We're told by the server that their not taking orders even though there's still 14 minutes before closing. We made it clear what we came here for (the Banh Mi Cao Lau sandwiches!) but we're still told the kitchen was closed. We've been fans of this pho place for a couple of years now so here's the breakdown on this place: We usually order the grilled pork rolls and the combination pho bowls with all the meats including the tripe. The grilled pork rolls are good. This is the first pho place we've been to that sells this type of roll. The sauce that comes with the rolls are something we've never seen before either. It's not a peanut sauce and it's not just a flat liquid sauce. It's a chunky authentic sauce that has bits of the pork rolls in it. It's good. The broth of the pho warrants a 3 stars. They give you a good amount of meat and tripe. The noodles are fresh and not crumbly. The sides (bean sprouts, jalapenos, thai basil leaves, and lime) are given in a good amount. The condiments (fish sauce, sriracha hot sauce, and hoisin sauce) are all available to you on the table. If you have a little one, they provide you with an extra bowl and scissors so you can cut the pho noodles. As for the grill side, we had the lemon grass pork with rice. We give it 4 stars for being tasty and not dry like some places. The service/cleanliness is also 4 stars. You order at the counter and they are quick to serve you and ask you frequently if you need anything else. The restaurant and bathroom are very clean and doesn't smell funky like other places. They do sell boba drinks but they're all on ice and not blended. That's the only down side to this place. I wish they would blend their boba drinks! Overall, this place is a great place for lunch or dinner if ever you're in the area. read more

I give this place 5-stars because it's the best Pho "dining experience" around. If you're a hardcore pho eater this is not for you. Unlike other Pho places, it's has a nice modern interior, simple yet elegant. Extremely clean. You can actually bring a date here! Friendly and helpful staff. It's not super authentic like pho-75/cafeteria style places, but it's a LOT nicer, cleaner, friendlier (and still cheap). Get the #1! I'm a big fan of this restaurant. It's a good price for pho, $6.50 for a small bowl with everything. I went to a pho joint in Little Rock, AR once and they charged $7 for a small bowl, you get to pick 2 meats, and it's a $1 per any extra meat. So after that experience I definitely appreciate this restaurant a lot more. This place is fantastic! Every time my wife and I order food to go we receive the best customer service either of us have had in a take out service ever! The owner is extremely personable and very kind. The food is excellent and always hits the spot! Our favorites are the Thit heo nuong sa (Grilled Lemongrass Pork), and the Pho. Had lunch here in early 6/2018 as part of a group of five. The staff was accommodating and service pleasant. The spring rolls were full of lettuce and little else. It supposed to be a family oriented environment. Good thing my child wasn't there to experience this. When we brought the food back home they we were missing my child order. They were about to close therefore no time was left so I had to give my order to my child not to starve. We then called and informed them. They didn't even gave us an apology, very poor customer service like they didn't care. When we open our orders it wasn't very well presented. They put our chicken screw appetizer in an aluminum foil half way open. The chicken didn't even taste like chicken and tasted very bland and dry. Go here!! I was so happy to see that a Vietnamese place has opened up in Gaithersburg and I don't have to go to Rockville. This restaurant is very nicely decorated with gorgeous pics of various veggies and spices on the wall. Very sophisticated and tasteful. The rest of the dining room is decorated in warm orange tones and very clean. There was actually one table with a sign on it that warned of a wobbly leg and to sit at another table. How thoughtful! The food was fantastic!! Their grilled meat rolls are wrapped in that clear, thin rice wrapper. They are filled with lettuce, mint, pork and a small rolled up crispy wrapper. The grilled lemon chicken and grilled sesame beef dishes are as good, if not better, as other places I've had it. So good and plentiful, served over noodles and with veggies. I read the previous review and was also there this day and would just like to say that this wasn't at all what I witnessed. There was a clear back up in the kitchen this day and the two servers that I witnessed were doing the very best they could. I saw them running back and forth between the kitchen and the front trying to manage it all. The gentlemen in the above review only added ignorance to the situation. The lady he is talking about was very rude given that it was clear that the workers in the front had nothing to do with how long the soups were taking. Other customers and I assured the two workers that we recognized they were doing the best they could. I have brought my family to this restaurant for many years and it is always a great experience! We've been here now a handful of times and are loving it! The owner as well as employees are very friendly and accommodating. Came here shortly after one of the latest snow storms and I have to say that pho has to be one of the best dishes to have in cold snowy weather!! Order and pay at the counter, they bring the food to you. The pho is delicious but I'm mostly in love with the grilled dishes served here. I highly recommend the grilled sesame beef dish. It packs a lot of flavor. Plus the grill dishes are pretty filling and I've been able to take home leftovers every time. As far as rolls, I'd stick with the spring rolls. So the food here is decent but we found a new favorite place (Pho Chi) after we went here one night (8:30) pm and were turned away! The staff working said the kitchen is closed and they couldn't seven us. The sign on the door reads the restaurant is open until 9pm. They should adhere to this time or switch the times. People eating saw that we were denied food and were very upset recommending we find another regular spot for Pho, so we did. Thank anyway but you just lost regular customers. Past experiences with this restaurant have been very positive. However, I recently ordered through DoorDash to practice social distancing during the corona outbreak, and the order arrived with items missing. When I called the restaurant to request missing items, I was told I had to come in and pick them up. We eventually resolved the issue through DoorDash and got the missing items delivered. They added a little extra to the order, which was nice, but I would have appreciated a better response to my initial complaint. Pho & Grill is a hip little Vietnamese spot that just opened in Gaithersburg. It is casual and the service is very friendly. The menu is simple but absolutely delicious! Don't leave without trying the Grilled Meat roll. It's similar to a summer roll with veggies, herbs and noodles inside but also has a cripsy pork roll type of thing in the middle. It is without a doubt my favorite thing on the menu. I love Vietnamese food and I'm glad that Pho & Grill is offering something to tempt my taste buds. read more

