Pho
Monique M.

Was craving some pho and this was the only place opened late at night. Part of a shopping center that had a lot of parking. Restaurant was a good size. Plenty of seating. Arrived at 1040pm and ordered food to go since they close at 11pm. Staff was very friendly. Food service was quick. Ordered pho, short ribs, halo halo and coconut juice. The pho was very tasty and the noodles were different from other pho spots I've tried from the U.S. and I liked these noodles more. The short ribs were good. They were cooked well, maybe could have had a little bit more flavor, but still good. I loved that it had a lot of rice and a great portion of ribs. I greatly enjoyed the coconut juice. The halo halo was very very sweet. I probably wouldn't order again but I had to try it cuz I love halo halo. I do like that they packaged the drinks like most places pack boba to-go (with a sealed top). The prices were on point for the amount of food that was given. I'd go back again when I'm in the area and probably order the pho again and something new to try.

a variety of dishes on a table

Very cozy Vietnamese restaurant in Niagara Falls area, just off highway on our way back to Toronto. Saw high reviews , so dropped by to check it out. Ordered a lot of foods: Pho 4/5 Mango salad 4/5 Bbq beef ribs with rice 4/5 Pork salad rolls 2/5 Drink 5/5 The waitress seems not quite familiar with the menu options, therefore she came back and forth to check whenever we had a question. Drinks took a long time to serve, but quality is really good. Overall good experience

A local employee from the hotel we are staying at recommended this place. So happy we listen to go here. It was clean and had free/ convenient parking. It was only 11 minutes away from Niagara Falls. The place was nice and clean. The waiter was so polite and knew the menu, answered our questions. He was also very patient with our order. The food was delicious. I had spring rolls. I tried some of the pad Thai that my husband order, it was so tasty. My daughter had pho and the flavors of the soup were also very tasty. We also left with two yummy refreshing mango smoothie. This Texas gal enjoy this eatery.

Try one of these dishes the next time you go to a Vietnamese/pho restaurant! Egg noodles and vermicelli are both really great dishes to get at a Viet restaurant! They come with a variety of toppings/meats/vegetables, so you're sure to find one that suits your tastes. Vermicelli tastes best with fish sauce, but you can use soya sauce as a replacement if you'd like! Other dishes such as egg noodles may be alternatives as well.

TLDR: You must try this place out if you're around the corner. It is delicious, you will not regret it! I came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and the place was quite busy, but had enough room to seat us right away. The place looked like it took over a diner and didn't change the decor (it was nice, but looked pretty old). I ordered their special pho (M-which was about 11$), and my friend ordered their bunbohue (around $11). Let me just say the pho was delicious, very flavourful and had enough toppings (can't complain that it had too much beef, right?). And the bunbohue... well if you like spicy, I highly, highly recommend having this - it was the best I've had... The garnishes (mint leaves) were also very fresh! Overall, very delicious and flavourful restaurant!

Mango salad

My parents and I were in Niagara Falls Canada for 2.5 days and we went here for two of the days. I am sure if we had more time on the last day, we would have ended up here for lunch or dinner again. Pho Viet Nam 3969 is a a pretty spacious restaurant that is very clean and nicely decorated. The menu is quite extensive considering there isn't a huge Vietnamese population in the area. They have everything from hot pots to pho to specialty smoothie drinks. I ordered the pho with meatballs on my first visit and the hu tieu on my second visit. Both tasted delicious and authentic and were very fitting for the cold and rainy days. I also had a taste of the mango salad that we ordered for appetizer and that tasted super refreshing. They gave us a lot of mango and the dish could have been a meal on its own. For drinks, I liked that they had a nice variety of flavors for smoothies. I tried the sour sop smoothie and really enjoyed it! It tasted like they used the real fruit instead of artificial flavorings. My parents are super extra picky about eating Vietnamese food at restaurants as they can just cook it themselves. Generally, they are hard critics whenever we go out to eat Vietnamese food. But they really loved it here and said that everything they tried tasted delicious and they appreciate how clean the restaurant is. The people that work here were very nice, friendly and helpful to us. They made our experience very pleasant. Overall, a solid spot for some amazing Vietnamese food. I highly recommend checking it out if you live here or are visiting the area.

Pho dac biet

A warm bowl of pho dac biet after spending a day at Niagara Falls makes your tiredness melted away. Perfect comfort food in this cold weather. I stumbled upon this place after a fail attempt at Pho Xyclo (found out it was closed permanently without any notice on Yelp). This place is 20 min drive from the Niagara Parks but it was worth the drive. Pros: Plenty of parking spaces. The servers were not the friendliest that you can find elsewhere but they were sufficient. I ordered Pho Dac Biet in small and the amount was perfect. The broth is pretty good compared to some other Pho restaurants in downtown Toronto. (pretty sure there is MSG in it but a little is not too bad for you) They even have a separate room for smokers (not that I'm a fan of it since smoking is not even allowed insides the restaurants in California which is where I'm from). Cons: Serving time is kinda slow since I only ordered a bowl of Pho (I used to work at a Pho restaurant so I know how fast this soup can be served and I came in when the place wasn't crowded) Washroom is dirty. I guess they don't have enough workers to keep up with the work. Overall, I would come back to this place next time I visit Niagara Falls again.

Spring roll

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Niagara Falls. Very authentic and tasty Vietnamese restaurant. Menu had lots of traditional favorites. We had chicken pho, spring rolls, lemongrass chicken, pork chop rice and banh cuon steamed rice roll with ground meat with Vietnamese ham. Everything was fresh and delicious. Amazing spring roll with super thin wrap and full of filling. Banh cuon was excellent lots of filling and rice roll wrap was thin. I've had this elsewhere where it feels like you're eating too much dough. There are only a few places in Toronto that does this dish justice. Lots of Vietnamese ham topping. Service fast and friendly. Washrooms clean and tidy. Overall fantastic traditional pho restaurant with lots of menu options.

