This place was AWFUL. With so many pho places around 120th, I suggest taking the drive up rather than eat here. We started with spring rolls - the rice poet was tough and the peanut sauce really had an impact on us...it was gel like and just didn't taste...right. The pho was missing flavor in the broth and honestly wasn't at all what we were expecting. The service itself was okay-they sat us right away but it took a few minutes to get our order. Ok. Ok. I have never heard of or even tried Pho before. But, based on all the reviews all over and all the talk from people I have met, I thought PHO-Sure I would simply love it. Well, my experience is most likely because I had no idea what to expect or what to order or to eat. So bare with me :) We entered and the place was empty, it was early on a Friday, around 11:00 so we were beating the lunch rush. The first thing I noticed was a slight smell... kind of like the smell of stagnate mop water... we were so hungry we kind of ignored it, and after a minute it seemed gone. I say SEEMED, because as we were seated, a man walks in and yells " EW IT STINKS IN HERE" and walks out. So, I ordered spring rolls. You know , but I don't know, that all spring rolls are NOT made the same. So, I expected nice and crunchy spring rolls.... they brought out some bowls with some broth stuff in them. One had peanuts on top of it, the other two were like a clearer broth with shredded carrots floating in them. We didn't know what they were for.... at first I thought we should pick them up and drink them... but we didn't....because we didn't know what we were doing. LOL. Then out came this plate that had two, um, rolls on them. These were our spring rolls, they were not all crunchy like I knew in my life, they were like a white outer cover with shrimp and pork inside... it kind of tasted like if you rolled rice out into a wrap to put around the food. It was ok. We dipped it in that peanut sauce stuff and it was ok. I can't recall the name of what we ordered. I just know that I ordered something with Steak and Chicken in it, with a bunch of noodles on a bed of lettuce.... I ended up pouring the 'Carrot Sauce" onto my food, as it was sweet and I liked it! It was a lot of food, and I ended up picking out all the steak and chicken.... Once we were done we sat there. And we sat there. And sat there. Finally I asked if I should go to the front to get my check, and he said yes, and then brought me my check. I get the feeling that they don't pay a lot of attention to the questions you are asking them. The service was a dud, we told him it was our first time, and he said, "You want what?". LOL. Ohhhh. Its all good, we'll read the descriptions and wing it. My friends tell me we need to go with them when they go to the one by their house so that they make sure we order the good stuff and have a better experience. Maybe.. First pho restaurant we tried after moving to the area a month ago and we have tried several others since, but we haven't found anything better. The broth is what makes the pho here. It is full of flavor and depth. The meat is tender and thinly sliced and the portion is generous and very inexpensive. This place blew any Boulder pho place out of the water. Not that that says too much, but still it was really tasty. This is my favorite pho that I've found in CO so far. Very authentic and the flavors were just right. This has renewed my sense of hope that there is good asian food hidden throughout Colorado. Ah man I seriously love this place, I come in all the time for phō and boba and it's absolutely awesome. They revamped the atmosphere here and it feels so welcoming and nice all the time. Ok so the pho isn't as good as my other place but they have the sandwich in the appetizer section that is A-Mazing!! I believe it's called a bánh mì sandwich? Came here because I saw great reviews for it with friends. The Pho tastes a lot better than Pho Duy and my friends that got the bun (vermicelli) seemed to really enjoy their food. I also got a mango boba, which was really good. The boba seemed a little undercooked though. Like most Asian restaurants, you can expect very little greetings and talking with the servers. From the reviews, my colleague and I chose this place as a quick lunch pickup. I placed the takeout order over the phone and it was ready when I arrived. Looking back, I probably should have opted for the pho since it seems like that is the star in past Yelp reviews. but I had already had pho a couple days ago and take-out pho really is the messiest thing to eat outside of greasy BBQ. I chose the pork banh mi, a side of spring rolls, and a taro slush with boba. I wrongfully assumed that the pork would equal Hong Kong-style BBQ pork, and I was a little sad that the bread was a bit stale, and there were no jalapenos in the banh mi. This was by far the best Vietnamese food I have had. The egg rolls and wontons were out of this world.

So good. I don't even know what else to say. It's also a short walk from my place and I will make a habit of this. We shared the Bahn Mi with pork.. it needed a bit more veggies, some cilantro and jalapeños but next time I will just ask for it! We also had noodle bowls & they were delicious; one combo and one with beef. It was enough for 2 or 3 meals.. Giant portions and good prices. Everyone was super friendly. Use to come here all the time for lunch and it was always good. I Brought 6 friends in to eat dinner last night and it turned out to be a major disappointment. If your not going to give decent service or decent portions of noodles after a certain time of night you should just close your doors. After reading some reviews I've noticed others feel the same about your rude attitudes and it seems to have gotten worse over the past year or so. My husband and I love this Pho... and so do our children! It is always delicious with lots of goodies to add to your bowl. The owners are very friendly and hard working.
