I ventured outside of my norm of ordering beef pho and tried the hu tieu - which is a seafood noodle soup. it was delicious with jumbo shrimps, calamari, fish cake, & imitation crab- the eggrolls we ordered had a homemade feel with fresh filling inside- I should've asked for the fish sauce but it came with the sweet chili sauce. food was piping hot (the way I like it!), and they served it when it was ready- this made the timing of appetizers and mains off a bit but I didn't mind it. just be aware that it won't be served in that manner! highly recommend this place for an authentic bowl of pho or any other noodle soups (they also had bo kho and bun bo hue on the menu- will have to come back to try it!) read more

Pho here is super yummy I like the restaurant....it's clean and big. Plenty of room for lots of people. The pho is tasty and satisfying. Ok, their grand opening sign was on when I went house hunting in the nearby neighborhood back in June 2018 time to remove that sign and show that you're doing good since you're still open y'all! That sign is as tacky as having Christmas lights still on in the mid of July ‍ That being said they got an improvised sign said they got Hue stuffs so I wanna give the place a try. Nice big, opened space restaurant AND even better, a smiling server greeting me yes!!! Now the deduction: when asked the server told me they got nothing Hue except for spicy noodle so spicy noodle (Bun Bo Hue) it is. The broth was alright, the noodle over cooked, the vegetables... Another deduction: I ordered Avocado shake and it was overly sweet. I would've give this place a two for nice server and be like, let's not be here again but I like to be a bit fair and order a couple dishes to go. Ooooh! This restaurant hasn't been around too long and we'd been meaning to try it out. So glad we finally did. I wasn't feeling so hot and when that's the case, pho is the only thing that not only sounds good, but makes me feel better. A good pho broth is magical. Decided it was the perfect opportunity to try out Pho 18. We called in and picked up our order to go. Jon and I each ordered the #13, beef pho with eye of round (tai). Jon also got the #1, an order of fried egg rolls. I can't eat them being gluten free, but they certainly smelled incredible and had that perfect audible crispy crunch! Jon definitely enjoyed them. And we each loved our pho. The broth is beautifully aromatic and flavorful, and you get plenty of the good stuff... herbs, bean sprouts, sliced jalapeños, green onion. The noodles and steak were the perfect texture. I felt a lot better after this amazing lunch. We've found a new pho place to enjoy! We're still staying home as much as possible so we didn't get a chance to really experience Pho 18's ambiance or customer service, but it looked cute and clean from what we saw. I ate lunch (12 pm) here with my family. Upon arrival, there was no staff or customers in the restaurant. We waited a good 5 minutes, so we seated ourselves and waited till someone came out. About 5 minutes later the waiter came and gave us our menu. We ordered the banh beo, hu tieu, and pho bo. The banh beo was overcooked. The rice cake is supposed to be soft and moist, but the banh beo we recieved was very dry and difficult to eat. The fish sauce that they gave us was very poor quality. You can see in my picture that the banh beo was very very dry. The hu tieu was very salty. It was almost unbearable to eat. We had to "doctor" it in order for it to be edible. The pho was pretty good! I ordered a size large and it was LARGE. They had a good portion of meat and the broth was very flavorful! Overall, my experience was okay. I love Pho... I mean it is a craving I have probably one a week. I have searched and tried many places but I think i'm going to have to stop soon, because my disappointment only grows. The look of the place is 4, our service was a 5 but the food was a 2 at best. Egg rolls were perfectly cooked but left something to be desired in the flavor category. Spring rolls are chewy and lacked flavor but the peanut dipping sauce was some of the best I've ever had. The Pho was the real disappointment. Every component lacked depth and seasoning. But I will say this, there is a younger girl working there (I forget her name) but she had glasses, braces, and a big smile and she made the experience worth it. She alone had saved this review from being a 2. She was friendly, polite, prompt, and never stopped moving or working the entire time we were there. Her attitude was great and she really is an asset. New pho joint in Arlington. Food portion is huge and it came out pretty quickly. My niece ordered the chicken fried rice. She really enjoyed it. There was so much chicken and rice she ended up taking more than half of it home. I got the grilled chicken vermicelli noodles. I am pretty picky when it comes to the fish sauce that comes with this dish because most places water it down but here the sauce was flavorful and good. Chicken was nice and juicy. I dont expect good bun bo at a pho place but honestly, you just need to put more bun bo hue seasoning (sold at Ben Thanh market, next to you) and it will be so much better. Portion: the bun is less than the baby bun bo at Duc Chuong for your reference, 1 cha lua, 2-3 pork blood, 2-3 pork fat slices, didnt see any beef. Overall: Service: negative Food: 0 Place: 1 star for new. Why we didn't complain there? Because obviously the "server" didn't seem to care so why should we. I don't tolerate that kind of service. Run! Run far away from here. It was a cold day in Arlington, so we opted for pho. All we wanted was two large bowls of pho tai and two orders of crispy egg rolls. Egg rolls were cold, and we sent them back - they came back warm. Our garnish for the pho was brought out about ten minutes after our soup arrived. We asked our waitress about it earlier, and she said she forgot and continued to bus tables. We had to ask for refills - we almost helped ourselves. The manager ended up helping us. The young waitress with glasses was clearly new, and she was probably the worst waitress I've ever had. She was arguing with the manager in front of the entire dining room, and she had the worst attitude ever. WE ARE NEVER COMING BACK. My husband paid and left to get the car. The manager walked to my table and apologized for the service. People called in sick, the waitress is new and he'a not even supposed to be in the dining room. He said my husband was "pissed off", and he's sorry. Half hearted apologies fall flat for me. Of course, this is just my opinion. read more