Rice with pork chop and shrimp, pork blood, pennywort drink, wontons, Vietnamese coffee
Cathy Ha T.

So my friend and I were spending the day/night in Niagara. We ordered both lunch and dinner here through skip the dishes. I ordered Rice and pork chop with shrimp. On the side I also got a pennywort drink and pork blood. The pork blood was sitting in a broth . It would have been better if the broth didn't look like they dumped a crap load of sate in there. The shrimp kind of threw me off, it smell old and not fresh. But I do recommend pennywort drink and I did lioke the pork blood even though it was super spicy. The pork chop was really good compared tp other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. Although I wouldn't get the shrimp with the rice next time.

*Appearance: 7/10 Beautiful bowl with lots of variety and hitting all the benchmarks *Soup: 6.5/10 Soup is arguably the most important part of a great bowl of Pho, unfortunately this is the weakest spot of the bowl, strong beefy oder and very salty, soup is not hot *Noodles: 9/10 Thin and bouncy, nearly perfect *Meats: 8/10 Although small bowl still huge portion and variety. *Portion: 8.5/10 Size S *Service: Super busy Sunday @ 2PM, slower than usual places. Overall: 8/10 OK to say the least, only remarkable part was the variety

Banh xeo #112

Best banh xeo ever !! 112 on the menu. It's was fresh and crispy. Very filling Definitely going back for more

Delicious food, kind service…read more Food: I came here with my family of 5 and got to try the bun and pho dac biet. The pho broth was very rich, and the noodles were just right. The tendon came on the side for an $8 charge, and was a bit more tough than normal, but I loved my pho. The bun that I tried was great, as were the rolls. Service: kind service. The app on the QR code menu was a little confusing of whether I had to add certain ingredients or not, but the food was served quickly. Ambiance: fine. I would recommend pho xyclo and go there again.

I couldn't even pull it easily with chopsticks. I thought I would cry seeing all the happy looking customers around. Most of them ordered soups. My partner's pho looked quite good, but, as he put it, "the broth was below average, the rest of the ingredients were average." Regarding my Hủ Tiếu Xào Quảng Đông/Guangdong-style Stir-fried Rice Noodles (number 606 on the menu), I ate all the broccoli. The shrimp were small and lime juice helped. I totally don't appreciate flower-shaped carrots (didn't eat them, plus celery as well), and the worst, the blob of noodles had no taste whatsoever. For me, it was simply a disappointing experience, but the menu is extensive, and it certainly does not lack a variety of delicious dishes.

It's spacious, airy and clean - the prices were reasonable unlike other spots. We ordered the chicken pho, the pork chop rice and a vermicelli. The broths had a strong depth of flavour with a great umami punch. The portions were good for the price point... the protein was a little on the smaller side but not the worst. The best part... the washrooms were clean! There were 3-4 stalls and the one I used, wasn't moonlighting as a bathroom... win!! Service was good, friendly and kind... they didn't check in on us but they did have a couple of large tables so maybe that's why they were busier. We're adding this to the list and we'd recommend dropping in! It's a bit off the beaten path but plenty of parking. Sorry no photos, too busy trying to keep the munchkins fed and happy.

I would like to share some honest feedback from my recent visit…read more When I ordered the bún riêu, the broth didn't really have the signature bún riêu flavor. The bò kho served with bread would taste much better if the broth were thicker. Adding a little cornstarch to create a richer, more stew-like consistency would make it perfect for dipping bread. Another concern is that the bowls, spoons, and cups all had a very strong dish soap smell. It seems like the dish soap wasn't rinsed off completely before putting the dishes into the dishwasher, and the detergent smell stayed on them. This can be harmful to customers' health and also makes the food less enjoyable. The restaurant itself is clean, and the service is very good. My only issue is the strong dish-soap smell on the utensils and dishes -- it really takes away my appetite.

Being Hmong, I try not to be bias, "only Vietnamese people can cook pho! The restaurant started from a Vietnamese owner." Pho Bowl Vietnamese Restaurant I have not had pho in this area of Canada, so I decided to try Pho Bowl. The reviews said this was a good spot. Really? Are you people from mars? How can you say this pho broth is good? It's not even bone broth like it should be. Let me start, we walked in and they gave us an order slip. What? Do I fill it out? Don't expect a big tip. I filled it out. Waited for service. Confused. We eventually got our food. Stop! Their was a long white hair in our food. Nasty. Really. How can you miss it. Nasty. Someone is loosing hair? Old hair. Sorry. You should know better. They did not even remove the item or give us credit. Wow. Your tip is really going to look bad. The pho? I tasted the broth and it was not good at all. For starters, they gave me pork meat. Which is a no no. I know the difference. I ordered the Pho special, I know what I'm expecting. Pho Dac Biet taste better than this. This was clearly a fake pho special. Bad broth. Wrong meat. Sorry. This was a disaster. I had so much high hopes. How can people say their pho was the best in Canada? Wtf? Please. Dumpster fire. $5 tip from $70 bill. That's the kind of service I got. Next to nothing. I paid myself because I took my own order. The only positive is the amount of pho in their extra large. Otherwise this place has gone down. They maybe very good at one time but for sure they are lost. Sell. Update and purge workers. The pho presentation is on par but the broth needs fixing. Don't go cheap on the broth! The place is clean. They need help.
