My awful tasting hollow skinny Plain Cheesesteak - WHOLE , cheese is non-existent.

Absolutely awful, a waste of my $27.10 . A 29 minute wait , 2 exhausted looking cooks ,1 cheese steak ,1 brownie, 1 fountain drink, more bread than meat , scorched tasting meat, didn't get the extra onions/mayo that I paid for . Foreign guy taking orders was so clueless . What happened to the friendly and family style like staff that used to be here with good customer service? Subs used to be stuffed fat to the max and so flavorful that you could save half a sandwich for dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I knew something was wrong when I read the room and the place wasn't packed wall to wall at lunch time like I'm used to seeing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm so disappointed and I wish I could get a refund, I've been coming here over 25 years and this will be it for me . This place used to be top tier and shake and move and have you in and out and satisfied. Great thing my other favorite cheesesteak spot in Virginia Beach -Philadelphia Cheese Steaks on Great Neck hasn't changed up at all and I'll continue to frequent there for great service and food. I'm gonna miss coming to Here when I'm Norfolk craving a good cheesesteak but it just doesn't hit like it used to. Wishing success to whoever did this!

12" with mushrooms and all the peppers. Divine!

ALL the ingredients tasted super fresh and cooled with loved. It took a minute for my order to come out, but great things are worth the wait. Staff was super friendly and the food was so good. It's beyond my ability to describe it accurately in words.

Chicken Philly.. so juicy the bread got soggy

We had 5 orders placed for my coworkers and I. The lady on the the phone was pleasant and respectful. She said it would be a 25m wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I arrived, there was a long line of people waiting as well as people enjoying their food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] By the time I got to the front, my order was already done. All of my coworkers were very content with their Philly cheesesteak. I, on the other hand, had the chicken cheesesteak with sweet peppers and onions (12"). It was extremely flavorful and so juicy that the oil seeped through the paper lol. Putting it in the toaster oven for later tonight. Great eats for sure!

I been going to Philly's for years. I ordered a turkey bacon club decker. I dont know what I received. I understand that things change with new management but the food that made this place the go to place shouldn't changed. When I got the sandwich 1st it was so much mayo that you can make two sandwiches with it. The manager called himself remaking the sandwich and it was even worst. Club decker is suppose to be with 3 pieces of bread but it was only 2 and very little turkey and it also was suppose to be a large for $9.75. Needless to say I would never go back after over 20+ years of giving them my business.

Got the Philly special with meat and it was better than recent past. The prices have definitely gone up.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Simply amazing food. It's a very popular spot. There is parking in the lot in front of the building and they have a pretty open concept dining room. Due to their popularity, there was a bit of a wait inside. We went on a Sunday and were surprised at how many people had the same idea for dinner. The kitchen and cook staff should be applauded for how quick they are able to cook and fill orders. The system they use to make the sandwiches quickly was impressive to see. We ordered the chicken phillies which is one of their staple items. You do have your choice of meat for your sandwich. They have a full menu of options so don't think it's only phillies available. Everything was delicious. We ordered our food to go however they do have a eating section as well. Oh and please be on time before they close. Once closing time approaches, they will prevent you from entering. Can't wait to visit again

Just moved from CA and happened upon this cheese steak spot - and I am glad we did! Cheese Steak with peppers, onions and mushrooms hit the spot! The large is big enough for 2 to people to share along with the pound of fries. Son had the grilled cheese sandwich that was also very good, stuffed with cheese. Highly recommend coming to this spot for a sandwich! They have different types if cheese steaks, as well as cold subs too!

So we pulled up yelp and found fat Phillies. This is what I would call a classic Bodega/hood joint (They have all the flavors of Rap Snacks) that does a great job of serving up a good variety of sandwiches and sides at an affordable price. Now this establishment is housed inside of a convenient store in a strip mall that also has a Chinese food place and a couple of other establishments. This is a typical convenient store with groceries drinks and a couple of casino machines at the other end of the building. We pulled up to the counter as they were shutting down, so unfortunately, the wings weren't available. So we decided to go with the standard Philly cheesesteak, and fries. Sandwiches were ready in about 10 minutes and they were cooked to order. Both of us were very satisfied with the sandwiches. Mine did have a little bit of grissel and tougher meat, but not necessarily something I didn't expect given the price. Overall, this is definitely a place I would likely stop through every now and then just to grab some sandwiches and other items that I can't find in a Whole Foods.

