Had lunch at the new family owned and operated Vietnamese Pho noodle shop in Frontier Village on Saturday. No wait for a table. Incredibly prompt, friendly service. The pho is delicious with a rich broth and large quantities of meat. The Thai iced coffee and Iced Thai chai tea were also delicious. Although not on the menu (yet), shrimp spring rolls were also offered and were a real hit. The peanut dipping sauce is homemade and out of this world! The shrimp are prepared fresh for each spring roll order and still warm when received. YUM! Overall, an A+! Can't wait to return! read more

I am not a fan of pho, but my friends wanted to meet there and I agreed. The owners and servers are very friendly and extremely gracious. The place is small and seemed very clean. I had egg roll vermicelli and was very pleased with my choice especially because I was not expecting much. It was very tasty and I would order it again. Hubby and I went there for lunch today. Its a cold rainy day so what better for lunch than a bowl of hot pho. I ordered the steak pho and my hubby had the chicken pho. I really enjoyed the steak. Very thinly sliced and perfectly tender. My husband liked the chicken too but the chicken was a little chewy for his liking. Boiled chicken is like that anyway. The broth was great in both with plenty of rice noodles. The regular size bowl is big, my hubby helped me with my noodles. He's a huge noodle lover. The owner John is just as nice as he could be and his kids that work there are great too. I definitely recommend trying this place out. Looking forward to trying a different Pho next time! read more

This new and very welcome Vietnamese restaurant, at the far western end of Frontier Village, serves a limited but well-prepared range of dishes. My pho with steak and meatballs was a heaping portion with plenty of meat to go with the rich, long-simmered broth. My wife liked her shrimp vermicelli bowl--it had lots of tasty shrimp. Kudos to Pho Cafe because most restaurants short-change shrimp dishes. Service is friendly and pleasant. But the restaurant loses a star because the front of the small, brightly lit, sparsely decorated room is near the doors and floor-to-ceiling windows--it was too cold to eat in comfortavbly even though the outside temperature was 48 degrees. They need to improve heating and insulation. read more

We've been eagerly waiting for Pho Cafe to finally open and when I realized it was, I stopped by to pickup lunch for the hubby. Very nice decor and the staff were very welcoming. The menu only contained soups when I was there so I ordered a regular size brisket and round steak pho. While waiting, I could see the portions were very generous and smelled delicious. I asked if they were planning to expand the menu down the road and they said they'd like to but for now, only soups for now and fresh spring rolls coming very soon. Once I got home, I immediately poured the hot broth over the noodles and beef. Portion size of noodles and protein were very generous and together with the broth, it was delicious!!! We've lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 yrs and have eaten great pho/Vietnamese food (one of our all time favorites) during that time and this was soooooo good! Thank you Pho Cafe and the staff for a great dining experience and we look forward to many meal there in the future!!! read more
