I was craving a good pho for lunch, as it had been so long since I had it. I used Yelp to help me choose where to go since I was in Gaithersburg for an appointment. Pho Nom Nom was close and had decent reviews so off I went. I walked into a pleasant, smallish restaurant with soothing decor. Several tables and booths were occupied, so I took that as a good sign that people liked the food. The server, Ben, was attentive and helped me choose a pho: slices of round steak and meatballs. I ordered a large bowl but should have gotten a small. A robot delivered my order to the table with the help of Ben, which was a hoot. I have to say that the scent of the broth hit my nose first and it was heavenly. The accompaniments of lime, basil, bean sprouts and jalapeno slices were very fresh. I added a few modest squirts of sriracha sauce and got to eating. The round steak was a nice surprise ... steak in pho can be very chewy and this bowl had decently tender slices. I have to admit I wasn't a fan of the meatballs. They looked like half slices of a firm sausage (for comparison). They didn't taste bad, they just weren't my jam and I enjoyed the steak more. Next time I'd like to try the steak and brisket. Comfort food is filling so I took my leftovers home so I could have the pho for dinner (yay!). Of course, I had to end the meal with an iced Vietnamese coffee. Although the robot server freaks me out a bit, the human staff here are super friendly and helpful! One gentleman actually came out and helped my mom into the restaurant when she was on a walker. I have not tried the pho here but I really enjoyed the bun rieu and the com tam plate my mom ordered. My bun rieu had an ample amount of good quality crab meatballs, fried tofu, shrimp cake, and pork blood. I added extra peppers and asked for a little extra shrimp paste for my soup but that's my preference. I got my fix without having to spend all day cooking or driving all the way to Eden Center. I had a bite of the grilled pork chop with rice which was delicious and the fish sauce was actually to my liking here! So glad they opened right in Gaithersburg so close to home. read more

I've been here many, many times since my initial review and can comfortably they are consistent and high quality. My fav restaurant in Maryland. PROS * Excellent and strong iced coffee, especially impressive as they're *well* ahead of the 4 other shops within walking distance that sell coffee. * Good service, no issues getting served even when they're busy * No issues with parking, I've never had a problem getting served during the lunch rush. The banh mi dac biet was lacking in crunch and flavor due to soggy and dry vegetables. They also cut off one end on one side of our sandwich which was odd. I only have good things to say about this place! Let's start with the pho - absolutely fantastic. The broth was rich and aromatic, clearly simmered for hours to develop that deep, satisfying flavor. This review is based on a to go order. When I called this place the cashier on the phone was extremely nice! Excited to take my order. That was a great first impression for my first time coming here. I use to come to the pho spot that was here before so when I heard about Pho Nom Nom being here I thought I try it. And the reviews are great! The restaurant is clean and vibrant. If I had time I would have loved to eat in. The pho was good! I did the eye round steak. They portion was pretty decent for the price. I didn't extra meat on one bowl and it was $19 for the bowl. Not too bad. Flavor in the broth was good but I felt like it could have a little more flavorful. I felt like there could have been more onions and cilantro but they didn't put enough in the bowl. However when I dressed it up, I noticed a fruit fly in my bowl. Confused where it came I did some investigating and it came from the vinegar. I know this bc there was another dead fruit fly on the nozzle! Thankfully they got me another bowl, fine. But then we received our drink to go it was completely the wrong order. This place lives up to its name! Delicious, large portions of pho with excellent broth. Vietnamese coffee was excellent. Plenty of tables and it was easy to get a seat during lunch. The server we had didn't speak English very well so occasionally it was difficult to communicate. This is by far the best pho spot I've been to in this area and I've tried so many of them, including pho 75. It's in the same area as Brewsters and the floor & decor store. I came here on New Year's Day (bc honestly what's better on a cold day) and it was packed inside. I ordered shrimp spring rolls and a beef pho and man. I was so sad when I got to the bottom of the bowl. It's also reasonably priced (about $15 for a large). I've been recommending this place to everyone I know. The broth was amazing and there were a generous amount of meat. The s1 large bowl had even more meat. The broth was rich. It was great! The servers were attentive and nice. So I live super close to the first Pho Nom Nom on Rockville Pike and Wooton Pkwy area, but because it's usually so busy with limited parking, I'm so glad they opened up another location! Came here with some family on a Saturday around noon, and was happily surprised that it wasn't packed at all. The food was still consistent with the other location which is the most important part. My family is usually pretty picky with their pho, but they liked it here so it was a win for us. :) The service was also quick, and they used robots to carry the bowls of pho since there was a lot more room in the restaurant. read more

As it was our first visit, we were wanted a broad tasting. Mostly hot fried items and a cold shrimp and beef roll (read menu online for details), yet we liked them all. 10.19.23 This is their second location. Their original is on Rockville Pike. Food: -Pork egg rolls (A1) - crispy wrapper, but bland on its own. Fish sauce gave it more flavor. -broken rice (rice with fractured rice grains) with pork chop, shredded pork and choice of egg (G3) - It wasn't broken rather just jasmine rice so right off the bat I was disappointed. I went here for the first time for a carry out order right after Christmas, just before NYE so it was nice and packed inside. I always take that as a good sign! It is small but clean with a good amount of seating. One small issue...The menu online was not updated so when I went to pick up my order it was a few dollars more ( from $16.95 to $20). I pointed it out and they adjusted the price. Make sure to confirm the prices when placing the order. I ordered the P8 xl size and it was VERY good and the portions were as expected.
