This family business is great! The staff is extremely friendly--they said they are open every holiday. We had a huge order for Thanksgiving.... the size portions are okay. And the pricing was also okay. I would give the food a 7/10....overall, I would give this place another chance down the road. But lovely place in Lakewood overall. read more

We ordered two dinner combinations: Beef with Vegetables and Happy Family. They came with an egg roll, a choice of soup (including egg drop or wonton), and either fried or steamed rice. The entrees were delicious. What really stood out was how tender the meats and shrimp were. Delectable! The prices (about $18) were very reasonable. And the staff members were very friendly and seemed genuinely to care that we had an excellent dining experience. This was our second meal here this week. Wow! The best Chinese fried rice I've had in Colorado. I absolutely love fried rice, and this one was a real explosion of flavor. Seriously delicious, delicious, delicious. Everything we tried was amazing, but the rice was definitely the star. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in. The girl who helped us was super kind and welcoming. The place smelled clean and looked very clean, and you could tell they were ready to receive customers. They also have a lot of awards on the wall, and after tasting the food, I totally understand why. The food is truly delicious. I work close to here so we love ordering lunch from Peking Tokyo express . Last week our spring rolls had rotten shrimp in them. I called to let them know and they were overly kind about assuring me they'll give me a credit for another day. today I called to redeem that credit and they were great! Didn't hesitate to give me my full credit, as well as making sure I felt satisfying and apologizing for shrimp mishap I love this example of good business. She had the combination noodle bowl and she really liked it. I had the king pao chicken - I requested spicy, but it was not. Big chunks of pepper - including red bell pepper, onion, and chicken. It had peanuts but I added more (this was takeout). The fried rice I got with it was only fried rice - no vegetables of any kind were in it. It was just ok. Kids had General Tsao chicken and liked it. The pork egg rolls were pretty good. I liked the crab Rangoon, but she thought they were too sweet. I have been here a few times over the last few weeks. Each time I've been here I've been treated in deferentially. Like they didn't care if I was there or not. Today was no different. We were seated, coldly. Given water, coldly. Order taken, coldly. Food delivered, coldly. Bill delivered, coldly. Not a single smile or an appreciative glance. The staff didn't even make eye contact with us and did t converse with us in any way. We were the only people in the restaurant. The egg drop soup was fantastic. My Thai curry noodles didn't taste like curry at all. It was good but not at all what I was expecting nor wanting. My lunch dates said their food was average. Not terrible but nothing to write home about. The portions were solid and the rice was well prepared. The restaurant is clean, bright, beautifully decorated and modern. Their choice of college, including purple, are absolutely fantastic. I'm really sorry the service was so detached, impersonal and cold. I have the place a few chances before I write a review as I figured the cold service might have simply been a bad day but after three in a row, it's clear this is simply how the place functions. Impersonally. They are not rude. They are not mean. They really didn't do anything wrong aside from making me/us feel like we were not important. In business, that's a cardinal sin. I won't return. CHECK RECENT REVIEWS! New ownership running this place into the ground. Portions used to be huge, dinner special included soup and I could sub my rice for rice noodles without an upcharge. No delivery driver so they gave free flan looking things that were not good. Should've ordered from somewhere else. The server they used to have was amazing, remembered my order every time we came in. New server not as good, drinks not filled timely. Very disappointing and I won't be back despite coming here for over ten years before this. Edit to add: food tastes cheap. Not as much flavor, crab cheese wontons used to be overflowing with filling and now hardly have any. Best place in the world for crab cheese wontons! I have literally traveled the world to numerous countries and this place beats them all! The Pho Soup is delicious! We always order the veggie tofu soup with crunchy noodles. The egg drop soup also best in the world! You don't even need soy sauce the egg drop soup is spot on for flavor. Anything with the lemongrass sauce you won't be disappointed. Also one of my favorites is the shrimp in lobster sauce. I get it without pork and it's amazing! read more

