This location is in an industrial/commercial area of Newmarket, so it's not as visible as other locations around the city. We finished our Costco shopping and wanted something soupy, so I was happy to be able to find this especially in Newmarket! The decor is very similar to other locations, e.g the cherry blossom trees. We got the special pho and chicken/pork/egg rice. The rice portion was HUGE! I could only eat half and brought the rest home. In terms of food, the soup was lacking some flavour; it was missing some umami. The chicken/pork were both grilled properly. However, I feel other locations seem to be better? Best pho in Newmarket. Located in an unassuming industrial plaza it is VERY busy even on the weekday. We came on a Monday night. We ordered Vietnamese Rice Paper Wrap Special, Beef Rib Noodle Soup and Grilled Pork Vermicelli bowl. Everything came out quickly. It is so delicious definitely worth the pricetag. I came for lunch on a Sunday at 11:30am and was surprised to see it already pretty busy. By 12:00 I couldn't see an empty table, though there are a couple areas I couldn't see from my table, which may have been open. Regardless, it's clear they're very popular! The service was friendly enough but it's clear they're prioritize speed. They operate quickly and efficiently, as they're ready to take your order as soon as you're ready and I got my whole order in maybe 5 minutes. It was really impressive how quickly they get food out to tables. I also like how all the condiments, napkins, and utensils are stored at the table. This is fantastic when you have kids that drop their chopsticks or make a small mess. No need to bother the staff because extra chopsticks and napkins are all within arms reach. The shrimp rolls were really big and really tasty. They were tightly packed and well made, as they're held together really nicely as I ate them. I ordered the rare beef and beef ball pho soup. The broth was tasty but a little greasy. I was surprised with how much beef it came with though! They do not skimp on the beef! Overall, I really enjoyed Pho Anh Vu. Came here for lunch, this place is just by my work place. Lots of booths and seats available with the kitchen in the back. There's a kitchen beside the cash area and a private room on the opposite side of it. Service was fast, easy, no issues. The server was quick and attentive, gave suggestions. Food is huge portions, lots of rice that it came with. Also lots of meat and the spring roll was crispy with nice fillings inside. We asked to sub the vermicelli noodles with rice because they didn't offer chicken and spring roll on rice, only in the vermicelli category. I would come here again next time I'm in the office. Excellent pho restaurant. It is a great addition to the growing pho scene in Newmarket and Aurora. Pho Anh Vu has an extensive menu. Although it is a bit pricier than the average pho restaurant, their quality and portions reflect that. Their pho is phenomenal- their broth is so flavourful (beef broth), you can't compare it to any other spots in the area. Staff are friendly, attentive and always welcoming. My go to spot for Vietnamese in the area. Some items that I frequently order are the beef ribs pho and the special bun bo hue (weekends only) . The beef ribs pho comes with a big beef bone (while quantity lasts) and I always have so much left over that I can take it home and make another meal with it. So happy we finally have a good Pho/Vietnamese restaurant up north! Service is super quick here, with lots of seating available, and very inviting space. My go-to is the Bun Bo Hue and Pho with rare beef & balls. The portion sizes are massive! Very few Northern Hannoi style Pho places around. Third or fourth one I've come across, and this was the best one, making it the best bowl of Pho I've ever had! Seriously. This is the northmost outlet of this chain, at least in Ontario & tucked into a light industrial plaza off the main road. They have above average prices. The menus are slicker than usual, with more photos & more modern design. They get 3.5 stars. We were served cold jasmine tea on being seated. It was very fragrant. Hue style beef special was good & pretty spicy. The soup was rich & there were many toppings, both in variety & quantity, which were good. Hai phong style vermicelli noodles with fish: The soup was rich with a sour edge & the dill was a nice addition to the flavour profile. The fishcake was springy & it & the fried fish were tasty. The fish was crispy. There were 2 pieces of fish & 3 of fishcake, so there could've been more of both. read more

One of my new favourite pho spots in town! The portion sizes are so great for the price. The soup flavour is so nostalgic and warming to eat, it's perfect for the fall weather. My go to is #19, it truly is so comforting and delicious. I would also recommend having their sugar cane juice or durian smoothie to go along with your pho. The service is super quick and all the servers are super generous. The restaurant itself is quite spacious. The bathrooms are also super clean. Would definitely recommend this spot! Best of the best. They use tenderloin for their pho, unrealballz. The mango salad is best in its class not even close. Spring rolls fresh, hot, crispy and not greasy. Fresh shrimp rolls, perfect, rice paper not too thick and all ingredients inside very fresh and delicious. Food so good had to get a chicken broken rice to go for my kid. There you will be greeted by a whole host of servers and workers. I ordered a few regular items and they were all well made, great with their portions and authentic. The items included: - Bun Bo Hue (Mildly Spice Beef Noodle) - The Bun Bo Hue is a staple in Vietnamese food. Aromatic and mildly spicy flavours with a mixture of beef, fish cakes and thick vermicelli noodles make this a great dish all the time. I personally like this in the colder months as it can get hot. - Com 3 Mau (3 Combination Rice) - I love broken rice and the combination of lemon grass bbq'd meats and a steam egg with fresh veggies and the fish sauce. YOU GOTTA HAVE THE FISH SAUCE TO PUT IT ALL TOGETHER! Something so simple and easy but when done well, makes it such a satisfying dish.. also the portions are solid. - Cha Gio (Meat Spring Rolls) - The spring rolls were quite standard and while they were good, weren't really anything to write home about. If this is something you're craving, go ahead... otherwise for the same price, get the fish sauce chicken wings. Overall services was great and friendly but often time there were to many workers that made it seem like they're always there right beside you.. not a bad thing but if you want privacy, might feel a-bit weird. The restaurant itself is very clean and newly renovated with individually wrapped chop sticks and lots of condiments for your soupy needs.
