I liked the small dining area. Simple in decor. The staff was very friendly. Even allowed us to stay at our table after we finished eating. Didn't feel rushed. Took our orderly promptly and refilled our water glasses (sometimes this doesn't happen at Asian establishments or you have refill your own) We ordered some pho dishes. Didn't expect the food to come out so quick. I ordered a smaller bowl. Need to get the bigger one next time. Glad the extra noodles weren't too expensive. The broth was very soothing. Finished it. The meats and free add ons were fresh and savory. The price was good (it wasn't like the irvine up charge im used to have back in SoCal). Worth it to check out. This pho spot is very convenient and near me and I always come here when I'm craving some pho. In my opinion the soup broth is better than any other pho spot I've tried around the area. I also really like their Thai tea. Food comes out pretty quickly too. However, this place can get really busy and seating is somewhat limited since it is a smaller space. The tables are also close to one another but I don't mind it. During my recent visits though, I've noticed the portion sizes have gone down?? Finally I found another good Vietnamese restaurant near my town. The food appearance and taste was very nice. I had a sampler appetizer platter, Vietnamese Shaking Beef with steamed rice, and grilled jumbo shrimp and crispy fried egg roll with rice noodle. Anyway, the dining room is quite tiny, and free parking is limited. It is rather better to avoid busy time like lunch or dinner. The service is ok, waiting time was not too bad, food came quickly more than I thought. But the staffs seem less friendly than other Vietnamese Restaurant I have visited. I went to the counter and the man who waited on me wasn't very patient or understanding. I ordered my pho with shrimp and chicken. And, an order of spring rolls. That came to $28 before tip. I proceeded to wait for my order. When it came out there was less than 1/2 the container filled with broth. This very nice woman told me the man ordered me a small serving. I told her that I wanted a large serving and could I pay the difference for more broth? She was a saint and she went back in the kitchen to get me more broth. Total came out to approximately $47. What's Hot - Quality. My noodle dish with lemongrass tofu and veggies was delicious. I enjoyed the flavor and the dish wasn't dry. Their shrimp spring rolls are delicious, as well. Their food isn't overly salty, as well. - Menu. There's something for everyone, even vegans. Their menu states their vegetarian options use vegetable broth. - Price. For the portions and quality, it's good value for money. - Location. Easy to find. It's in a small plaza amongst other shops and restaurants. The interior can be fairly tight. It's a decent space, but their tables and chairs cannot accommodate more than a party of 4. - Service. Pretty good. They gave me an estimated wait time of 15 minutes for our order. There is a small rack in front of their front desk, where you place your order, where they put their takeaway orders. Everything is packed tightly and neatly, which is very helpful, given that you may be transporting broth and dishes that are wrapped in saran wrap, as well. None of our food spilled. What's Not - Banh mi. The flavor of the banh mi was good, but my husband felt the sandwich was a little dry. There was no additional flavor to the sandwich and/or toppings, aside from the fillings. My husband added some sriracha sauce to the sandwich, which added some flavor and some moisture. To each their own, but just be aware, depending on your preference for sandwiches. - To go charge. The receipt showed that we were charged an additional fee, because we ordered takeaway. On the one hand, it makes sense, because there are additional containers and packaging required for takeaway. I appreciate that it was shown on the receipt. On the other hand, there are not many restaurants I have come across that charge for takeaway, and I was surprised of such charges. - Parking. It's a small plaza and there are parking spots available, but it can be difficult to find, depending on the day and time you're there. I love the location and it's really a overall great restaurant. However, I recently dined in and had one of the worst service I've ever experienced. The serve took our order and mind you, it's only myself and a friend, they came back and handed us the wrong order, to which they then had to remake both of our soups. Afterwards all was good but as I finishing my bowl and was chewing; I found a long metal WIRE in my mouth and was astonished. After bringing it to the serve's attention, he himself was beyond shocked and took it back with him. He offered to provide a new bowl, but at that point I already ate the previous one, let alone have already dealt with their various issues. Assuming he would compensate and provide a solution due to this unfortunate situation-- he played it off and didn't seem to care at all. I am a frequent visitor and have never dealt with such issues, to which I believe they went about it horribly and it brings about various concerns as to how they proceed following this encounter-- as it seems likely to happen again. Please be careful and inspect your bowls and plates. If management sees this-- reach out and deal accordingly as this is truly unacceptable and overall, disgusting. Been going to Pho Nom Nom for years! I would say they're definitely know for their banh mi but if you're dining in, opt for their pho. Service is quick but be aware it gets crazy packed on the weekends. They don't do reservations from what I remember so it's really a first come first serve. They also offer a few traditional Vietnamese desserts that are really tasty. So if you have room, I would recommend trying them as well. read more

One of the best pho places in the DMV area. Pho is perfectly balanced and doesn't leave you thirsting for water after drinking it. Banh mi is great with nicely balanced portions of meat and veg (try toasting it before you eat it for a crispy and flaky bread experience). Service is also great. It's just too bad that a couple of blemishes prevent this place from being one of the greats in my book: atrocious parking, portion and servicing size downsizing, and very slow and cramped pick up experience (likely due to the fact that they are really good). Pho is easily one of my favorite dishes, so I had to stop by and give this place a try. I ordered the seafood pho -- the broth was fantastic, but the fish tasted more like imitation, so I wouldn't recommend that particular bowl. That said, I'll definitely be back to try another one. Looking at the lines standing against the wall at Pho Nom Nom each weekend, I thought "what am I missing?" Is the food really worth standing on line? After getting there early on a Friday night recently, our party of four was seated without a wait. We eagerly awaited appetizers of Nem Nu'o'ng (grilled prok sausage with house sauce) and Tom Nu'o'ng cuon (grilled shrimp with lettuce and peanut sauce). Apps came quickly and they were flavorful. I normally never dress up my pho with condiments and finish the broth but I was not impressed with my bowl and had to add condiments so the flavor was more interesting. The broth has a very strong beef flavor and is pretty rich. I do wish that the meat quality was a bit better and that the eye round steak came more raw.
