He was going to go to San Diego High, but it felt big and impersonal. My son is smart and i felt like he was going to just cruise by without any challenge or any accolades. We toured SET and my son was so excited. I love that each class is small. I love McCurdy, Ms Heath and all the other teachers. Ms. Geis is such a rad human! My Daughter is the opposite of my son.... She is into dance and theatre, but after seeing how awesome SET was, we enrolled my daughter too. Love the school and staff dearly!

If so, I highly suggest you check out SET High (formerly Coleman Tech Charter School). Our son graduated from SET High last year and now our daughter is attending and we couldn't be happier. She is only in 9th grade and already taking on leadership roles. The teachers exceed my expectations. They know each student by name, have great relationships with them. My son's former teachers are always happy to see him when he goes to visit, which is often. He even gave graduation presents TO some of his teachers before he left. The students are geeky, wacky, nerdy, different, intelligent, unique, confident, and wonderful! My daughter said that she didn't want to go to any other school because she is with "her people" and she is right. Dr. McCurdy said in last year's commencement speech, "If you aren't failing, you aren't learning." What a great place to make mistakes, learn from them, and make improvements. I'm so excited for the students attending SET High because they are learning real-world skills at such an early age in a supportive, caring, and fun environment. You won't find a better school for your student!

Their team is diversely experienced, whether it be jet experience, local air space, or the crosswinds of the islands. Throughout my training I was introduced to other students working on the same challenges as me, as well as former students who have found success with New Vision Aviation. Thanks to their team, I get to celebrate amongst my peers as we work through aviation milestones such as first solos, and successful check-rides. Each instructor is qualified and capable, with their own unique teaching styles, which is extremely important as each student learns differently from another. I found no issues with availability throughout my training. Not only is it advantageous to schedule lessons with another instructor here and there, it was a smooth and flexible process, I felt no hindrance to my personal training timeline. Michael and Daniel were transparent with me from the beginning about costs and expectations, and never withheld information on ways I could save. They were both understanding in sharing their best recommendations, as well as budget friendly recommendations. Their syllabus is clear, structured, and organized. With the hindsight of my personal experience I can admit that their team truly values safety, and pilot proficiency above anything else. If you are interested in learning to fly as a hobbyist, career-seeker, or returning aviator do yourself a favor and reach out to New Vision Aviation. In the unlikely event that you feel you don't quite mesh with one of their team members, do not hesitate to communicate your needs to them, they are all friendly and knowledgeable in their own ways.

Despite all this, still having a dream to fly one day. Now imagine that same person years later with almost 500 hours as pilot in command, instrument rated, with high performance and complex endorsements, check-outs in multiple planes, nearly done with a commercial multi-engine rating, and a plane owner. That's me. I really couldn't have done it without Mike and his team at New Vision Aviation. I can't tell you how many times I've been grateful for his instruction. What you'll get is a high level of instruction, a mentor who is also mindful of cost, and a person who is genuinely interested in your safety. You won't find a better team.

This school's approach is superior to most in that you get hands on experience with business bookkeeping, rather than just textbook knowledge. During my time at the school, I felt welcomed and nurtured by the instructors, who were all very knowledgeable in bookkeeping and accounting. I highly recommend the Accounting Academy to anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in this field. I obtained the following skills: -Double Entry Bookkeeping -Accounts Receivable -Accounts Payable -General Ledger -Financial Statement Preperation -Quickbooks Software -Sage 50 Software -Reconcilliations -Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) -Accrual Accounting -Payroll -Financial ratios And more!! As you can see, the course is filled with valuable information and training and is worth every penny. The owner, William Setterlund, truly cares for the students. He has great integrity and is a pleasure to get to know. He has created a very worthwhile program that has sufficiently prepared many students for their careers in bookkeeping and accounting, including myself.

This is a great school for picking up those skills that are a standard requirement in any job posting you'll find these days. However, it is my recommendation that you do what you can to avoid being taught by Charlotte. There are a total of five instructors at the school, one including the owner Bill who is a CPA and excellent teacher. The other four split classes between morning and evening sessions. I found that almost all of them are up to par with the latest bookkeeping programs and are eager to help in any way they can. Not just in teaching but in giving you information on recent job openings, networking and organizations to look into for further guidance and help. I was unfortunate in landing Charlotte as my instructor. She knows her stuff when it comes to Peachtree, which only accounts for a fraction of the curriculum. However, when it comes to Quickbooks or Excel, and even manual entries, she falls short. If I were to ask a question based on a hypothetical situation, she would dismiss my inquiry with, "Oh don't worry about it. Some things are easier left to a CPA." Which she is NOT. Her lever of professionalism is much to be desired. She once told a student to "Use your brain." On days when we as a class are busy working on one of the mock companies, she will sit at a computer watching YouTube videos on financial reports, debits and credits and so forth. As if she's learning what she needs to teach us. I still have to say, this school is an excellent institute. Despite my instructor's lack of motivation to teach, I was able to use these programs and tap the other instructors for help whenever I needed it. I hope you consider this school. I learned so much. But if you do, I recommend you ask for any instructor other than Charlotte. Do your best to avoid her or you will be spending $7,000.00 on frustration and having to seek out an interested instructor.
