I actually came in today with my boyfriend to eat. We were actually the only ones eating when we came in. The staff seemed nice and we were seated immediately. For appetizer we ordered the Vietnamese chicken wings, and Pho Dac Biet and the shaken beef with rice. When we saw the chicken wing being placed on the table I was a little disappointed. To me it literally looked like the cooks fried the chicken wings and squirted some fish sauce from the bottle that you can get from an Asian store. It did not taste like they tossed the some sort sauce in the chicken, or even marinated in it either. I don't think it was the traditional fish sauce that you have to make but it tasted like the fish sauce STRAIGHT from the bottle. The sauce did not stick to the wings, it just dripped to the plate. I even tried the fish sauce by itself and it tasted like its from the bottle. I'm just EXTREMELY upset because the food is so over priced and the quality of the food comes to your table like that. For the Pho, I would say the broth is average I guess...I mean I tasted MUCH better broth than Pho 544. There was not a strong pho taste to me, it some what tasted water down or they added too much water to the broth. However, the shaken beef was pretty good. It wasn't the best, but I would rank it the best food from what we ate. For the service, I guess they were okay. We also waited 10-15 mins for the waitress to fill up our waters. When we looked up to look for them they were either gone, or sitting behind the register. I just wish they were a little more attentive to their customers. read more

I was craving Pho and this place was the closest place to my work so a co-worker and I decided to check it out. I was sadly unimpressed:( To start, we ordered the spring rolls which were just ok, but the peanut dipping sauce was awful. It was rather lumpy and seemed to be missing a key ingredient. All together, the sauce flavor was just off. We both opted to dip our rolls into a mixture of soy sauce and siracha. We both ordered the brisket and meatball Pho. Everyone knows Pho is not Pho without the delicious mound of sides that you pile into the mix. They brought us lemons instead of limes and I had to REQUEST cilantro. Bad start. I wanted to get a quick review for all of the veggie Pho lovers out there. This one is seriously the best I've had. It's super flavorful with a abundance of perfectly cooked veggies. I've been here a total of 3 times and the consistency is spot on. We are in Dallas and convinced our friends to make the trek out with us to Murphy this weekend. Our friends from NYC previously surprised us and ordered from here for us for Christmas Eve, so we knew we had to give it a try in-person. Thanks to the warm weather, we sat outside safely and went after the lunch rush. We were the only customers there since it was 2pm. Every Vietnamese kid claims their mom's pho is the best. Well, let me tell you - Pho 544 is basically like eating my own mom's pho!!!!! My only regret is not ordering my own bowl. My friends and my partner didn't add anything else to the broth. I usually ask for a side of bottled fish sauce for my broth, but this was so good, there was no need! I wanted to try their Bo Ne, so I ordered that instead and jealously sipped my partner's pho bowl, haha! After not being able to travel to see my parents for a year, this hit the spot!! Thank you, Pho 544 for keeping us safe with outdoor dining / masks, and our bellies happy! We will def be back again! For the covid cautious like me: -staff wore masks; some even wore gloves -outdoor seating is plentiful and large; very spaced out -water/drinks/utensils served in disposable to-go cups. The vermicelli noodle was super dry and not fresh today like it's been sitting in the fridge or out. This place is the only Viet restaurant in Murphy, but there is one other on 544 in Wylie maybe less than 1/3 mile east of Pho 544. This place opened around the beginning of September, so a few weeks ago. Food: DH had spring rolls and pho; I had the Pho 544 pho dac biet special and DH had the Pho Tai Nam Gau. Their spring rolls came out pretty standard. The bean sprout/basil/cualantro plate that accompanied the pho was pretty generous for 2 person. DH said his was OK and I would say mine tasted OK, too. I've had Pho Que Hong on 14th and Jupiter and they both tasted just OK. I can't get too picky since this is Murphy after all, we've got slim pickings! Still doesn't beat the Garland pho restaurants- but who wants to drive 10 miles there?! But $10 for the special is pricey, but then again there is a lot of my chang ppl in this area. I really want to deduct 1 star for the tacky portable AC they have for the big space and high cieling. It was humid and stuffy af while I'm already eating a hot bowl of pho and they have one portable AC..?! We were the only ones eating at 2:30p this past Sunday minus the group of kitchen workers eating. Maybe they were