Crab cheese wontons, really nice crispy shell with a creamy interior
    Nika T.

Everything we tried was great and service was friendly and prompt. We had crab cheese wontons, combo bowl and another noodle dish plus the meatball pho. For the pho, the broth was nicely beefy and rich. Plenty of noodles and broth and nice accompanying plate of bean sprouts, basil, limes and jalapeños. The appetizer wontons were really good and we all got our own dipping bowl of sauce which I personally loved! It was amazing with a spoonful of the chili sauce that was on the table. We all devoured these happily. I had a combination noodle bowl and although I personally would have liked more lettuce at the bottom and less noodles, some people would have preferred it just the way it came. Either way the meats were tender, grilly and nicely flavorful with a super fresh taste to them. The egg rolls were a little soggier than I prefer but not bad, and a very generous portion of them. I ordered a side of plain pho broth and it was really savory and delicious. Not too sweet or unusual tasting- just beefy and rich. The other member of our party ordered a noodle dish on the back of the menu with a description of "beef and chicken" but I think it was just supposed to come with either or as it arrived with just chicken. The nice gentleman who took then order called it "lo mein" but it wasn't called that on the menu. In any case it was a really great noodle dish with lots of veggies and meat as well. Everyone likes what they had and agreed we'd like to visit again and it was worth the 25 minute drive from home, which is saying a lot because I'm usually not willing to stray too far for dinner. However I'd heard someone say the broth was great here so I had to come by and try it! So glad I did!

Owners changed last time I came. The sentimental feeling is gone. Place looks the same but people are different. It definitely tastes different too. I asked the current owners what happened and they mentioned that they took over for their relative. Bummer. The cream cheese fried dumpling was ok. Wouldn't get it again. The pho tasted more fast food than authentic. Maybe the owners will change again and it'll change but until then, I'll try another place.

No frills pho shop. The large pho is absolutely huge - great value if you're super hungry. We loved the spring roll appetizers.

Well that's how I felt this morning, so VinaMeals was where I ended. I ordered two items, so join me and read my food journey... Just had bánh ít tràn, a Vietnamese, steamed sticky rice dumplings dish. This dish reminds me of my mom's cooking where she used to make us this dish all the time to eat for breakfast. Lots ingredients inside the these three dumplings including mung bean, wood ear mushroom, jicama carrot, onion, garlic, minced with pork and shrimp. It came with steamed bean sprouts, cucumber, and fish sauce to dip the dumplings or just pour over the dish. I felt the accommodating items didn't add any value to this dish, but boy, did these dumplings bring back good memory. Of course, when you are here, you have to get their small wonton soup. It is one of the best I have ever eaten. I believe the broth that is the star, and the wontons come very close but just a second too late. This small soup is very filling, and I always wonder if adding a bowl of plain rice into the soup will make this dish a complete meal. We will have to find out later. As I am sitting here writing this review, I am truly enjoying the atmosphere. Listening to the music over my head, I am sing a little bit too loud, louder than mouthing the words. My head is moving from side to side, and my feet are tapping. I found my happiness here even though we leapt/spring one hour ahead earlier today.

The menu is limited in the number of items but they are all over the map (in a *good* way -- really something for everyone). We ordered a Bahn Xeo crepe (not quite our bag, texture-wise). My wife ordered the Noodle Bowl (enjoyed tremendously). I ordered "Grandma's Meatloaf," which was actually tasty, if a bit crumbly, meatloaf, using noodles as the binding/moisture agent. They have very imaginative and tasty cocktails. SERVICE: Despite a very full house, service was pretty attentive and very pleasant. AMBIANCE: Decor-wise, the place is great -- large fans on the wall, baskets on the ceiling to mask pipes and ducts plus reduce noise levels, nicely attractive, and overall evocative of the Asian motif. The place was very crowded, and the only deuce was right by the door and the cold breeze -- but the staff made us feel welcome and the experience was just what we wanted. NET-NET: We had a fine meal, and enjoyed ourselves. Who could ask for more?

On a recent cool and rainy Friday, my 8-year-old nephew wanted a date with Koko (!!) at Pho Real…read more How can one say no to that? Pho Real is a gem in downtown Littleton - for real! We found decent street parking and arrived around 12 noon, to a fairly packed house. My nephew picked the table near the window, which was the perfect spot. The light from outside poured into the large windows, providing a cozy yet bright vibe for lunch. The interior is large and long - allowing parties of all sizes to dine in. Our server, a nice younger man, approached us to get our drink and food order - we stuck with water and opted for hot honey garlic wontons and two medium bowls of piping hot chicken pho. The wontons arrived first - and were SO good. Perfectly fried, spicy, hot and garlicy! yum! The pho arrived shortly after, and both my nephew and I licked our lips - ready to dive in. The broth itself is good. Very tame but full of flavor. I loaded mine up with bean sprouts, jalapenos, siracha, onion and basil, while he kept it simple with just sprouts and a dash of hot sauce. The noodle to chicken ratio was perfect and tasted delicious! YUM!! The medium size is massive - and I wasn't able to finish all of my meal, but our server happily provided a to-go container for me to take the remainder home with me! Pricing is on point here and reflected in the quality of ingredients and portions - in that our meals and wontons was just over $50 with tip! I look forward to another visit!

Turned out to be a great decision! Pho Real is humble and unassuming but has quite a few special dishes unseen anywhere else. Such as the Banh Mi Crepe which was savory, fun to eat and delicious! The other dishes we tried all came loading with meats and quite tasty. Even though we didn't see a single Vietnamese wait staff, hopefully the ones working in the kitchen all were. We were well taken care of by the hard working staff though. Beats having to sit in the crowded space next door!

I've been to Pho 99 a couple of times since the time of this review during different days and times of the day. Parking for the restaurant is widely available as it is located in a shopping plaza. Even during lunch rushes, I haven't seen the parking lot fill up. There is ample seating in the restaurant as well, with tables and booths everywhere. Service is fast and food comes out fast - we order our food and it comes out 5-10 minutes every time. I have tried their pho numerous times here and every time, they give you a very generous amount of meat and fixings in the noodle soup. At most pho places that I've been to, I'm usually full after finishing the entire bowl, which includes the broth. But here, I'm pretty full after just finishing the solid contents of the bowl. There are many cuts of beef and you just keep finding more beef after thinking you have finished them all - which is a great thing when enjoying pho. The broth is seasoned well and the noodles are slightly chewy which is great. I don't think I have been to another pho place where they are this generous with the protein! Price wise, very fair - $15 for a large bowl of pho that can maybe even feed two people. I think that Pho 99 is a fantastic restaurant in the Littleton area, and I am glad that they are a dining option here. I will definitely like to revisit again to try their other options!
