Phil has helped us multiple times with our appliances including our washer machine that decided to call it quits on Christmas Eve. Intermittent water leak from bottom of refrigerator. Called Phil's appliance repair. Responded quickly. He arrived with his extremely unpleasant attitude in a car with a small toolbox. Asked me to assist, after a quick 20 minutes he declared the issue was a mystery and asked for $80.00 . I expressed my frustration and he then said give me $60.00, which I did reluctantly as he did nothing. Showed the curmudgeon the door. Hope anyone considering his service will take this review to heart and seek a knowledgable service company! read more

The belt broke on my 38 year old dryer and decided to get it fixed as opposed to buying new one that DON'T LAST. They responded same day. Chris came over and was very friendly and professional. Replaced the belt and rollers. He had the job done in no time. Also gave me some tips on the exhaust pipe which he didn't have to do. Highly recommend! read more

I was surprised at how unpleasant this man was. We paid $90 to have the dishwasher evaluated -- took less than 5 minutes to determine we needed a new water pump. Told him I had another machine down in the garage that I would like him to drop in instead and he told me he doesn't do installations because they're "too hard". Proceeds to use my bathroom and then talked me into replacing me pump stating that the one in my kitchen was superior to my backup. Decided to trust his instincts I told him to make the repair. He walks in and out of my house for five times and then tells me he can't do it. Ugh, just ugh. read more

LG dishwasher only few years old but stopped working. Tried a few things on my own before seeking help. Being local and based on reviews, Phil's was my first call. Left a message and Phil called back reasonably quick, said he'd send Chris over. Chris was prompt, friendly, respectful and clean. Took dishwasher apart to diagnose and troubleshoot but never made a mess. Couldn't resolve problem on first try and presented two possibilities: bad valve or bad circuit board. Of course, we opted for the cheaper solution (valve) and paid a small deposit. When valve arrived, Chris returned to install it. Unfortunately, valve was not the problem but fortunately, Chris didn't charge us for the valve since we didn't need it. Circuit board was next up at (maybe) $350. Not ideal but two toddlers in the home, hand washing dishes is pretty inconvenient, as is buying new dishwasher. Initial deposit carried forward, Chris ordered the circuit board and when it came in, he returned to install it. Luckily, the new circuit board did the trick! Chris let me inspect the old circuit board and nothing about it looked broken. No blown capacitors, no broken circuits, no evidence of a short anywhere...just not working. Very happy with Chris and, in general, Phil's Appliance Repair. Solid work, no BS and I never felt pressured into going with the more expensive part even though that was the one that broke. They will be my first contact if any other appliances break! read more

We've been using Phil for at least 10 years! Always the same service, fast, effective and does not break the bank! The longest repair took 3 days as he had to wait on a part.