being thrifty w the AC or it broke, either way they only had one blowing & it made me extremely temperamental. Service is decent. We were welcomed by what looks like the owner.. he seemed pretty chipper & hospitable & they got young English front-of-house staff. DH likes the place cuz he hates trekking around the metroplex when I have my Asian food cravings & this place is a mile from the house. Maybe we will come back and try the rice dishes. Y'all know I love Pho. Everywhere I go especially new pho place, I'll try pho. I guess I'm pho lover . Pho 545 just open by the house and I was so excited and ready to try it out. We ordered two pho special. Yum yum right! This is where the pho specialist come to analyzed their bowl. One tiny plate of veggie included about 20 straws of bean sprouts, 2 sawtooth cilantro, 2 halves lime, and 1 tiny branch of basil. Sawtooth has black spots on it Lime haha I pray to god that it will give me a few drop of juice pathetic Basil has black spot everywhere Water has 4 cubes of ice and by the time pho came out it's all melted. Bowl of pho critic: 3 tiny quarter size meatball like my thumb size. Beef half of it are fat yuck. Their nm is not good at all. Broth is like they make it a few hours ago. Overall, the amount of meat in there is very small compare to other Pho place. It's $9.95 y'all. It's bland and no taste. I asked, is this veggie plate for two bowl of pho or one. It's for two. I always get vegetarian pho with beef broth. I am not usually in love with the vegetable selection and tofu in other restaurants' veg pho. This place did a great job! The tofu is actually flavorful and there is a good variety of vegetables. The broth was really delicious, too. I did deduct one star for service. Very friendly and welcoming, but perhaps a little slow to get back to us. Also, we ordered spring rolls but never received them. Overall the food is great and I like the place in general. Best bahn mi in the area, as a broke college student I really appreciate being able to get full on a great sandwich for only 4.99. The pork had an amazing flavor and was cooked to perfection. Way better than the other restaurants who charge 8$ for a crappy sandwich. I also ordered a Thai tea , the only reason I'm not giving the full 5 star is because the boba in the tai tea was a really nasty orange boba that was not fully cooked. My wife and I placed an order of Beef Pho for take out and was asked if we wanted a regular or large. We both ordered large and was charged for a large but there was nothing large about it at all. We eat at many Vietnamese restaurants and this was by far the smallest portion we had ever received. There were only a few pieces of meat and a small portion of noodles. I am normally full by eating a large Pho bowl and with extra left over. This time I was needing more and I even ate spring rolls and egg rolls, both which were bland. Checked out this place today with a friend while his car was getting serviced. Not bad for my first experience. I only tried the grilled pork vermicelli (friend got the same). The pork was really good and made fresh. Portions were enough and the service was exceptional. I'll try the pho next time and follow up on this review. My go to place for Pho.... we have some pretty good places that have been popping up, and I eat Pho pretty often down in Dallas near where I work... and this is (hands down) my favorite place. We've tried tons of the non-soup items on the menu, and we have not been disappointed-- We never pass up getting one extra order of the fried rice to share --- very good (and was recently the only comfort food my daughter wanted after a minor surgery once she could eat). Shaking beef with rice is excellent. Tender beef, perfectly cooked. The flavor is different than how we made at home but is just equally good. Love this place! Pho is top notch and the portions are HUGE! Took my two teenage sons (aka bottomless pits) there and both tapped out and had to get to go containers. Worth the drive and hype from North Dallas to Murphy. This is by far my most favorite Vietnamese restaurant and I have been to many. I've come to learn over the last year just how much I love Pho - Vietnamese food. My favorite location is a ways from my home so I set out to discover a closer location. Luckily I found Pho 544 which is minutes from my house. My dish of choice is the Beef Pho; which has three different beef items: Rare filet, Brisket, and Meatballs in soup with rice noodles served with a side of sprouts, basil, jalapenos, and lime. Service here is excellent, food is really good. I'm a little disappointed in the amount of fat left in the beef Pho compared to other places I've eaten it but it's still absolutely delicious. If not for my experience with so much fat left in the Pho id give this place a solid 5 stars. Give them a try. The food is really good and the owner is extremely courteous and friendly. read more
