Overall: Not fully what I expected for hotpot (more details below) but they give generous meat portions and good service. Would come to back to try their Korean dishes but would prefer to go elsewhere for hotpot unless a friend has a strong preference for this place. Food Cuisine: I was expecting either Korean hotpot (Jeongol) or Korean Chinese fusion because of it being a Korean restaurant and their main selling point - AYCE hotpot. It seemed like they tried to do something between regular Chinese hotpot (but without the in-your-face bold broth flavors) and Japanese shabu shabu (but minus the ponzu and simple, straightforward flavors) with some side Korean kimchi. They also had some typical Korean dishes and lots of alcohol options. The broth: None of the four broths we tried had a wow factor. Maybe the mushroom was the one to try. -Bulgogi is mainly salty and not well flavored. I don't taste any reminisce of a bulgogi flavor. My partner thought it was basic but he thoroughly enjoyed it. -Miso was good but it's hard to get that wrong. -Spicy Thai tomato flavor was okay. -Yuzu jalapeno was also okay but it was novel. It reminded me of a lighter and less rich version of Tom kha soup with yuzu and jalapeno instead of lime, lemongrass, galangal, and chili. The meats: Generous portions or maybe they're good at gauging the right portion for the number of people. We only had to make one meat order (lamb, pork belly, tripe, beef) during our order for a group of four and we ate every bit of it. The hotpot ingredients in the back: A decent variety of veggies, mushrooms, meat/seafood balls, seafood, and noodles. All seemed to be washed well and fresh. The sauce bar: Decent selection. A couple of interesting, not-so-typical sauces and mostly typical hotpot sauces. Service: Every table has a service button and an ordering tablet so you don't have to wave anyone down. Very nice staff who stays on top of maintaining the food and area. Space: Lots of seating. Leg room is not great for tall people unless you sit on the ends. Personal Note: Group vote - half of us liked the hotpot and would come back for the hotpot here and the other half of us were not into the broths and would prefer to do hotpot elsewhere. Note: The half that would not come back are the ones who grew up eating hotpot in the US and in Asia (we've tried Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese style hotpots), so that might make us two more critical with higher expectations. read more

I thought the broths would be more Korean based flavors but they were general hotpot broths so nothing special. The broth for me was bland - def should add more salt or fish sauce to the soup. I think we came later so the veggies selection was sad and old. The meat selection was pretty good. Kinda pricey for what it was so pick a tier that works for you. The dessert at the end was probably my favorite. The lychee jelly with the blueberries was really delicious and I would've loved another bowl of it. The name of this restaurant is Sorry Umma Hot Pot and, as I found out, there is nothing to be sorry about at this restaurant. Walking into the set of doors, and then another set of doors, I was greeted by my friends and the waitress. Our waitress was a young lady who was very friendly and cordial. After handing us the menu, she left so we can talk and decide what we want to eat. Looking at the menu, I knew exactly what I wanted: hot pot! Yes, it was a very hot day, in the high 90s, but inside this nice air conditioned, well-lit, bright, and clean restaurant, I felt hot pot was the dish I want to eat. Our table top, which was very clean, had six stoves to cook our individual pot for our meal. Although this restaurant is a hot pot place, they also offer other menu choices for diners who want to explore a different eating experience and not just the hot pot. (See photos for their other options.) The three friends decided on the hot pot while the husband decided on another item from another menu. After trying a small taste of each broth (five choices), I decided to try cream yuzu jalapeño as my first broth. We also chose four types of meat: pork belly, brisket, tri-tip, and culottes meat. The three of us barely finished this plate full of meats! While the broth was heating up, the two friends and I went to get options to add in each of our pots. So many options to add to the pot! Spinach, bok choy, cabbage, broccoli, mushrooms, taro, potatoes, bean sprouts, corn, and fresh eggs were among the options for you to add in your broth. There was another separate area where you can make your own dipping sauces including peanut, chili, and soy sauce. We were also treated to their seafood pancake. The pancake was filled with a lot of green onions, and inside of the pancake had shrimp, scallops, and squid. It was very tasty, and the potion for the four of us to share and eat was perfect. After finishing my first pot, I decided to try the treok-bokki broth next. This broth was a little bit spicy, but once I added my ingredients of shrimp, spinach, bok choy, armillaria mellea mushrooms, slices of taros, and the remaining meats, the broth and its added contents were delicious! Lots of flavors to explore to and eat. I would say that this second pot was even better than the first pot. I was still dreaming about this restaurant the day after I ate there. I can't wait to go back with my DHHA group and introduce them to this wonderful eating experience I had there. If you are in the area or are nearby and want something yummy for your tummy, I highly recommend Sorry Umma to satisfy your hunger pangs. And remember: there is nothing to be "Sorry" about when you eat here. read more