Dip them in the sweet and sour sauce mixed with the smallest amount of mustard. You're welcome! Egg rolls- I have loved their egg rolls in the past, but they were just alright, today. I've had the egg rolls enough to know that they are typically perfection. Sesame chicken- I can't say enough wonderful things about this dish. It's incredibly affordable and the serving size was enough for 2. Vegetable fried rice- I love, LOVE, love their veggie fried rice! There are large pieces of broccoli and zucchini in it. This dish feeds 2 and is somewhere around $10. Go check it out for yourself! You won't be disappointed! Your drinks will stay full and if they don't, there's a pot of hot tea on every table! I just ordered delivery from them last night for the first time. The food was very good overall. I got the sesame chicken, which several others have commented on here. It was really well prepared, fresh and flavorful. I also had the combo fried rice, which had some nice large sized shrimp, white meat chicken, and pork. It was good but a little bland. The only thing I couldn't finish was the wonton soup - it was too salty for my taste. They also threw in a free egg roll, which a lot of Chinese restaurants used to do, but not so much anymore. That was a really nice touch. The delivery driver was a very sweet woman who told me that I had an Amazon package outside next to my porch, and picked it up and handed it to me. Very kind. We have ordered delivery several times from here because it is close to our home. We do like the hot & sour soup. Egg rolls are okay. They are hit and miss. our entrees are usually chicken dishes. Today we got General Tao's chicken and sesame chicken. Chicken was over cooked and dry on both dishes. Flavor on sesame chicken was better than General Tso's. I have been ordering from here for over 40 years and was my go to place. I ordered tonight sesame chicken and crab cream cheese wontons. This was terrible the sesame chicken was soft not crispy like the last 40 years it was no longer served with sesame seeds or rice noodles just disgusting lettuce and not good sauce asked for spicy was not. Called and they were very disappointing I informed them I did not get sesame chicken and have no idea what it was. They said well sometimes we make mistakes. Had I known it changed owners I would have not ordered and won't again. The wontons were all cream cheese and too sweet judging on the migraine I now have I am guessing they are using Sucralose not regular it is the only thing that triggers migraines for me. My office orders from here regularly for lunch. I typically order schezuan chicken or veggie lo mein and both are delicious. The egg rolls are the big kind. Not the skimpy ones in the egg roll paper. Only thing I have found is their crab cheese wontons are a little too sweet for me. Their menu is huge from typical Chinese fair to Thai curries, and I believe they also have some Vietnamese dishes. Let me start by saying we have been eating here for decades. As another reviewer stated, the crab wontons are the best we have ever had. They didn't always have Thai or Vietnamese on the menu. Some of those dishes are better than others. I happen to love the pad Thai. All this said, we think the place is under new ownership. We haven't seen the same people working there for quite a while. And we are noticing that the flavors are changing. We had both of our "standard fare" Chinese dishes this past week and both of them tasted remarkably different than before - and we didn't like them as much. Also, the restaurant is very cluttered and doesn't feel organized or clean. If you sit on the one side by the register, you are essentially eating in a storage area. After this last experience we are talking about trying some other Chinese restaurants in our area to see if we can find someplace we like better. This same thing happened to New Saigon when they sold a few years ago. Customers like us stopped eating there when the food changed under new ownership. Now the restaurant is closed. Frontroom Pizza was another victim of new ownership changes running a long-standing business into the ground. read more

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sad! 2020 strikes again... This place is under new ownership, and it shows. But not in a good way. (They even apologized when I called to ask... they assure me the same chef is there...) The wontons are no longer the fluffy pillows of deliciousness, instead greasy underwhelming and soggy pockets. The orange chicken swims in vaguely orange sauce with no spice. The pad thai is like overcooked, day old spaghetti. The sweet and sour sauce for the egg rolls is watery and drips off immediately. This was our go-to for Chinese food, but we'll be starting a search for a new place. So sad! read more

How many years later and still amazing!! They got rid of my beloved sweet and spicy shrimp so I was hesitant and heartbroken to try something new. I got the lunch order of the garlic shrimp (no celery, bamboo shoots or water chestnuts) and it was pretty good. No sweat and spicy but good. The crab cheese wontons are better than I remember. Next time I've gotta remember to get a whole order (and not just the two that come with lunch). Also, next time I also want to try the lo mein (people on Yelp rave about it) and some spring rolls. Was super excited to order from here based on the reviews. Chinese food delivery has been super disappointing of late so I really had high hopes for this one. It was late so we decided to pick up and take to go. I think it was 9:30 and they closed at 10. This shouldn't have been an issue since we weren't dining there, but you could tell the staff was annoyed. While we were waiting, I started to look around and noticed that it wasn't dirty, but wasn't that clean, and there was a literal wall of boxes. IN THE DINING ROOM. I'm sure these are for to go orders, but this was highly unusual and unpleasant. At least put a curtain up if you must have them there. When we got home, one dish was fantastic and the other so-so. I might have ordered from here again but then I started not to feel well. After this, I started reading the negative reviews and was shocked to see one comment on their failing health codes. So I looked it up myself, and sure enough, they have. Will not be going back here, regardless of the reviews. No way I can get that out of my head now. read more

We ordered Thai iced teas and we appreciated that they came in to go cups immediately so that we could bring them home with us. The crab and cheese wantons were good. We used some of the sauces on the table to add to the wantons. The egg drop soup had a good egg flavor to it, but the texture was goopy as I assume it should be. I noticed a change in the flavor the last time we ordered but thought it may have been a one off. Our food this evening was not even presented the way it had been over the years and it was flavorless. My entire family was so disappointed, even our 6yr old noticed this was not the same. I ordered like I normally would and was informed they no longer serve rice with some dinner items. The menu changed, the prices have changed, and it's clear the recipes have changed. The lo mein and wontons used to be the best in town. The noodles tasted like over cooked ramen & the wontons tasted like cream cheese. Our food felt undercooked and it made us a little nervous. Pre-pandemic, when we make the triop for dine in, the service and food are top notch.
