    Dry Rangoon

Sometimes Yelp leads you to great places and other times leads you to dumps. Unfortunately this time I was directed to a newer Vietnamese restaurant in our area that we were excited to try out. Was greeted for our take out order by a gentleman who couldn't be bothered to lift his ass out of a bar seat. Once at the register, was notified by a piece of paper that take out orders would be charged an additional $.50 per item. Since this is a deceptive marketing practice suggested that this needs to be disclosed to customers online and on phone with a response of "huh-huh"?! Ok, obviously been a hard day in this restaurant and immediately understood their attitude when I opened our orders first box. This place has been able to take out all the spice, vibrancy, and color that we desire from Vietnamese food. If you could possibly collect all the non- desirable aspects of food in general, this place was able to assemble it in our order. Pad Thai bland, crab rangoon over fried, and pho a pathetic representation of a great dish.

We came here a few nights ago and met up with some friends. The weather was rainy and cool so it was a perfect night for pho. This was our first time here and we were instantly greeted when we came in. The first thing you notice when you come in is the entire restaurant is clean and bright but also cozy in the evenings. We (my partner and I) started our order with a couple of beers and shared a plate of crab cheese wantons. Now, I've had my fair share of crab cheese wantons in the Denver/Littleton area, and sometimes it is hit or miss, but THIS PLACE fried them to perfection. They weren't burnt and they weren't soggy, they were literally one of the best wantons I've ever eaten and you could tell they were fresh and made to order. We then ordered two medium veggie and tofu pho with veggie broth and they were equally phenomenal. There was a nice variety of veggies and the hoisin added the perfect amount of sweetness and a little saltiness to the already great broth. The noodles were also a great consistency. The waiter that brought our food was also so kind and he had us laughing with a couple of jokes which is a nice touch, honestly. Both him and our waitress were very kind and they made us feel welcome the whole time we were there. We will be back and will be ordering out as well in the near future!

    Bugs in food

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Do not support this business and the scum of who the owner is. We ordered takeout for our first meals from this place and were looking forward to it. It traveled home sealed and unopened. When we opened our food, we saw a bug appear, and it definitely came from the food, not anywhere else, as it was sealed until that moment. So, we were disgusted and threw the food away. When we called about it to let them know, we wanted a replacement and they offered a refund. Under the impression we could get replacements, like a reasonable thing to do, we revisited the restaurant and they told us we are not getting replacements and never going to be served at this restaurant again, according to the owner. This is completely unacceptable customer service and poor business practice. We have never experienced this treatment in food service before and genuinely wanted to support the business despite the issue. We were not upset until we were refused service by the owner. The people who run this place need to own to their mistakes, learn how to treat the people that they serve right, and how to make things right. It's unbelievable that this even happened, but I guess when you own your own business, you can do whatever you want, right? Which means disappointing people who want to put money in your pocket, but being an asshole instead.

Best pho I have had in a long time. This place really surprised me!! The rare steak pho was amazing, and the papaya smoothie is SO GOOD. I'll probably be back again for lunch later this week, I think I've found my new favorite spot. 10/10 would recommend.

We always have fast and friendly service here with delicious food to top it off! It's not too crowded and you can walk right in and sit down. Large portions so I can have more the next day!

A little pricy but really great vermicelli! The Pho is delicious too, but the chicken tends to be a little dry.

Well that's how I felt this morning, so VinaMeals was where I ended. I ordered two items, so join me and read my food journey... Just had bánh ít tràn, a Vietnamese, steamed sticky rice dumplings dish. This dish reminds me of my mom's cooking where she used to make us this dish all the time to eat for breakfast. Lots ingredients inside the these three dumplings including mung bean, wood ear mushroom, jicama carrot, onion, garlic, minced with pork and shrimp. It came with steamed bean sprouts, cucumber, and fish sauce to dip the dumplings or just pour over the dish. I felt the accommodating items didn't add any value to this dish, but boy, did these dumplings bring back good memory. Of course, when you are here, you have to get their small wonton soup. It is one of the best I have ever eaten. I believe the broth that is the star, and the wontons come very close but just a second too late. This small soup is very filling, and I always wonder if adding a bowl of plain rice into the soup will make this dish a complete meal. We will have to find out later. As I am sitting here writing this review, I am truly enjoying the atmosphere. Listening to the music over my head, I am sing a little bit too loud, louder than mouthing the words. My head is moving from side to side, and my feet are tapping. I found my happiness here even though we leapt/spring one hour ahead earlier today.

We found decent street parking and arrived around 12 noon, to a fairly packed house. My nephew picked the table near the window, which was the perfect spot. The light from outside poured into the large windows, providing a cozy yet bright vibe for lunch. The interior is large and long - allowing parties of all sizes to dine in. Our server, a nice younger man, approached us to get our drink and food order - we stuck with water and opted for hot honey garlic wontons and two medium bowls of piping hot chicken pho. The wontons arrived first - and were SO good. Perfectly fried, spicy, hot and garlicy! yum! The pho arrived shortly after, and both my nephew and I licked our lips - ready to dive in. The broth itself is good. Very tame but full of flavor. I loaded mine up with bean sprouts, jalapenos, siracha, onion and basil, while he kept it simple with just sprouts and a dash of hot sauce. The noodle to chicken ratio was perfect and tasted delicious! YUM!! The medium size is massive - and I wasn't able to finish all of my meal, but our server happily provided a to-go container for me to take the remainder home with me! Pricing is on point here and reflected in the quality of ingredients and portions - in that our meals and wontons was just over $50 with tip! I look forward to another visit!

Turned out to be a great decision! Pho Real is humble and unassuming but has quite a few special dishes unseen anywhere else. Such as the Banh Mi Crepe which was savory, fun to eat and delicious! I've been to Pho 99 a couple of times since the time of this review during different days and times of the day. Parking for the restaurant is widely available as it is located in a shopping plaza. Even during lunch rushes, I haven't seen the parking lot fill up. There is ample seating in the restaurant as well, with tables and booths everywhere. Service is fast and food comes out fast - we order our food and it comes out 5-10 minutes every time. I have tried their pho numerous times here and every time, they give you a very generous amount of meat and fixings in the noodle soup. At most pho places that I've been to, I'm usually full after finishing the entire bowl, which includes the broth. But here, I'm pretty full after just finishing the solid contents of the bowl. There are many cuts of beef and you just keep finding more beef after thinking you have finished them all - which is a great thing when enjoying pho. The broth is seasoned well and the noodles are slightly chewy which is great. I don't think I have been to another pho place where they are this generous with the protein! Price wise, very fair - $15 for a large bowl of pho that can maybe even feed two people. I think that Pho 99 is a fantastic restaurant in the Littleton area, and I am glad that they are a dining option here. I will definitely like to revisit again to try their other options!