Went here for the umpteenth time yesterday, and love, love, love them!! I went to another similar place recently and regreted not going here! I tried the chicken pho for the first time and it was delish!! I was getting a head cold and it was just what I needed to feel better! I also got some to go stuff and I ordered the wrong thing, when I realized, I went up and changed it, they were more than gracious and changed my order no problem!! No attitude and no probs. The girl who helped me has been there for a while and for good reason she has great customer service and kind demeanor. The food is always very good, fresh and delivered promptly. The restaurant is clean and the service staff are friendly. The only drawback for me, is when eating the soup, the spoons given with the soup have a strong bleach smell. Trading in the spoon for another seems to help. read more

I love the concept. Order, pay and they bring it out to you. The waitresses are nice and polite. I first came here when it first opened and I must admit... It was the worse pho for the dollar I ever paid for. It was just water and overpriced. However I came back 5 more times to make sure it wasnt a one time thing and its slowly improving. The pho has some flavor but i see more noodles than meat. I love how they have bubble tea and a vegetarian menu as well. They rice dishes need improvement as well. I cant recall if its com tam or not but usually vietnamese restaurants serve com tam which is broken rice. The rice was dry lacked presentation and taste. However i have to say best nem nuong around. We visit Pho & Grill on early Sunday evening of 10/21/2012. After we walk in the place, we didn't get to greet by anyone, the place was about half full. When we order, she suggested they don't serve spicy food. What kind of Vietnamese Pho joint has no spicy soup?! We order #4 Beef Soup and the Chef's Special Seafood Noodle; when food came, portion was fine, but meat was tasteless and stuck together, beef was cut too thick, shrimps were over cook and dried after cook over the grill/fryer, and noodles get clumpy together. It is not really tasty compare to other Pho places in the area. For service wise, there were no service whatsoever; they weren't that busy, but no water refill till we took our glasses to the counter for more water. It wasn't anything very cheap; in fact, for the price you paid, you can get way better food and services from other Pho restaurants. Unless you are very craving for Pho; otherwise, I don't recommend you to visit there. read more

Cheapo eats alert! Walk away full and satisfied under $10. The lady and I frequent here since they've opened because it's solid Vietnamese food. There's no need to drive to seven corners, if you know what I mean. This place is a very casual setting, with contemporary decor. There's no hostess to meet and greet, however the servers greet like a normal human being. Your first step when you get here, walk right up to the counter, look at the menu, and order your food. Pick a table, plug the number in the holster, and wait for the goodness. The wife really enjoys the lemongrass pork. You get the option for rice or vermicelli noodles. The marinade is delicious and beats out the other local spots in the area. In addition, they give you two nice slabs of it over the carb of choice. The vermicelli actually comes out warm and when it arrives. Of course it's your preference, but I usually pour all the nuoc nam over the dish. The other option is you can get it with delicious crispy spring rolls too and you get two! and a slab of pork. Other options are chicken and beef, but pork is the best of the bunch. Recently, they've started serving banh mi sandwiches. Of course I had to try one and i was not too impressed. The sandwich was kind of dry and the meats and flavors did not get me jumping. Oh, and the pho. If you're craving it, this should satisfy your shakings and desires, but I've had better as the broth isn't as robust as I think it should be. Lastly, I do not recommend the bubble tea. Well, get it without the tapioca bobas. They're underdone and by far not even close to good.