I chose the Becca Burger, without mushrooms and their Steak Diablo Fries. They make everything fresh, to order with fresh ingredients. The burger was clearly freshly hand-packed, the jalapeños were freshly sliced, not pickled. Since they make it all fresh, you might wait a few minutes longer than the typical burger joint, but that's fine considering the amazing eats you're about to enjoy. My burger came out looking beautiful and it was definitely sitting tall! The flavor was excellent! Meat was great too!! I definitely liked having their chipotle mayo on it!! Those steak Diablo fries were incredibly tasty, with a nice kick, but sooo much more flavor than heat! The fries themselves were great, perfectly crispy and tasty, but adding all those toppings truly made it special! Service was nice... I had a few questions and she was helpful with the answers. Lastly, they have birch beer here, which I loved! Highly recommend stopping in for a great burger and fries experience!!

After attending Sunday Mass on 1/12/25, I decided to try out King's Philly. Cheesesteaks are…read moredifficult to successfully replicate, despite the fact I generally enjoy the ones I've tried locally. In that respect, if you're looking for authenticity, King's Philly won't make that list. When I arrived, King's was empty. There was one employee at the counter, and I quickly noticed two kiosks against the wall to the right of the entrance. I made my way to the kiosks and noted that the employee didn't say a word when I walked in. I like kiosks mainly because I can see, right in front of me, the entire menu. I noticed an oxtail philly, a bulgogi philly, and even a salmon philly on the menu. With this being my first time here, I decided on a regular old philly - in this case, a Classic Philly Beef. I ordered that and made it a combo (French fries, can of soda). After I ordered and paid, I sat down at a table and waited for my food. As I waited, I noticed that King's Philly is connected to Sushi King. Sushi King has been consolidating their space the past few years as they converted the other end of their suite into a Domoishi, and now this space for King's. By the way, King's interior is bright, colorful, clean, and organized. I waited maybe 10 minutes - the girl at the counter informed me my order was ready, and I picked it up at the counter. There are no fountain drinks available (a drawback, imo), but there is a fridge at the counter where you can choose your soda (cans). There is a second fridge next to it which has bottled drinks. The Classic Philly Beef was okay. The beef wasn't sliced ribeye and honestly tasted like frozen beef that was defrosted and then heated up on the flat top. The philly wasn't rotten nor was it bad, but it wasn't outstanding. And for $14-$15 for an 8" sub, I feel it needs to be outstanding. Also, the bun/roll they used for their philly didn't hold up. It almost immediately fell apart and its contents (beef, grilled onions, grilled peppers, provolone) fell all over the place. I ate a good amount of my philly with a fork, so I wasn't able to enjoy it as a sandwich. The fries were decent - well cooked, so they were crispy. King's Philly is an okay cheesesteak option, but it's not a first-choice one. I was curious since they're new, but when/if I'm in the mood for a cheesesteak, I unfortunately will opt for another place. I will return, though, to try the oxtail and the salmon phillies. Maybe those will help me to become a regular, but the classic philly beef will take a backseat. Thank you, King's Philly! JV

The one young guy running the grille was friendly and recommended the cheesesteaks which I gotta say as a lover was suspicious. However I was willing to risk it on the off chance this food stand in a parking lot could actually deliver a fabulous steak. The price was affordable for a footling around $10 and added a bottle water and tip came to $13+ The cheesesteak was completed in around 8 minutes wrapped up and in a bag with napkins. I popped it open in the car and was amazed at the pure size and amount of meat. The smell was glorious with steam waffling above. The bread was fresh and authentic to Philly. The only thing left was a bite and it did not disappoint one bit, just wowzers! It was good enough to return prior to writing a review. It ended up being a carbon copy of my success with another incredibly delicious cheesesteak. This time I used a nearby picnic table to enjoy. This is a chain food stand.
