a menu for a chinese restaurant
    May T.

First time here and of course during covid times, it has been very quiet. We were the only ones here. But it was so clean and the waitress was super nice and informative. Ambiance wise- they've got jazz music and old school songs on so it was very refreshing to sit in. The windows made the dine in bright enough to read the menu :) which is always a plus. I got the special pho small for $10. The broth was very refreshing and smooth. They served it with a heaping plate of bean sprouts, cilantro leaves, basil, chili and lime. I would come here again for this bowl of goodie! The other dish we got was the grilled beef, pork sausage, spring roll bun noodles. The noodles came in warm and it was a balanced dish. There was plenty of meat and it was made perfectly. Would definitely come back to try other dishes.

Absolutely LOVE this new restaurant! Tom Yum soup is definitely a favourite. Quick service and very reasonably priced.

Pho Ngon - The fresh rolls with grilled chicken $7.99! They pretty much rolled the lettuce in rice paper.. half way!

We're the toughest crowd. Plus, Yelp reviews could be very informative. The restaurant has a casual, low key atmosphere. The interior is a bit worn, but rather clean and tidy. We snuggled into one of the available booths and felt quite comfortable. The ordering process was easy and convenient. You simply write down your order on a slip of paper. Don't forget about anything. We took our time browsing the menu, and no one rushed us, which I really appreciated. The complimentary tea was, as always, a nice, welcoming gesture. We ordered two soups. The large size was actually massive. The 'Seafood Pho' was not bad, but I wouldn't order it again. I enjoyed beef broth, all the greens and veggies. Unfortunately, the selection of protein was rather disappointing. A bunch of tiny shrimp (some of them had a fishy taste), carved squid, surimi and something similar to fish cake were just not enough to be happy about. It should be called 'Frozen Seafood Medley Pho'. The best choice will definitely be to order one of the Beef Pho options. My partner opted for beef noodle soup Bún bò Huế. It was meaty with lots of beef, pork and blood pudding. I think his only complaint was that the soup wasn't spicy enough. What happened was, he didn't specify the spiciness level when ordering and our server simply didn't bother to ask. So it was mild and a little bland. The Egg Meatloaf / Chả Trứng was something new to me. The moist and delicate texture, with its distinct pork and mushroom flavor, was very good. It was a truly inspirational dish and someday I'd like to try making it. You pay at the counter.

You can tell the restaurant is a bit old, but it is pretty well maintained. Food is generally ok…read more The biggest disappointment is that the soup for the Pho is not hot enough. I like steaming hot soup in my pho. But the one we got is luke warm only. Service is mainly done by one guy and he is friendly.

Pho Ngon - The worst tasting: the worst Vietnamese ice coffee EVER! Bar none!! It was neither Vietnamese nor a drinkable coffee! Gross.

Eating from LA, Vegas, MN, WI, MI, IL, OH, Manhattan, FI, KS, MS, GA, canada, etc. I make reviews after tasting their pho. I know what pho is good and what is fake! Being Hmong, I try not to be bias, "only Vietnamese people can cook pho! The restaurant started from a Vietnamese owner." Pho Bowl Vietnamese Restaurant I have not had pho in this area of Canada, so I decided to try Pho Bowl. The reviews said this was a good spot. Really? Are you people from mars? How can you say this pho broth is good? It's not even bone broth like it should be. Let me start, we walked in and they gave us an order slip. What? Do I fill it out? Don't expect a big tip. I filled it out. Waited for service. Confused. We eventually got our food. Stop! Their was a long white hair in our food. Nasty. Really. How can you miss it. Nasty. Someone is loosing hair? Old hair. Sorry. You should know better. They did not even remove the item or give us credit. Wow. Your tip is really going to look bad. The pho? I tasted the broth and it was not good at all. For starters, they gave me pork meat. Which is a no no. I know the difference. I ordered the Pho special, I know what I'm expecting. Pho Dac Biet taste better than this. This was clearly a fake pho special. Bad broth. Wrong meat. Sorry. This was a disaster. I had so much high hopes. How can people say their pho was the best in Canada? Wtf? Please. Dumpster fire. $5 tip from $70 bill. That's the kind of service I got. Next to nothing. I paid myself because I took my own order. The only positive is the amount of pho in their extra large. Otherwise this place has gone down. They maybe very good at one time but for sure they are lost. Sell. Update and purge workers. The pho presentation is on par but the broth needs fixing. Don't go cheap on the broth! The place is clean. They need help.
