Tried the meatball Pho, it was really good, the server's were very fast and attentive. The background music was nice. I would come back to this place.

Pho combination, Pho is good, price cost $13.99. I don't mind for the price. But they don't put much meat as price cost. They put a few meat!!! I'm not happy about that. I was a-bit hungry, I forgot to take pictures how they put meat in noodles. I go this place because I want to try something different. I recommend pho 75 is the best pho Place, large blow of pho cost $10.95, they put a lot of meat.

Family own restaurant, quite casual style - nothing is fancy but thier food is always good. Looks small and little old dining room but it's very clean and organize well. Service isn't very formal but that's fine, feel like home cook, not too long to wait for food. Thier beef dish is very nice. price and portion of food are reasonable. Too bad their menu is quite limited if you compare to another Vietnamese restaurant around Silver Spring, MD area. Still has enough good choices for picking and trying, though!!! There are many kinds of Pho (Noodle), but not a lot of vermicelli bowls, rice dishes, appetizers, drinks - no Vietnamese sandwiches style (Banh mi) here. p.s. Nice spot, easy to get there and find parking.

I called at 8:15 not even 8:20 and they don't answer at all. I arrive to the restaurant and it was 8:21 and they're closed. How are you closed but everywhere displays the same times? I just wanted a to go order of pho. Unprofessional. Wont ever return.

    #17 pho ga
    Stuart M.

This unassuming pho place holds its own. I got the pho ga #17 with white chicken. The broth had nice balance, the sprouts, mint leaves, and jalapeno slices were fresh and appealing. The sauce selection allowed me to doctor the broth with added salt, and heat. I will say that the chicken is usually too firm whenever I order chicken pho, and this was the case again. But I noticed that dark meat chicken was an option, and I think I'll try that next time. I had good service, and the staff was friendly. There are lots of pho places in the area, but I wouldn't hesitate to use Pho An in the future.

Two beef pho #2 (small) and #25 beef tips. So flavorful

The place is a quiet restaurant tucked away in the corner of a strip mall and the service from beginning to end was very kind. The menu was borderline overwhelming because there were so many choices. You almost have to go in with a game plan. They have street food style cuisine, large plates, and a ton of options. The good news is that out of everything I tried, they were all delicious, so I don't know that there's a bad game plan to be made here. Everything was very well-balanced and had great depth of flavors. This is also the type of restaurant where when they say spicy, it means spicy, so just be forewarned. Awesome spot and would totally recommend if you're in the area.

I hope they keep the spice levels that way because it really keeps things authentic. The only thing I was missing was the little fermented baby crabs! We also ordered the basil chili crisp pork belly dish and the Pad Thai Supreme, and both were excellent. Portions were big enough that we had leftovers. Such a cute, clean restaurant with friendly service. I'm already addicted to the papaya salad and will definitely be coming back!

We were greeted and seated relatively quickly and looked over the menu at our table. We asked the waitress if they had fish cakes, since we saw pictures of them on Yelp from this place. She didn't say anything, just pointed at something completely different on the menu. My wife repeated "fish cakes," and she pointed at the chive cakes. It looks like they used to serve them and took them off. That's a simple question with a simple answer, but instead of just saying that, she pointed at a menu twice and made it feel like we were bothering her. We started with the larb chicken and it was good. Limey, strong fish sauce, a little spicy, good contrasting textures. All good things. It's also the only thing I took a picture of, since by that point the experience had started to sour. For entrees, my wife got the boat noodles and I got the krapow. I asked the server to confirm the chicken was ground and she said yes. It came out sliced. Turns out the ground chicken version is on the menu as Chop-Chop Basil, but I was unfamiliar with the menu. It was an easy thing for her to correct but she didn't. I didn't make a thing of it, but it was annoying. I only had a bite of the boat noodles, but it was good. Nice balance of savory with a touch of sweetness. The meatballs were soft and bouncy, the meat was tender, good textures all around. The krapow was very good, mix-up aside. I asked for Thai spicy and they delivered. Excellent flavor, very tender meat, not too sweet. Probably one of the better krapows I've had out here. The part that really soured it was overhearing the manager with another table. An elderly couple and a friend had asked for their vegetables cooked well done since they can't chew firm food. They sent it back saying it was still too firm. The manager came out and basically yelled at them, saying they'd already cooked it longer than usual and couldn't cook it any more, and that next time he'd just put it in a blender. The couple had been nothing but kind about the whole thing. The kitchen did end up cooking it longer, but he never came back out to check if it was actually satisfactory. Maybe that isn't required, but the whole thing read like he was annoyed with them. The food here is excellent, easily five stars on its own. I'm docking a star for service. It was rude how they spoke to the elderly customers, rude to point silently at a menu instead of just saying the fish cakes are gone, and frustrating to be told the meat was ground when it wasn't. I'm not sure I can go back and dine in because it felt like we were a nuisance the whole time. I'll probably do carry out from now on. The inside is small and quaint and it looks like it gets busy around dinner, so come early if you want a table.

This time around, we ordered pad thai, one dish with shrimp and one with beef, crabmeat fried rice, and the khao soy noodles. The khao soy was the perfect amount of spicy and the chicken pieces + fresh onions + crispy noodles added a nice texture to the richness of the broth. This order came literally 5 minutes after we placed it, with the rest of the food coming shortly after! I asked for spicy and it wasn't really that spicy. Good flavors all around though and decent portions. Pricing I guess was fine, ~$35 post-tax pre-tip. I didn't like that they have a lot of plastic and one-time use items - they gave us water in plastic cups, wooden one-time use chopsticks wrapped in plastic, paper plates if we wanted to share food I guess (I gave this back to them when they brought it over).
