The blue cheesesteak was unique but tasted mostly like old blue cheese dressing more than anything. The mushroom cheesesteak was good but lacking a bit in flavor. The food is great but their business is old school. Theyre hours are only Noon to 5pm from Tuesday to Friday. They are not on any delivery service. They could have triple the business if they extended the hours, worked on Sunday and Monday, and were connected with DoorDash or GrubHub. Its also very hard to order ahead. Even adding another phone line to order would increase their sales exponentially. I often patronize their competitors because I do not feel like being bothered with the line in the store. read more

First, be warned that they only take cash (they will also take debit starting in JAN 2014). However, this is not a complaint, just a fact. Credit card companies charge a significant percentage from the business to use their cards, so I completely understand a business opting out. Their walls are replete with Philadelphia paraphernalia, so there's lots to check out while you're waiting for your food to be prepared. I've now been twice and love it. I've had their regular cheesesteaks (wit onions and wiz) and the bacon bleu cheese. Both were excellent, but the bacon/bleu is phenomenal. Also good were bacon brownies (marked as center, edge, or corner for easy identification). The staff is really friendly and they seem to have a fun time there, which is a good sign in any restaurant. I recommend avoiding any place where the workers seem unhappy. There is no deep fryer, so no fries. This is the only disappointment.
