I can personally recommend this place as EXTRAORDINARY! I came across it at a retreat on Catalina and I was BLOWN AWAY! The freshness, the flavor the uniqueness, and the absolute healthiness of every bite was and is some thing I think about since 2018 lol! I don't know what it was but it was delicious! PHINOM CUISINE's plated catering perfected our farm-to-table wedding this summer! We had a delicious appetizer spread, along with gorgeous yet delectable passed hors d'ouvres. Phinom's servers took the time to craft a special plate for my best friend and her husband as they took pictures after the ceremony; everybody was so moved by this sentimental gesture because there were no special requests prior. The meal itself was TO DIE FOR. We knew we'd found a gem as our Moroccan friends raved non-stop about the authenticity of the flavorful Chicken Tajin! From the beginning, MAYA (their executive chef) was prompt and accommodating, consistently staying on point in every aspect. And even though I was overwhelmed with other Maid of Honor duties, I immediately felt comfortable with YOUSSEF (their event coordinator) taking the reins when it came to all things food- and service-related. From the rentals and the bartenders to the guests with food allergies, everything was handled with grace and ease. I could tell we were in very good hands. Having worked with many caterers throughout the country for a variety of events, I can honestly say PHINOM CUISINE provided the most heavenly delicious food at an exceptional value. I've noticed many caterers will try to tack on sneaky surcharges and bill you after an event, but Phinom is beyond fair and ethical. I contacted Phinom Cuisine to explore the menu and prices for a work party. This was a last minute Christmas party planned in under 4 weeks. Phinom Cuisine was incredibly available. Someone answered the phone each time I called, no matter the time of day, or the day of the week. Maya replied to my initial query in less than 24 hours. She sent a questionnaire to clarify key points. How often does that happen? A competent reply so quickly? We had multiple contacts by phone and email to develop the menu of what turned out to be one of the best holiday parties ever. I work in a hospital, in an outpatient clinic. Work parties are a hit or miss phenomena. Mostly miss because they occur during the day (this party was at 1100 in the morning) while still working (no alcohol). Our staff had voted to eliminate Holiday parties a few years back. But I didn't know that as a new team member. The menu is pretty large with multiple appetizers , entrees and desserts. The website has scores of options with detailed descriptions. I requested 5 savory and 3 sweet hor-dourves. I had 50 to feed. There was more than adequate servings. All finger foods of exquisite quality presented on lovely wooden trays. Everything was a hit. The deviled eggs, hummus and eggplant mousse, delicious. I highly recommend the beef kotkas, the elegant desserts: cupcakes and chocolate mousse; but the piece-de resistance were the cheese stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto and baked to perfection. I remove one star for not toasting the bread for the crostinis, a grave error as pointed out to me by an Italian colleague, as well as my personal experience as a woman who knows better. We had Phinom over for our parents' 50th anniversary party and I can honestly credit them for the success of the entire event. Phinom took care of everything from food and timeline to bartending, servers, event coordination, budget management and even hooked us up with an amazing DJ, sound/lighting and photo booth. We had over 120 people with such a wide age range that we were nervous about everyone's food preferences and dietary needs being met. The event coordinator, Jackie, was so patient and helpful with creating a gorgeous and delicious menu that everyone was so happy with-- really so many amazing options! We also could not believe the quality of the team. The servers were just so nice and cordial. Even the chefs all had such big smiles on their faces the whole time-- you could tell the people they hire actually enjoy working together and are passionate about producing a successful event. MAs a business owner, I really appreciate working with a company that values their employees and takes good care of them. A few food highlights: firecracker shrimp, cauliflower croquettes, New England crab cakes, beef tenderloin, chicken Milanese... but I could go on and on!! Myself and 150 other campers had the honor and privilege of filling our bodies with Phinom's amazingly healthy and delicious food. Maya is not only a talented chef but an amazing human being who went out of her way to make all our needs were met and every camper was full. We had amazing meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had Phinom Cuisine cater our company's annual Halloween party and couldn't be happier with our decision. With 350 guests, it was nerve wracking to find someone who I was confident with. Maya and her team could not have executed more successfully. It's rare to see such a huge production go without a hitch but Phinom was absolutely flawless from start to finish. Everybody just RAVED about the food and I've even had employees tell me they couldn't wait for next years. Their themed displays were impressive and incredibly tasty. I reached out to Phinom Cuisine to see about hosting a small, last minute dinner party. I had a few special requests due to diet restrictions, so wasn't sure if this would work out. Maya very promptly contacted me, and after going over my requirements she very quickly had a sample menu sent to me. Once I saw it, I knew I had to go with her and am so glad i did. I had her cook in my home and the smell of the food is amazing! We went with appetizers, followed by a yummy salad with home made dressing, Moroccan chicken, grilled asparagus, quinoa with caramelized onions, and a Paleo cake with coconut whipped cream and fresh berries for dessert (she was nice enough to throw that in at no charge!). This was the first time i have ever had someone come in and cook in my home for a party and i absolutely loved the experience and will definitely do this again. I should add that Maya does all the shopping for the meal, then comes to your home with her co-worker (a nice man from Honduras-I forgot his name) and they prepare everything there in front of your eyes. THEN, they clean up, cook, serve and clean up again! Other reviewers have mentioned that her food is high quality and she cares about cooking healthy and delicious meals and I 100% agree with them. We were lucky to have Phinom Cuisine cater our school faire -- 500 hungry people were raving about the food! Even the health inspector who came to make sure we were compliant said it was some of the best food he'd ever had. The roast chicken, spanakopita, and roasted vegetables were incredible. Aside from providing high-quality and delicious food, the Phinom team was professional, reliable, and easy to deal with. They provided a bid quickly and stayed true to their initial estimate, which is not often the case. They brought enough food to ensure we didn't run out, but not so much that we were paying for wasted overage. They also were resourceful and calm when we lost power for a bit during the event. I was really nervous about hiring my first caterer. Everyone I had asked for recommendations returned to me with horror stories. Now that I've seen the experts at work, I kind of know why. Catering is a tricky business with lots of variables! Phinom executed every last detail FLAWLESSLY. We went for an elegant baby shower brunch for 70 people. I had a lot of vegetarians / vegans / gluten free and other dietary restrictions on my guest list. Chef Maya and her team offered delicious, mindful alternatives my family and friends all RAVED about. The spread was colorful and abundant! Communication was always easy, reliable and fast! Being on the east coast, I was worried I would have difficulty keeping in contact but Phinom was always so reliable and helpful.
