials of varying flavors throughout the aisles. You will also find plenty of cookies and treats upon racks, including meats and cheese hidden behind large glass counters. The aisles and the space between them and the deli did feel cramped with no tables or seats available. Food: 5/5 I ordered the Maple Ham Hero, which considers maple ham, fontana cheese, lettuce, tomato, and balsamic glaze. The maple ham had a sweet taste, as expected, which complements well with the sharp fontana cheese and the lettuce. The balsamic glaze had its own strong taste. The bread held well and had a decent amount of crunch, without becoming stale. Everything in the hero stayed in place while it also had a rich, thick taste. Service: 5/5 The staff managed to get my order without any issues. Worth The Money?: 4/5 The selection of meals, such as heroes, definitely reflect the brand of Tenth and Willow as an Italian market-and-deli. While I did not have a problem waiting, it did feel cumbersome in a cramped area for my order. Nevertheless, the ambiance of exploring around the establishment did not have an issue with me, especially as I got to see the delicacies from the cookies to the marzipan. As for the Maple Ham Hero, the appropriate wait time matched the quality of the food. The organization of the food shows that the staff care about their ingredients. They make it clear on their website that most of their partners provided locally sourced ingredients. If that is true, then this establishment deserves more attention, and I can see how Italian restaurants would rely on this deli for their ingredients. While the website does not scroll down with silky speed, it does provide a sense of welcoming ambiance with its deep, green color. I will say ultimately that the price of the Maple Ham Hero and the experience going to Tenth and Willow was worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars I have hope that Tenth and Willow will continue to have relevance in Farmingdale, and among those who prioritize Italian cuisine and ingredients. Recommend To... Anyone just starting an Italian restaurant and is looking for key ingredients, since you would be supporting local producers while propping up your local business, thus creating a network of local businesses that help the community through the local multiplier effect. I also recommend to anyone looking to add more to their Italian-inspired cuisine and need suggestions about which meats, cheese, or spices to use. If you like Manhattan Special, then I would also recommend this establishment to you.

The pulled pork slider had a pleasant amount of smokey pork, and the brisket slider transported me to another dimension with how tender and flavorful the brisket was. Both were generously-packed with a dark house BBQ sauce that was different than I've experienced before. I could speculate that there's some sort of soda or molasses rounding out the flavor profile. The only way I could see this elevated would be with some sort of light slaw to add a little texture and vegetables. An included side of chips was equally excellent. House-made from actual potato's, the chips had a pleasant crisp with a hint of what I could perceive as being a malt vinegar. $10 for this entire platter is a sound deal. Then, as I sometimes do, I turned a late lunch into my lunch/dinner for the day and took advantage of their $1 wings deal on Monday's. The minimum order is 12 wings, which ended up being the ideal amount since these were phenomenal. Smokey Sliders' wings are baked with ample seasoning and an impressively crispy, evenly-cooked exterior. The chicken inside was cooked absolutely perfectly, still smoking as I bit into them. I used each of their spicy sauces to cool the wings down: Maple Bourbon BBQ, Mango Habanero, and Pineapple Sriracha. My mouth is watering recollecting the flavors of these sauces: they were all top-tier sauces that are several notches above the standard BBQ sauce at a chain or even a hot sauce purveyor. The flavor notes were all prevalent, with plenty of maple syrup, mango, and pineapple notes respectively balanced well into a slightly-thickened sauce. These wings are top-tier, and some of the best I've ever had. The wings, paired with the sublime sauces, may even be better than the well-crafted sliders. It's served in a clean space with some seating for groups by a friendly owner. I was glad I used Yelp to lead me here instead of grabbing pizza, as I would otherwise have no idea, as the entirety of the meal was excellent. The quality, speed, and innovativeness of the sauces may make this an underdog in the BBQ scene within a few more seasons.

Website: 5/5 It is easy to navigate, with many sections slowly coming to view as you scroll down the main page. It also had plenty of images of the food, enticing the viewer with utmost curiosity and craving. The menu items offer many selections with most of them having images representing them. Brand: 5/5 The entire aesthetic of SmokeHouse Grille relies on the appearance of an old-fashioned American grill. The interior especially evokes it, for the white-painted wooden walls, floors, and tables invite those looking for briskets. The pig is a recurring symbol throughout the establishment, since it represents the prevalence of briskets and pork products in the menu items. The staff mentioned that the SmokeHouse Grille's ideal first impressions would have an unassuming appearance, but surprise potential customers with their unusual food selection. Indeed, I can see how this could work for this establishment. Ambiance: 3/5 Despite having the appearance of a grill, there was definitely that eerie silence at some moments with no music playing over the radio. The benches where we sat did not feel readily fastened to the floor and I nearly fell off after adjusting myself a few times. The spaces between the tables definitely felt cramped. A silver-lining is that customers have an abundant option to eat outside where plenty of tables rest. Service: 5/5 The staff genuinely enjoyed her time working with the customers. Wait Time: 5/5 We experienced no delays waiting for our orders. Food: 5/5 I can say that pertaining to the Brand section, the hot dogs and the burgers definitely have unique twists to them. I expressed interest in the Mac Dog, which was essentially a course consisting of two hot dogs topped with macaroni and cheese with a side of French fries, with a side of peach tea. It had a well-cooked sausage and the mac-and-cheese topping solidified perfectly by maintaining heat while also not having a gooey intrusion upon my fingers. The buns held their form without disintegrating with every bite. The rich creaminess of the mac-and-cheese topping definitely complemented the spiciness of the hot dog sausage. Worth The Money?: 5/5 Although some of the menu items on the website did not have images, I nevertheless got a good idea of what to expect going in. If the SmokeHouse Grille found itself at some point when they could not make their food, they would default to Peruvian food, since the owner also owns the neighboring Perusa Peruvian Cuisine restaurant. I would be very interested to see traditional Peruvian foods with an American grill twist. I would also recommend giving the pig mascot a name. The relationship the SmokeHouse Grille has with the rest of the community is one that is based on the devotion of returning customers. Indeed, small businesses rely on this type of relationship and I would like to see it expand in the future. Pertaining to the unassuming appearance and unusual food, I can see how it could work, requiring a lot of word-of-mouth from returning customers. Also, if this unique aesthetic would work with music playing over the radio, then I would suggest classic rock along the lines of Chicago that appear old-fashioned in appearance, yet their songs have a variety of deep meanings. I will absolutely say that the food makes this establishment worth its price. The interior ambiance will not be a problem if you choose to eat outside. Rating: 5/5 Stars The average score rounded close to five out of five stars and I can definitely say that I have hope for the SmokeHouse Grille. Recommend To... Anyone enthralled to that unashamedly American brand of cheating food. American cuisine is rife with nutrient-negligent sludge packed with creamy, greasy flavor; might as well make it a part of you. I will not judge. I also recommend the SmokeHouse Grille to anyone who is either an extravert or knows someone who is, who will easily spread the word of this establishment to everyone they know.