Are there fries here? There is not, because this is a hot pot place, focused potentially on convenience not quality. Woof that was tough to say. This is a new spot -- and I would hope that they work out their kinks but I'm not sure how to give the feedback other than online. There's literally no staff. We didn't see any kitchen staff, just 1 lone waiter (and then 1 lone waitress). That individual was polite and quiet, but really only came over to show us how the menu ordering work, and drop off plates of food as well as the check. We were left on our own otherwise. Food-wise, the selections are limited. There are less than 10 broths available, and less than 10 kinds of meat. It is not possible to order a second round of lamb. Taste-wise, I found the broth to be pretty watery, but had more flavor as it cooked down. Needless to say though we did not ask for any refills. Again it's probably an okay spot if you want quick and easy hot pot. We were hoping for more at $34.99 per person. read more

I will warn that some of the higher priced meats are only available to order on the first order so keep that in mind. This is the fourth hot pot place we've been to in the Denver area- and it has to be our favorite so far. For $34.99 at dinner, you get your choice of broth, unlimited freshly cut meats and access to the side bar and sauces. We tried a couple of their broths so far and they were great. They also top up your hot pot with actual soup instead of just plain broth. Main gripe is that there are no complimentary appetizers or sides in the fridge. Our favorite place in Georgia offered sides like Takoyaki, spring rolls and popcorn chicken. They do sell it though. Also we noticed from some of the pictures that there is Nori Nori(an all you can eat restaurant in the Atlanta area) labeling. There is no relation but apparently they took over an existing restaurant that was there before. read more

This is a decent hot pot place but there are better in the Denver area. They give u set pricing for different selections of which the main difference is the selection of meats. We both got the $29 since it already included the meats we wanted, which was chicken and brisket but they also had 2 pork choices. I chose the bulgogi broth which had a lot of flavor. Then they allow you to choose your own mix of veggies, other sauces and fish balls and tofu. Overall a very good selection of other ingredients to put into the pot. Service was good. They also gave us a plate of tteok bokki which had a smoky charred flavor on the top of the cheese which was different and we both weren't too fond of it. A low quality version of existing hot pot places in the Denver. The only reason one would think this is a high quality place is if they have never been to asian hot pot before. There is nothing inherently korean about this place, the hot pot is pretty generic, and the broths lack flavor. Seems like it is a made from a powder rather than from actual stock, and for about $44 per person after tax/tip I'd expect more. The veggies were wilting, and the shrimp was not fresh. I'd implore you to try other hot pot places in Denver, as this is rather lacking in quality and flavor. Side note I don't understand how this restaurant is korean, hot pot is not a korean cuisine - It is chinese. The rice bowl dishes had french fries in them... soo uhhh yeah. read more

Absolutely love this new hot pot restaurant -- and what a great addition to Northern Denver that's lacking places like this! The broth flavors are on point. The spicy Korean Tteok-bokki -- alone or mixed 1/2 and 1/2 with the bulgogi -- is the way to go! There's also an extensive sauce bar for you to spice it up as much as you like. The all-you-can-eat buffet is fantastic, featuring everything from bok choi, to noodles, to rice and fish cakes (yes!), to tofu, to baby squid, to raw egg you can crack into your boiling pot. Some really great options. Of the meats, I highly recommend the beef tongue! Because it's sliced cold/thin, I promise it doesn't have a strange texture -- but cooks really soft and delicious! There are lots of other beef, pork, and chicken options too, of course. Even lamb! Great service, lovely staff, super affordable, really cute vibe -- a great spot for a date or a group. read more

