We heard Asian Spice was offering HK BBQ and wanted to try them out. They'd be a lot more convenient for us to grab some food from than Federal. They only offer it Tue-Fri 12-8pm and sat - sun 1-8pm. We dropped by on a Saturday around 4pm and they already ran out of the steamed chicken. I ended up getting the 2 combo($19) with BBQ pork and duck. My husband got the 3 combo ($20) with BBQ pork, duck and roast pork. They packed our boxes very generously. The chef was cutting everything right in front. There's a little sitting area to wait which is nice. The interior was clean and had a decent amount of tables. I really enjoyed the BBQ pork and roast pork. Both were cooked and seasoned well. The roast pork had the crunchy skin that my son loved. The duck was also very tender, but I like the skin very crispy and seasoned fairly well. This was lightly seasoned and the skin was quite soft. This takeout box lasted us 2 meals and we both enjoyed it. I'm definitely coming back for that steamed chicken! read more

Hands down our favorite takeout in Southwest Denver. The Tom Kha Gai soup is soooo good. We also love the Hot & Sour Soup. They also make the BEST sesame chicken I have found in Denver and I've lived here for 20+ years. It's perfectly crispy (although I have found it can depend on the chef). Stopped in for a quick takeout because I was craving Asian food, and this place absolutely delivered. I ordered the drunken noodles and they hit the spot, super flavorful and exactly what I needed. It's a small, cozy space but full of happy chatter and the kind of energy that tells you the food is good. There's a parking lot (major win), which made the whole takeout stop easy and convenient. Quick service, delicious food, and good vibes. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. read more

The young man who works here is always so pleasant and gives great customer service! Generous portions fair pricing. The only downfall is the eggrolls are more like a spring roll. I am from Chicago and am used to a nice crunchy crisp egg roll. read more

Ordered Drunken Noodles and dumplings and they were both rubbery with not a lot of flavor

We were visiting family and Chinese was chosen as the dinner choice. We have a couple of places we typically get take-out from but this evening I wanted to try Asian Spice, which I had been reading about. Ok, so bye-bye to the other places because everyone agreed, this is the new go-to place and I'm understanding my family has already been back like three times!!! We decided to go to the restaurant, being the first time so we could get a feel for everything and ask questions about the different options. We landed on the following: Lomein with chicken: Tasty noodles with chunks of chicken, a combination of vegetables in a light and flavorful sauce. Orange chicken: Perfectly fried and lightly breaded chunks of chicken served in a tangy (not spicy) orange sauce with broccoli. Teriyaki chicken: Another great chicken dish with flavorful sauce and veggies. Sesame chicken: Fried similar to the orange chicken but with a nice sweet/spicy sauce and covered with sesame seeds. Beef with broccoli: Oh my gosh...this was a favorite with some of the most tender slices of beef, large pieces of broccoli and carrot slices, tossed in a light and flavorful sauce. Coconut shrimp: We got two orders because each one comes with 5 pieces. We all agreed that this was fantastic because the breading didn't overwhelm the shrimp...they were big butterflied shrimp and the sauce they give for dipping was great. You could taste coconut but it wasn't overwhelming. Fried dumplings (potstickers): We chose the fried version and they came filled with a great filling of pork and veggies. The dipping sauce was another hit! A lot of food to feed a lot of hungry people! It didn't take long for them to take, prepare, and serve our order. Everything was packed up great and in a box, making carrying easy. They do charge 10 cents for bagging but in the big scheme of things...who cares? For the price of everything and the value and quality of the food served...it was $160 plus tip for everything. Sorry but no photos this time around! By the time we got home, unpacked everything and turned around...people were serving and eating! Well worth the visit and I know we'll be back when we are in town. First time coming to this restaurant. Saw in and decided to check their menu and at soon I saw they had BBQ Pork I knew I needed to visit and check them out. Unfortunately when I went that day they didn't have it available. BUT I will definitely visit again. I ordered the Drunken Noodles - Shrimp, Beef and Chicken (Combination) and the Orange chicken that came with Rice (which I ordered Fried rice). I have to say the flavor, the way the food looked, everything tasted so delicious. The orange chicken wasn't soggy, the drunken noodles tasted so yummy. Perfection! Now Imagine when I go back and get that BBQ Pork? So I will need to write another review. The service was on point. Super friendly, patient because when I went I didn't know what to order because I went with the idea of the BBQ pork. This restaurant has gone down considerably in service and food. I got takeout the other day and no one was in the restaurant and I had to wait for someone to notice I was there (no bell to ring). The energy here is delightful clean and cozy! We came here for our first date and staff were kind, caring, friendly and without asking, they generously gave us this phenomenal chocolate coffee moose cake dessert that was quite literally the best chocolate cake I've ever had. Hats off to the chef!!! I had a simple bowl of fried rice which was phenomenal and my vegetarian lover really enjoys the tofu here. It was a delightful first experience for both of us. The drunken noodles were salty, and also the noodles seemed not completely cooked, it was still a little bit hard. It also seems to have a great amount of MSG. We didn't feel very good after eating some of the food. They also didn't have the BBQ portion of the menu anymore, it was a disappointment. read more

Review Update: Starting ordering again from Asian Spice after the COVID years and a major remodeling of the restaurant, and as before did not disappoint. Using the free online app Beyond Menu, I ordered pickup (delivery also available), which provided online updates and was ready right on time. Hot and Sour soup was spiced to the requested level and had the correct consistency expected to this soup. The entrees of Chicken Lo Mein and Roast Duck were both prepared well and were well portioned for takeout. The nice addition to the menu is the options for Roast Duck and BBQ pork, which my order of roast duck was very good. The one drawback of ordering the whole or half duck was the absence of a side of steam rice, which seems to naturally accompany a dish like this. Overall, Asian Spice still is a great place for Asian dishes and will continue to visit the restaurant in the future. read more

Someone asked me whether there is any Chinese BBQ shop in southwest Denver, as it would be an equally long drive to go north to South Federal or east to Great Wall Supermarket in Aurora. Actually Asian Spice started offering Chinese BBQ last summer, just not a lot of people know about it. It has most of the Chinese BBQ staples, such as roasted duck, BBQ pork, roasted pork and soy sauce chicken. Heard they were all quite authentic, tasty and certainly worth a try for Chinese BBQ lovers in that part of town. read more

This food at Asian Spice was so freaking good! We had potstickers and eggrolls for an appetizer. They were amazing. Perfectly cooked and crispy. My husband had the General Tao's Chicken with fried rice, I had the Penang curry with beef and steamed rice. We also shared a hot saki (bogo right now!). EVERYTHING was perfect. It's a really nice place inside, super clean. The service was beyond stellar, and the lady serving us even gifted us a lovely dessert for coming in. Man, I've been a loyal Asian Spice customer since we moved to our home in early 2019. It was the FIRST restaurant we ordered from the night we moved in. One of the few places that still had a zero dollar or affordable delivery fee. And then they go and charge $6.98 for delivery. We live 1 mile from the restaurant. Way to burn a loyal customer. Food was decent, never spectacular but what you would expect for a take out place. Sadly, we'll start going to Asian Chefs at the corner of Kipling and Chatfield, which costs less to deliver and offers sushi. $0 to $7 is a huge jump, just for delivery. It seems like a huge money grab and I don't want to support it. $3? Fine. Don't be another Door Dash and up charge every chance you get. read more
