I follow this boutique on IG and decided to visit the store. The clothes are different which is hard to find now days living in Los Angeles. HOWEVER, the owner and girl that works at the register is rude. She will remind you of exactly why the black community has a hard time prospering. Not to mention I had something custome made and the day it was suppose to be ready I had to call them they never called me. The girl that answered told me I could pick it up shortly. I arrived and the piece still wasn't there. Not only did I have to wait but the girl at the front asked me why did I need it today was I going somewhere that day. Regardless of when I needed it I paid for it and was promised a certain day. I can't deal with ignorance or attitudes when I'm paying my money so I probably won't be back. read more

I was referred to this store/site by a friend. Limited selection available to purchase online. When I actually did place an order, I called the store (took several tries to get someone on the phone), placed (and paid for)my large order with expedited shipping....no receipt emailed as promised...no order ever received. It took several attempts to reach the owner. When I finally did, she promised a refund AND a free courtesy item. Lo and behold, after patiently waiting, NO REFUND and NO COURTESY ITEM. No follow-up from Gaynelle. I , ultimately, had to dispute the charge and was refunded by my credit card company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND patronizing this store. Great clothes, but horrible customer service and broken promises. Then people wonder why it's so hard to patronize "OUR" businesses. SMH read more

This is a review of their online store. Sadly the other reviews on their customer service is pretty spot on. Personally they were friendly to me, but I definitely got the run around. I was looking for a skirt they made that was sold out. My very first email I received a quick response, letting me know that I'm in luck and they're getting a new shipment in that weekend. They were right and I happily placed my online order. I never received an order confirmation, nor did I receive any type of delivery time. After about a week I tried reaching out to see if someone could update me. A lot of back and forth, a lot of emails and calling. Same run around as everyone else (need to call back to speak to someone else, you'll receive a confirmation shortly, they are in a staff mtg, etc etc). I even got lucky and the owner answered one of my calls. Everyone was actually very friendly, but lacked in follow through. I eventually received my skirt, which I love, so I'm sad that I know if I order something in the future, that I will more than likely have to wait a long time before I receive it. I used to live around the corner from Philthy Ragz and started going when it first opened. The owners Gaynelle and David were always personable and knowledgeable about their clothing and clientele. They have a variety of dresses, pants, jackets shirts and acccessories that cater to many tastes. The music and decor is always fun. Most recently I bought one of her jersey dresses that are signiture to her store. It was one shoulder, grecian style, with a colorful pattern...very cute for summer! Becasue she designs them herelf she will cut it to your desired length :) Even though I have moved further south I make an effort to go there when I need a cute outfit or statement piece which you can't always find in malls. read more

OMG I LOVE this store!!! The Philthy Ragz owner and her staff are the best! Her clothes are so fashion forward unique and makes you feel super sexy and/or cute! I love how they all are so helpful there too with helping you choose everything from what looks good for your particular body type to what color looks great on your complexion! I LOVE clothes and fashion and Philthy Ragz is my favorite store to shop in! When I'm there I honestly feel like I'm where all the "it" girls go to shop to look fabulous! Every time I wear a Philthy Ragz dress I get compliments! EVERY time!! The owner is so busy (I think because she's become some what of a celebrity in her own right and everyone seems as if they want to fight for her attention) but she remains so sweet, humble and helpful! I personally don't know how she does it! Woman can be crazy and very selfish! I once saw a woman give her so much attitude over something that seemed so petty! I felt bad and wished I could remind the woman that it wasn't her own personal store! Not to mention I highly doubt she would've behaved that way if she were in a Nordstrom where the staff didn't share her same skin color! But the owner handled her (rude) customer with so much grace & humility! I give the entire Phithy Ragz staff kudos for being able to deal with so many different type of woman and personalities that come into their store (both good and BAD) because it's the hottest boutique to shop in LA truly! read more

I must say i absolutely looovvveee this store.. Ganeille the owner designs her clothing like something i never seen before. it took me so long to write a review because i did not want to see other people wearing the same thing as me. But that happens everywhere so i said i am not going to worry about that anymore. im kind of sad because i have not had the opportunity to go and purchase anything recently. the last time i made a purchase was in march for my bday. and i mean wowwwww..the dress was amazing i got so many compliments. Not only does Ganielle design her things really well she also knows how to dress you for whatever occasion you plan on going to. I am trying my best not to go into the store until i have enough money save...word of advise ladies do not go in the store during rent time because you will spend up everything really. I work right down the street from the store and everyday i see something new that she has designed and i am itching to go inside.... But again the store is high but it is really worth it...you have a party to go want to go clubbing and outting with your girlfriends or whatever she has what you need. the shop is right next to a tattoo shop on centinela. read more

I visited Philthy Ragz about a week ago because I was going out of town and wanted to find some unique pieces. I was impressed with the selection that they had and the sales person was really helpful in finding me some stuff that I liked. I ended up buying 2 really cute sweat shirts that are really funky, a pair of really cute leggings and funky black nit hat. I was informed that they get new inventory in weekly and I told them that I would definitely be back to check out what they have. read more

I was very happy when I first found Philthy Ragz. The owner was very eager to help me with my order since I was ordering a few different pieces. I received my order only to find out there was an item missing. I called the store and was told they were sorry and they would get it to me soon. I received the item about 2 weeks later but it was the wrong size. I called the store and I was told I could return the item and they would send another size, so I did. After about 2 months of calling and getting the run around a sales rep told me they would not send me another size and that maybe I shouldn't order if I could not come into the store and try the items on. I ask the young lady did she know I lived in Florida? She stated yes! So I asked her was she telling me not to order anything else since I can't come into the store? She politely told me they would refund my money....I got the hint! read more