Truly was so disappointed in this place. I wanted to like it so much. Once we entered there was no real greetings, we were just told where to sit. We ordered the spicy miso and tasted zero miso. The vegetables were all dying and looked like it had been sitting out for days. We went to grab one bowl of rice and the rice was old and stale. I was so disappointed in the whole hotpot itself, I decided to order kimchi pancakes and it was soggy AND burnt. I don't know how a pancake could be burnt but still soggy. So excited to try this new hotpot place. Overa, it's a good experience. I really like their broths, really light and not oily like other Chinese hotpot places. Tho my topokki broth is little sweet to me, my friend got bulgogi broth and it was perfect. They have high quality meats, my favorite are beef tongue and short rib. Veggie is fresh too. We were in town acclimating for a ski trip and stopped for lunch here after checking out the nearby Hmart. I had the mushroom broth, kids had miso, husband had bulgogi and we all loved it. We've lived on west and east coasts and have had hot pot/korean many times and this is probably one of our favorites. The meats were very good quality, the restaurant was impeccably clean (even the vegetable/noodle/sauce bar which usually is a mess in other restaurants) and to top it off, our waitress was so friendly and attentive. At one point my son splashed himself when he dropped his noodles in the broth. He was fine as it wasn't much splash but we were immediately offered burn cream/bandaids. He didn't need it but it was just very thoughtful of our waitress. Post ski trip my husband wanted to return for lunch here before heading to the airport. We all agreed we would have if we weren't concerned about overeating and then getting on a flight. We have annual ski trips out here so we will definitely be back! read more

The food was amazing! We ordered the pork belly, rib eye and brisket meat. All of the vegetables and sides were fresh. The different kinds of noodles were good. We visited last Friday night and got seated right away, after that our service was so slow and no drinks or even a menu offered. The restaurant was not full at any point in the time we were there. I saw the menu was small before I visited but at the restaurant it only got smaller as many things at the add in and sauce bar were out, asked if they would be refilled and they said yes but they were not even though we kept checking. I recently took my kids (ages 10, 8, and 6) out for a special lunch on a weekday, and we were so pleasantly surprised by the quality, service, atmosphere, and, above all, the value. As a mom of three, eating out can be outrageously expensive, so finding a place with fresh vegetables, meat, seafood, and sauces for $6.99 for my two youngest and $10.99 for my oldest was an amazing deal. They LOVED being in control of the heat level of their soup and the ingredients they added. I had bowl after bowl of their kimchi from the sauce bar and enjoyed trying different ingredients in my soup to see what I liked best. The service was friendly, and they were great with the kids, letting them try the broth options before they settled on one. A month ago i was looking for jobs and the manager acted like he was hiring me, telling me to come in the next week. he never gave me a time of when to come in and i call the day before and he tells me to wait on another employees response who had been working there already. He said he "didnt want to fire her" for no reason. Why fire someone to hire someone new? Their management is so bad, he ghosted me a whole month, never reached out to me. And little did you know, he contacts me the day before valentines because he had no workers, and wanted to just throw me on the floor with no proper training. I tell him i cannot come in as i already have a job at this time at a different restaurant and i had been scheduled to work at that location for valentines day. He tells me okay, and the next days he asks me to come in on wednesday for training, i agree but had to reschedule due to transportation issues. I come in on monday at 11am because that was the rescheduled day for training. next thing you know i walk in and he starts yelling at me and dropping F bombs at me because i had to reschedule that one time. And tells me that i was desperate looking for a job and that i was ungrateful that he had offered me one and im the one rescheduling my time. which is ironic because he was the one that ghosted me a whole month when he had told me i could start there. I dont know why i even gave this place a try. For those wondering and wanting to work here, please dont. I can tell with this personality he abuses his staff. If i wasnt even officially employed just yet, just imagine what he says or does to his official employees. read more

THE MOST DISGUSTING FILTHY RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. So unfortunate that this place is new and they do not value cleanliness one bit. My friend and I went to this restaurant after hearing great things about it however after just sitting for 15 minutes and seeing disgusting unsanitary things back to back we decided to leave and not eat anything. First off, my water cup was filthy. There was a dried up white substance on the outer rim of the cup. The plates all had leftover crusty food on it. ALL of the utensils provided on every had gunked up leftover food on it (we looked at multiple tables). The vegetables were clearly not washed (i found dirt and what looks like a worm possibly on multiple different vegetables). I found a vegetable with mold on it. The meat had dark spots on it which clearly showed it was old and kept at unsafe temperatures. I found a hair in my broth and on a plate of food even though my friend both had our hair up the whole time we were in the restaurant so it definitely wasn't ours. We were disgusted and disappointed to say the least. We did not eat after we found all this and ended up walking out. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I really hope the FDA pays a visit to them soon before anyone else gets sick. I am SORRY that Sorry Umma is NASTY!! read more

It was really clean inside, all of the produce was very fresh, and the service was quick! The server, who I think was also the owner, was extremely nice and attentive. Awesome! I came here with my wife for my birthday and loved everything! The ingredient wall departs from other hot pot spots as you're able to personally pick out the veg you'd like instead of cluttering your table with overpriced small portions. Everything is fresh and you can tell handled with care. The owner was happy to help us with any questions. This is a newer restaurant ironing out a few kinks but the best hot pot I've had.
