Imelda and the guy (I believe he was the manager on duty,he was the guy that use to work at Home Depot) were both so helpful. Although they have specials and send emails with discount codes, many times the discounts don't apply to brands that I'm interested in. As I looked at the receipt they charged me a higher price than what was on the display. Showed it to an empoyee but was still told to get in line for the price correction. That in my opinion is not good for customer service. They honored the price difference but the hasstle from the price difference on display and what rang up at the counter is a problem. This was my second time coming here. The first time it was a bad experience too. Buy one get one half: not with the Brooks running shoes. That's why I concluded this as a clickbait store. I visited the DSW in Torrance, CA today to return a pair of shoes I had purchased online just a few days prior. I wore them for only two hours, during which they began cutting into my foot, ruining my evening. While the shoes show minimal wear on the bottom (as expected after being worn briefly), they are otherwise in perfect, brand-new condition. Unfortunately, when I attempted to return them in-store with my receipt, I was met with dismissiveness and attitude from both the associate and the store manager, Joanne. Instead of listening or showing empathy, Joanne scuffed and told me bluntly that they don't accept "used" shoes--without even considering the full context. When I asked for the corporate number to attempt a resolution to the issue through a different avenue, she scuffed and told me, "No one's going to help you if they're used." She wasn't wearing a name badge and hesitated to even give me her name when I asked. Ironically, within minutes of calling DSW customer service directly, the representative apologized, issued a free FedEx return label, and assured me of a full refund. It's disappointing that a store manager would show such unwillingness to help or even show basic courtesy. This experience is exactly why so many people turn to retailers like Amazon--for the ease, efficiency, and lack of unnecessary hassle. I chose to shop at a big box store thinking I'd receive quality service and support. Instead, I was left embarrassed and frustrated. I actually looked on Amazon just now and they have the same shoes for just a few dollars more. I would gladly pay a few more dollars to avoid an experience like this again. DSW needs to seriously reconsider how its in-store teams treat paying customers. Experiences like this push loyal customers away. read more

This location is huge and has so many shoes in so many styles that you are bound to find something. I got a new job recently and knew I had to go shopping for some new blue suede shoes...well not really. From sneakers to flats and heels to boots, they have some of the top brands at an affordable amount. If you are a Dr. Marten fan, you can score some shoes for a bit cheaper ($109). I will definitely be back for those. There are even cheaper shoes on the sales rack towards back of store so make sure to browse through that area. They have an accessory area with cute socks to wear with your new shoes along other accessories. Staff was great here so it made the shopping experience even better. I'm used to wearing tennis shoes at work for the last 10 years.. so I ran in there almost before they were closing, and I was desperate to find something for the next day. I haven't been inside of a DSW Shoe Warehouse in a long time . This is now the shoe store where you come merely to try on shoes but to buy online for way cheaper. I was looking for athletic sandals to accommodate some foot problems I am having at present. They had a bevy of Sketchers sandals, one with an arch support that I liked, but only one pair left and could be a half size larger (most shoe companies quit making my size). Being that I would mostly be wearing these until my feet heal, I wasn't going to spend much. I wanted to see who had them for cheaper since before the 30% off their so-called "clearance price", they were $59.98. Low and behold, I found them on the Sketchers website for $42, which means DSW marked their prices up by $17 versus Sketchers website. To boot, I saw a slightly deeper discount by signing up with DSW website, which I did earlier in the day, but it wouldn't give me the 20% off + free shipping price as promised, only 10%. This company operates off of jacked up prices and false advertising. Not cool! This company literally shoots itself in the foot! All puns aside, it's weird to think they replaced a very busy, very bustling 99 Cents Only store location en lieu of a mostly dead and overpriced shoe warehouse whose prices are not discounted but rather are equsl to or more than the price of shoes online that are being sold at current discounts and whose aisles don't even accommodate those with walking or mobility problems and whose management doesn't do anything to price match or make a sale with an actual better discount than manufacturers (little known secret: ALL retail prices are negotiable, and you should always try to finagle the best deal when shopping). That's ok. At least now I know I can always return to DSW to try on the shoes I will end up buying online. Much easier than shipping back sizes that don't fit!! :) read more

This is an awesome location. I decided to pay it a visit on Monday December 26th. It's a pretty big store although it can be quite deceiving from the outside. There was plenty of parking. This location has stalls right out front for online pick ups. Pretty convenient. The security officer was very nice to my mom regarding getting help exchanging a shoe that she actually purchased online. Karla was awesome. Although she seem busy she stopped to answer my questions regarding contactless payment. Another team member by the name of Cierra went above and beyond to help my mom. Her customer service was very impressive to me for her to be so young. She made us feel very invited and taken care of. It was a very nice experience because at the end of it all, she ended up being the one to handle my mom's transaction. She didn't rush through it. She took her time and made sure everything was done right. I'm not sure how long she's been working there but I hope her enthusiasm for the job never runs short. She's amazing. The woman at the online order desk was extremely rude. The line was long to the back door and she claimed she had no idea about how long it would take folks to get through line. I needed to return an online order and even though I had ordered my item online she said I could not return it through the online order desk that I had to wait in the regular line that was back to the back wall Full off frowning people. I walked by 5 sales people, non of which greeted me or asked if I needed help finding anything. I spoke to a manager and let her know I was taking my business elsewhere. Always love coming here, it's so hard to leave with just 1 pair of shoes. Recently went and found a shoe in clearance, but they didn't have the corresponding pair (designer brand) in the back for some reason. I was bummed but the staff was more than accommodating in asking if I'd be willing to go to another store that did have the pair in stock, they'd call to ask them to hold the shoes and honor their pricing. I like DSW because of their rewards program. I go to this particular location​ because it is the closest one to donate my shoes. I was interested when they had "donate a pair for 100 points reward" that is equivalent to $5 in credit to spend at their store. This location is wide and spacious like most DSW stores. I only purchased one pair of shoes online for Cyber Tuesday which were the Fila Disruptor. Unfortunately, they have very limited sizes in store due to the popularity. I was able to return my extra item easily. They accept returns within a 60 days period and more lenient depending on your status with their Free Club Membership. Maybe it is Christmas shopping season, so the line is always long. But that can always be fixed​ because they should either hire more employees or put an extra person at the cash register when the lines get​ long. I went several times now and its usually 2 to 3 employees max at the cash registers. I like that DSW has promotions, and they give out free items with a certain amount that is spent. But I do not particularly​ wear any of their shoes. I know that this store is an outlet​for others shoe​ brand that could not fully​ sell all their shoes, so they resell them to DSW. They are in a shared plaza with others knick-knack​ retails, and a place where you would run errands and would just be able to drop by. Meaning, they are close to the cleaners, a bank, sporting goods, a sizzler etc. And it is right across from the South Bay Galleria which is a plus. The parking is okay. There are always parking, but whoever designed the spaces of these parking spots should be demoted. Because they are horrendously compact and would need to adjust your car after pulling in. Overall, I would reccommend signing up for DSW membership before shopping there because they do give you a $10 for signing up. All the perks go​along​g with 30 points for reviews, 30 points for a ​phone number and $5 for your birthday. Very easy to do a return. read more
