A very convenient location for golfers of course but located between Prescott and Chino Valley AZ. The Friday fish fry is a fair spread for an edible meal. Of course Saturday with prime rib is a meat lovers meal. Of course for lunches they have a variety of sandwiches and meals. The atmosphere is moderately clean and ok for a cafeteria atmosphere. You don't normally think of a golf course restaurant for good food so we were pleasantly surprised with the freshness of our salad and the fish and chips, plus the view towards the granite Dells is excellent. Our server was very pleasant and even though we were there at 3:30, a bit before the standard Friday dinner time, we were able to get the fish and chips. They are not open for dinner during the week and the fish fry is only on Fridays. Hubby thought the fish was excellent. I had a huge chicken salad which was served on spinach with strawberries and goat cheese. This came with a side of poppyseed dressing made in house. The dressing was good, but not really needed with the flavorful chicken salad. Prices were very reasonable. Be aware that it can get a bit loud if there are a lot of golfers in the bar on the other side of the restaurant, this didn't bother us though and I would come here again. read more

Just love the cooler weather in Prescott. Had a very nice lunch at this golf course area. The menu has changed over the years and it's small but the food hits the spot. Great place for lunch after golf! Pretty views. Great service & friendly staff. I always have the cobb salad & it is the best!! Today Danny made my salad & it was a work of art!! He obviously takes great pride in his work. And I appreciated it. The salad is huge & always comes home with me for another meal. Worth the $14 price for sure. New to the area and stopped about a month ago to have an afterrnoon drink. Stayed for a hamburger. Since then we have enjoyed the evening specials, and the Thanksgiving dinner. It has to be the best hidden secret resturant in Prescott. Everything about the food is top notch, at resonable prices. Just had their chef special last night, the food was a 5 star, the price was very reasonable for the quality of food so another 5 stars, but service was 3 star at best which is a problem that could easily be fixed with one more server. Good food if they could keep a cook longer than 3 months. The front of the house manager was seen yelling at staff. Not real professional. So our group won't be returning for any food at any time. 5 stars does not, and should not, always mean a perfect restaurant. No restaurant is perfect, and things happen; it is how the staff handles these situations and accommodates its patrons. I ordered the Caesar Salad with grilled salmon, and after 20 minutes of waiting, my waitress came up and said that there was a mix-up with the tickets and asked if I was in a hurry because the salmon hadn't been cooked yet. I replied that I wasn't in a rush. She continued to apologize and said I would be getting discounted for the salad. Once my salad came out about 10-15 minutes later, she again apologized and thanked me for my patience (they were very accommodating while I was waiting). Halfway through the meal, the manager came over and also apologized for the wait and wanted to see how I was enjoying my meal. The salad was plentiful and the salmon was juicy and very tasty. As a 21-year-old, I'd imagined that at this golf course grill, it wouldn't be so much of an issue that something had gone wrong with my order. However, it was clear that I was important as a customer and the staff made that clear by being friendly and caring about my experience at the grill. This first-time experience along with the exceptional food, is why I believe this grille deserves a 5-star rating. read more

Breakfast in a golf country club. Fast and friendly service. I ordered the two egg plate that came with bacon and bacon it came with. 5 slices! Awesome (my heart will pay for it later). Pancake was a good 12 inches in diameter and very tasty. Price was eh, but again, it is a golf country club so what do you expect. Three stars because it was breakfast. Tasty yes, but nothing to rave about. If you want a solid breakfast, head here and you won't go wrong, but you won't be wow'ed either. read more

I've tried this place twice now: once about a year ago and recently last Sunday-- I'm done. The Reuben sandwich's meat was not tender. Same problem with the Margherita Chicken-- too tough to eat and no flavor. My husband asked for a hamburger "extremely well done," and it was pink inside. This restaurant has really gone downhill over the past year. In addition to losing our reservation and our requested window table, the regular Saturday night dinner menu has been replaced with a Prime Rib buffet. The beef is undercooked, tough and fatty and the carving station is not always staffed. The other buffet items are not labeled and that food is not even warmed. They do not even have bread & butter or rolls available. The appetizer/salad selection is limited to cheese slices (no crackers), unpeeled, veined shrimp and lettuce with only one type of salad dressing. The dessert is limited to a small slice of chocolate or vanilla cake. Long tables pretty much blocked access to this section. Some of the plates and silverware on the buffet table were dirty and there were no steak knives available to cut the roast beef. It was necessary to speak with the Executive Chef (this was his second week on the job) to get some attention paid to these problems. The table service for beverages cannot be any worse. We had a 10 minute wait for the waitress to bring water; twice that for two glasses of wine and one ice tea. When we inquired to the hostess about our beverage order we were told that "it's not my job" and we should try to find our long absent server. People who were seated well after us got their beverage order long before ours was brought to the table. This is a giant step backwards for what used to be a favorite restaurant. It will be a long time, if ever, before we will go back there again. Although the place was not that crowded, the noise level from both staff & patrons was exceedingly high. Not a place to have a relaxing or enjoyable meal. Based on last Saturday night's experience the one star rating I am giving Manzanita Grill was exceedingly generous. read more

We like to have dinner at the Manzanita Grille at least twice a month. We live close and love having a nice place to have dinner. Tonight was our anniversary and we made a reservation. The prime rib is consistently good. A glass of cabernet completes the meal. Robin provided us with excellent service (as usual) and brought us the yummiest cheesecake to celebrate our special day. Went here for Friday fish fry for the first time and it was great. Best fish we've had in the Prescott area. Baked and fried equally good. Only had lunch here once but it was also very good, a tuna melt. Will definitely go back for fish night. read more