Yelp says this place has "Vegetarian Options" and my friend ordered the tofu and veggie pho (which the waitress recommended as the only veggie option on the menu). It's your typical Vietnamese restaurant. They didn't seem busy, but they were understaffed. We had a party of 9 and the food was fairly quick to come out except for one of dish took forever to come out. My husband got a Pho Dac Biet and so did my cousin but my cousins never came out. So he sat there for like 20 minutes with no food and when they did bring it out, they brought it with cilantro and onions which he requested not to have so it took another 5 minutes to bring another bowl out but it was the wrong pho bowl. On top of just bringing out the wrong dishes, they kept saying they didn't have any boba drinks or fresh squeezed orange juice which we felt was a cop out cause they didn't want to make it since they were understaffed. Overall the food was okay, bowls didn't have a lot of meat and the noodles were slightly undercooked. Priced around $8.50 for a "large" but the large was more like a medium type of bowl... as I stated. It was okay, not terrible but could be better. read more

This is a new restaurant in the Ben Thanh plaza. Used to be many years back pho Hung. Walked in was greeted nicely, they ask for our drink order, and then was left looking through the menu. We decide to order goi Vit, pho tai gan, bun with grilled pork, and rode with grill pork. Love the goi Vit was super yummy right amount of onion to cabbage combination and the ginger sauce was yummy, found my new spot for goi Vit they have two size a small and a large we order the small one. I saw this new place open when I was next door eating at another place and I thought I'd try it, looks like a mom and pop shop which I respect a lot! The pho broth was very well seasoned! Been here a few times and always get the Bùn Bo Hue which is very good. However, today they substituted the ham hock for a pork chop. I'm Caucasian so it didn't really bother me but my lady is Vietnamese which really turned her off. Not to mention no TV for my 2 year old and they no longer serve free pho for kids. It's been a long time since I've had pho from a restaurant and also a fairly long time since I've had pho, period. I've always found pho to be bland in general and when I wanted to eat something soupy I would get some ramen. PHO 18 somehow surprised me with their pho and the dishes that my family ordered. I found the large bowl of pho that I ordered to be flavorful (although I did add a lot of sriracha) and I ate it all, broth included. The second dish that surprised me was the duck salad, which I found to be tasty and not chewy. Duck salad or dishes where the duck is boiled are also among the ones that I'm not a fan of, but I did like the one that PHO 18 served us. Service was attentive and courteous and overall my family had a pleasant experience. I'll come back to PHO 18 whenever I have my rare cravings for pho. read more

But I was pleasantly surprised by the taste here! It actually is flavorful with a hint of sweetness. This is the First time I didn't addd hoisin sauce or Sriracha to my broth.
